So, Megan and I were talking, and we thought maybe a word limit would be something you guys may be interested in, So, here we have a poll. We can of course keep no limit, and here's some options for consideration. If you have any others, feel free to reply with them too.
Shock of all shocks, I honestly like word limits...not that I have ever been in a fed with one, but I was considering looking. I don't think my rps are long without reason, but I know they are long because I love character development...but we have a CD board for that...and I have my freaking website now.

Never been a fan of word limits, which may come off as hypocritical considering a whole section of my own fed is micro, but that's just how it is. Some people like them and perform better with them, some need the freedom to go until they think they've accomplished their writing goal. Length isn't a full or even half-measure of quality but there are times when the extra length helps set a scene or give a proper perspective. That's my opinion.

My personal opinion is it should be no word limit. Here is why. Many efeds I have been in have tried this and failed. It not only holds someone back from wanting to really write a good roleplay. There is times that I have moments of writing big roleplays and then times I don't. Word limits hinder someone's ability to really face the opponent(s) challenge rp wise head on.
Let's say suzy wrote a really good roleplay. her opponent bobbie jo would in her mind go"OH i need to step up my game and really top that and give it my all"
word limits would prevent that therefore bobbie jo wouldnt be able to step up her game because she would be forced into a limit and it wouldnt make the match worth writing for the ones who are doing the results.
i have seen this go down very nasty in feds, to the point that i was in one that literally closed down because the owners got into a knocked down drag out arguement over this very thing. thing is i dont personally like being limited. i want to be able to have the ability to go big or go small without taking away my creative flow. this is seriously something to chew on for everyone here at what i just said. do you truly want word limits holding you back from really soaring and giving the writers and owners here something to read when their deciding who going to win. my goal is to write an rp that will get someone envisioning whats going on as they read and feel that roleplay. anyways thats how i feel about it
