Last Friday, February 12th, Melanie Walsh sat down with The Triad to conduct an exclusive interivew. Here is the recording of that interview...
The scene fades in as Melanie Walsh is sitting in a leather chair. She smiles into the camera.
Melanie Walsh: Good evening! It's my pleasure to be sitting down with one of the newest groups in LAW...the Triad. Thank you all for sitting down with me tonight.
Amanda Clockworkx: The honor is ours.
Aimee Hathor: No problem.
Melanie Walsh: So, I have to ask. What brought three strong, independent women like yourself together?
Rayne smiles.
Rayne Daise: This should be fun.
Amanda Clockworkx: I think Rayne should answer this one.
Rayne Daise: Well, Amanda and I both wrestled in the same fed together. I was established and just came back to the fed while she was a newcomer to the fed. She left wrestling for a bit, then said she wanted back into it. I told her to call me and she did. We both kinda discussed a tag team idea from there.
Melanie Walsh: So, what brought you in Aimee?
Aimee Hathor: I am one of Amanda's daughters and I recently reunited with her. She was training by that time and after meeting me and seeing me in the ring, she and Rayne discussed making us a trio stable who competes in tag matches in a rotating fashion.
Amanda Clockworkx: Aimee use to wrestle in LAW under a different persona and angle.
Rayne Daise: If you can call that an angle.
Rayne laughs.
Melanie Walsh: Tell me more.
Amanda Clockworkx: About what Rayne said?
Melanie Walsh: About the persona and angle. I'd love to know more.
Aimee Hathor: I'll answer this seeing as it's about me. I wrestled in LAW prior to the Triad's arrival and was under the name Phage, La Luchadora Ultraviolenta. I wore a mask and only wrestled one match, but caused a lot of violence with my tag partner at the time. Then, I just vanished from the fed to kind of reinvent myself so to speak.
Rayne pulls the cap off of a bottle of water and takes a sip before re-capping the bottle.
Melanie Walsh: And now you three are back and with a mission so it seems. And that mission involves someone specific?
Amanda Clockworkx: Our plan is two-fold, actually. I'm taking one part of the plan while Rayne and Aimee take on the other for now.
Rayne Daise: The plan is already started with the next event LAW is having which is a PPV event.
Melanie Walsh: And Amanda's part involves Jennifer Drew?
Rayne Daise: Yay, you called her Jennifer! I told you two I would get it to catch on!
Amanda rolls her eyes.
Amanda Clockworkx: Jenn Drew has a tie to each of us, actually, she's my former companion, lover, girlfriend, what ever term people in this time use for it.
Aimee Hathor: She was my tag partner when wrestling as Phage.
Rayne Daise: I actually wrestled in the same fed as Jennifer, but she left right as I was coming in. Now we are both in the same place at the same time.
Melanie Walsh: I didn't realize how many connections you all had. So, what's the significance of the talisman you all wear? Does it hold a special meaning to you all?
Amanda starts laughing...
Melanie Walsh: I didn't realize I said something humorous.
Aimee Hathor: I actually stole some things from Jenn one night.
Amanda composes herself.
Amanda Clockworkx: Yes, there were three items we needed. Three items, three necklaces. The first I had already and the last two were what Aimee acquired from Jenn.
Aimee Hathor: From Jenn, I took a necklace Amanda gave her that had symbolic significance of their relationship. The other was a gold mechanical bug.
Amanda Clockworkx: The bug sounds really weird, but it was a gift after Jenn and I first met. It was a special time for us both. The necklace I gave her as a gift she learned about from a friend of mine who understood its symbolism while I was injured in the hospital. Jenn's necklace to me was given to me some time after that when she decided I was special enough to receive the key to her heart. The mechanical, I made myself, and I already told you that it was a gift after she and I met the first time.
Melanie Walsh: Aren't you afraid Jenn may try and come for them? Or with the three of you there are safety in numbers.
Rayne Daise: Oh, Mel, you are gonna love the reason for why we don't have to worry about Jennifer coming back for the items.
Rayne laughs.
Melanie Walsh: I'd love to hear that reason Rayne. And Amanda, it sounds like they hold very important meaning to Jenn and yourself.
Rayne Daise: The reason she doesn't come back for the items is because she knows what we did with them. We had all the gold pulled from each of them and melted the gold down.
Aimee Hathor: Yep, into three necklaces that we wear to the ring.
Rayne Daise: I was saving that part for Amanda to say, but ok.
Melanie Walsh: Wow, it seems like you three are definitely on the same page. A very strong bond you share.
Aimee Hathor: Oh, Rayne and Amanda have a bond we haven't mentioned yet.
Rayne Daise: I don't think this is the time or place for that, Aimee.
Aimee Hathor: Ok...
Melanie Walsh: The journalist in me is intrigued.
Rayne Daise: It's a very out there story about Amanda's other daughter.
Amanda Clockworkx: Can you keep an open mind?
Melanie Walsh: It's my job to keep an open mind.
Amanda Clockworkx: Ok, I am not from around here at all.
Mel's eyebrow raises in curiosity.
Amanda Clockworkx: A lot of people do not understand me and my background and most think of it as just a storyline or gimmick, but it's very much real and Aimee knows firsthand as well as my daughter, Veronica.
Aimee Hathor: Yes it's part of the reason Amanda is 27, I'm 23, her other daughter is 25, and Jenn is 21.
Melanie Walsh: I must admit, I'm slightly confused.
Amanda Clockworkx: And why my other daughter, Veronica, is blood related to both myself and Jenn.
Rayne Daise: Oh hang on, Mel, it's quite a ride.
Amanda Clockworkx: I'm actually not from this place or this time. I actually started living my life in a time after this one and left it in the year 2132 ending up in October 2015.
Melanie Walsh: Wow, that is quite a history you have. It must have been so hard.
Amanda Clockworkx: I'm also a genetics scientist and that's where my daughters come in. To fight a war, I engineered someone to fight relentlessly, but was also intelligent. I had the intelligence, and had an assistant pull the DNA of an ancient Egyptian warrior. Ancient even to this time. From that combination came Phage who after being calmed down and reconditioned is Aimee you see with us now.
Aimee smiles while looking around.
Amanda Clockworkx: So, after that, I found out that to win the war, we instead needed someone who could negotiate, so we needed intelligence and the ability to manipulate. Once again we had the intelligence part and the best manipulator found was Jenn Drew who calls herself the Puppet Mistress because of how well she can manipulate people.
Melanie Walsh: Wow, you must be so proud of your daughter.
Amanda Clockworkx: I'm proud of both my daughters and love them both.
Aimee Hathor: We won too.
Melanie Walsh: I can see the pride in your eyes. It's very evident.
Amanda Clockworkx: Yes now to get the DNA from me and Jenn, I was in a weakened state from Aimee's creation, so I had to rest before my DNA was stable enough. I actually accidentally came here and met Jenn, fell for her and everything. I lost my memory of my past life in 2132, but I recently regained that memory. Another reason I split with Jenn and why we are a group now.
Melanie Walsh: Wow, that is an amazing journey you've gone through.
Amanda Clockworkx: Anyway my assistant when going to get Jenn's DNA saw me and got mine as well. I then knew we had a daughter together and was told by my assistant that she was fully grown and nearby so we, Jenn and I, located her and reunited.
Rayne Daise: That's not the part where I come in though.
Aimee Hathor: I told Rayne, but not Amanda about this part.
Amanda Clockworkx: Do I want to know?
Mel just smiles as she looks at Aimee
Melanie Walsh: Go ahead.
Aimee Hathor: We have a friend named Val who was one of Amanda's other assistants. She told me the DNA in Veronica was not purely 50/50. It was 45/45. The other 10% belongs to Rayne Daise.
Rayne Daise: So, Veronica is technically the daughter of Amanda, Jenn, and me.
Amanda Clockworkx: WHAT?!
Melanie's eyes go wide in shock as well
Melanie Walsh: This is huge. Amanda, what's going through your mind?
Amanda Clockworkx: I.. I really don't know what to think.. but I do know that Veronica needs to be with the Triad and not hanging around Jenn like she has been. 2/3 of her mothers are in this group along with her half-sister.
Rayne Daise: While Amanda was in the hospital in Las Vegas, I visited Jenn in her hotel. Things got going and she and I fooled around and somehow some of my DNA got onto the strand of hair used for Veronica's creation.
Amanda Clockworkx: No wonder she never was affectionate with me after I came to in the hospital. We drifted away after that and now this all makes perfect sense. Oh, I am glad I'm in a match with her at the next show. I have a whole other motivation to defeat her in the ring.
Rayne Daise: I'm sorry that happened, Amanda.
Amanda Clockworkx: I'm not. If it wasn't with you, it would have been with someone else down the road.
Melanie Walsh: Well, thank you for being so open with me today and sitting down with me. I can confidently say this is the most unique interview I've ever done
Amanda Clockworkx: Ok, thank you and unique is not even the surface.
Aimee Hathor: Thank you too, Melanie. Do you have a phone number I could have?
Aimee winks.
Rayne Daise: Real graceful, Aimee...
Melanie Walsh: I'm very easy to get a hold of. I'll pass it along after the interview to all of you in case you need to get a hold of me.
Aimee smiles.
Amanda Clockworkx: Thank you and I guess I need resume my training now that I'm more motivated than before.
Amanda storms out as the scene fades to black.
