The beach just outside of Katalina's home where Candi, in a white skirted two piece, constantly chases and then is chased by the waves laughing as she does. Up on the patio sits Katalina Star underneath of a massive umbrella clutching a small photo in her hands while to her right Ruby, one of her more recent acquisitions (and writer of Ruby Reviews on Kat's blog. Wink wink) sits in the chair to her Mistress' right polishing Kat's boots. Know what you're gonna say; that's Candi's job! Well, this is Candi's day off and this is how she spends it.
Katalina: Sometimes I envy that girl...
Ruby: Mistress?
The redhead inquires having not heard any of Kat's words. Though seeing the domina eyeing down at the platinum blond has Ruby somewhat understanding.
Katalina: So carefree, she doesn't understand the full troubles of the world. I don't mean troubles of the world, because I'll admit to not fully understanding them myself, but just close by.
Ruby: Have people been questioning your motives again, Mistress?
Kat waits a bit just to watch Candi a little more before finally shaking her head focusing over to Ruby.
Katalina: No, love, just whenever I see her like this I tend to wonder how things would have been had I not run away from home those years ago. Where would I be now? What would I be? Would I be as carefree?
Ruby: If Mistress wishes, I can provide a few answers.
Having not expected that, Kat rests back in her chair letting Ruby go on.
Ruby: I think it's pointless to think of how one's life could have been. You are where you are. Maybe not for a reason, maybe just a set of random events put you there. But you can't be everywhere doing everything at once so it's pointless to think about where you would have been. M-Mistress. Sorry, I may have gotten a little carried away there.
Katalina: Quite alright, love.
Kat says reaching out patting a hand against Ruby's arm a couple times.
Katalina: But you're right, these aren't things I should be worried about. Plenty more I should be thinking about. Things that should definitely not get out.
Kat looks down at the photo taken quite a long while ago of two dark haired girls standing next to a Christmas tree.
Katalina: From my mind or their cages.
We open up inside of Katalina's Dungeon, of course, where Candi kneels off to the side holding a folded leather leash in between her lips watching back over at her Mistress as she lounges back in her office chair. There's certainly no loss of superiority in the expression of the domina as she smirks down to her pet lion, probably amused by how Candi's face has been painted to resemble that of a cat to match the ears overtop of her head, before fixing her attention on the camera.
Katalina: Stacy,
Kat begins with a little laugh under her breath.
Katalina: So, you have the momentum going into this tournament, do you? Why, love? Because you won a battle royal?
Leaning her head back, Kat lets out a simplistic single “Ha!” before turning back to the camera.
Katalina: For starters, let's take you back two shows ago. What was it, Abigail and myself against Estrella and yourself? I believe it was, and I believe that match ended...a little something...like this.
Kat says as she slowly raises up her arm in victory giving her fingers a flick upward in flare.
Katalina: Now, that certainly doesn't discredit your momentum alone, but it does bring challenge to it. Because, as I'm sure you know, I wasn't involved in that battle royal. Was I, love? No, no I wasn't. So, not only did you not avenge your loss against me personally, but I still went ahead and won my own match. So, if anyone has the momentum, it would be...yours truly. The rightful heir to the LAW throne.
Certainly another way of putting it. Though, judging by Kat's raised index finger, we're not done yet with Stacy.
Katalina: And now let's talk respect. Because your opponent is La Estrella, correct? A woman whom you gushed over and, in return, received some gushing yourself. Yes, Estrella, when you were being pinned in that tag match I mentioned earlier...where was Stacy? Busy with me...or did she realize something important? Because, as you may recall, this was around the time we found out our opponents and even if she didn't know...wouldn't she benefit from you taking the fall? I mean, if it had to be one of you...
Except the other option is that Stacy or Estrella pin/sumbit Kat or Abby. But Kat's certainly not bringing that up.
Katalina: So where was she? Don't forget, the two of you were the finalists in that battle royal. Now, for someone who has been nothing but respectful toward yourself she was certainly quick to end things, wasn't she? No fair fight in the ring, no may the better woman win, just...a kick to the face and you're out.
Kat shrugs as Candi just lies down in her spot realizing it's gonna be a while before their walk.
Katalina: So what does all of this tell you? Well, for one it says that despite her friendly demeanor, Stacy is a very naughty, naughty girl. Someone who's willing to cast aside her own friends for her own selfish gain. Now, I know you might throw this all back at me and say that I'm no better. But at least when Katie wasn't bitching about who I brought in we fought watching over one another's backs. Stacy, apparently, just has a very different philosophy. What else does it tell you? That you need to forget the honor, forget the pleasantries, and just fight Stacy as she would you. So now, have fun, you two.
Blowing out a kiss toward the camera, Kat gives a tiny wave with her fingers before resetting herself in her seat getting a reaction out of Candi...until she realizes that the Naughty Girl is only just beginning.
Katalina: The next match I'd like to spend a minute or two on is certainly shaping up to be one of the more...competitive matches in the opening round of this tournament. Unlike Stacy and Estrella, there's certainly been no cover ups or lies about respect. Although,
Kat snickers a little.
Katalina: I do feel partially responsible for the hatred between the two. Just a tiny part. Just the part where I suggested to Kenzi, some months ago, that she simply find someone she could easily manipulate into becoming the sort of tag team partner she needed. Enter Kate.
Why you gotta join the Kate hate train?
Katalina: I don't know what Kenzi did to make you see things her way, though I can maybe guess from how I worked Katie over and given the discussions I've had with my close friend.
No more pictures. Think that last one is still in its controversial phase.
Katalina: But now you're just trying to re find your way out in the world.
Kat pauses a moment as her eyes light up.
Katalina: You're like Pinocchio! A female rendition of the story, of course. With Kenzi staring as the puppet maker wishing for a real partner. You came to life and now, after cutting your strings, you're hoping to become a real girl. Well, good for you, love. Fly! Fly out and find your way!
Kat sounds fairly enthused by the way she says that as she even makes the gesture for Kate to fly off.
Katalina: And yes, I do mean for you to fly away from this tournament because I'm afraid this won't be your night, love. Such a shame too. Perhaps you are better off these days with strings. Although, as for Sarah...
Her tone shifts to that of a parent telling their child they know it's their muddy footprints on the floor.
Katalina: You haven't said very much about me but you've still said quite a bit. Kenzi in the finals? Really? I hold no disbelief that you hold the abilities to make it there, love, but Kenzi? Now,
Kat pauses trying not to get too far ahead of herself with this.
Katalina: I could go for the obvious and say the generic lines of “I'll be the one in the finals” or “I'll see to it Kenzi doesn't make it there” or what have you. I mean, they're there but I'd much rather focus my attention a little elsewhere to the perhaps even more obvious.
After taking a deep breath, Kat continues.
Katalina: Is this just favoritism talking? It is, isn't it? Because in a tournament of former champions, unknowns, and...apparent momentum holders, you chose the one that if a “Where's Kenzi?” book were published her animated form would most likely be found nestled between your thighs. Do you...believe her skills are capable of accomplishing the task of meeting you in the finals? Because that battle royal would certainly differ on that. As would a fair chunk of her career.
Me-owth.
Katalina: So here's a little tid bit of information for you, sweet pea, don't say things that you know are just going to piss...let's say...a dominatrix off. Someone who's already set on taking pleasure in making you scream to begin with. Don't make me feel like I have to do it. Otherwise, you're no different than my alarm clock and I love the little Mickey Mouse arms pointing all around. I still hit it and I barely even know you.
Such a friendly smile she gives too.
Katalina: And then there's Gabby and Abby.
Kat pauses clicking her tongue.
Katalina: Was there really a draw? Or were certain names put aside? Because judging by these matches, it certainly feels determined. Ah well.
Right, just carry on, Kat.
Katalina: I'll be honest, of everyone in this tournament these are the two I know the least about. So forgive any lack of communication toward them. I do try and be fair but, at the same time, I must be honest.
Fair enough.
Katalina: But from what I can understand...both are about the most neutral in competitors we have in this tournament. I really mean it. While others are busy making efforts in making things personal...Sarah,
Kat uses the tone of a disappointed mother, but at the same time there's a bit of cheerleader in there. Like she's upset but she's also secretly waving Sarah's flag.
Katalina: And, to be honest, it's quite smart. I mean, it's good not to get so caught up in the drama of others and just focus on what you're after. I mean, really, what point is there in trying to think about Stacy abandoning her wife for a Japanese tour leaving her home alone with so many little ones, not to mention her own career. Or Kate's sudden departure from the grander scene of things only to become a bickering mess with those that hold no key to her career. There's no point in getting caught up in any of that.
Kat says before giving a couple claps.
Katalina: So kudos, girls, certainly fight hard in this tournament. It isn't as though you could do worse than last year...
BOOM!!! Mic drop. Wait, no, there's still one more.
Katalina: Which, of course, brings me right down to my coming opponent...Kenzi. Someone whom I've shared multiple flirts with, even though according to your rules, technically, Kenzi, you really should have been punished for those. But hopefully you're just saving those up for a rainy day.
With a wink Kat lets out a joyous laugh.
Katalina: That's basically our relationship. Flirty friends but we'd never go anywhere with it. Except with certain plans we have in store for our match. Isn't that right, love? Don't worry, love, I'll keep it from Sarah that they were your idea.
Ideas? I wanna know! Oh wait, I do.
Katalina: You've been a constant source of entertainment for myself, and at times certainly a necessary evil. I'm just saying that for the Jami's and the Farrah's out there, you're alright with me, love. You've helped my close friend, Claire, find employment with the CTN. Even if it was for a single role in a horror movie.
Despite the pleasantry of it, Kat still came off a bit dismissive toward the end there. Perhaps horror isn't her genre.
Katalina: And you've even taken an interest in some of my...more controversial pieces of art. Because of that,
She stops a moment to let out a low moan.
Katalina: It's going to be a pleasure hearing you scream. Twisting and bending your body to unnatural positions. Never going for that ligament tearing pop, just enough to keep the agony going. The delicious agony that will run throughout your body. Up your legs, down your arms, mm, around your torso. Maybe even over that elegant neck of yours.
Nice, she wants to hear her friend scream.
Katalina: Because, as you know, I have a reputation to uphold and I've no interest in bringing friendships into the ring. I didn't go easy on my wife, I didn't go easy on my other friends...why should you be any different? Actually, as a little aside,
Kat smirks.
Katalina: Just a little memo to my darling wife before her match. Dynasty might be tough, but just go for Kayla's bottom and you'll do fine.
Probably not the best idea at this juncture, but...it's worked before.
Katalina: Getting back on track now.
She stills needs a moment to clear her throat a bit though.
Katalina: After all, this is the quarter finals in the Queen of the Ring tournament, not some random exhibition. So none of that “may the best woman win”,
Kat shakes it off with her hand.
Katalina: Of course, I hope you feel the same way. This is a world title shot we're talking about. Something earned from skill, not out of necessity. Stacy wants to talk about momentum, what more momentum is there when you've dominated the entire roster? I mean, I've certainly dominated one division before,
Kat playfully smirks as she gives a simple shrug.
Katalina: Who's to say I can't do it again in a single night?
Now blowing out a kiss, Kat gives a wave as the scene fades. Now Candi can have her walk. Hopefully.
Katalina: Sometimes I envy that girl...
Ruby: Mistress?
The redhead inquires having not heard any of Kat's words. Though seeing the domina eyeing down at the platinum blond has Ruby somewhat understanding.
