October 21st, 2017
The scene opens up in the beautiful St. Louis home of Kris & Abigail Preston. Abby comes out of the upstairs bathroom with a brush in her hand and a towel wrapped around her head. Heading down the stairs she finds her husband in the living room, sitting on the couch and sneering at the TV across from him. She glances at the TV and chuckles lightly before sitting down next to him.
"Do you really need to see the highlights? You already made me watch it with you."
"I just can't get over it. I don't know why it surprises me, though. Of course, we let them score last second, we gave them four fucking chances with penalty after penalty."
Abby nods slightly, not caring too much about it herself, but knows Kris and his family does.
"Yea, I'm sure it stung."
Kris nods as Abby removes the towel and begins brushing her hair.
"But let's talk about a sport that really matters to both of us."
Kris looks over at Abby as she stops brushing a moment and chuckles as she grabs the remote and turns off the TV.
"Sorry, didn't mean to be so blunt... but I just been wanting to know, how'd it go? Did you get a new job?"
Kris sighs and shrugs slightly.
"Still looking for the right place, babe."
"I thought you were going to join Christy, except on the opposite brand?"
Kris nods.
"I had my contract ready to go, just needed to sign it... then she told me that she quit."
"Wait, what?"
Kris chuckles at Abby's legit surprise before he just shrugs.
"Sick of getting jerked around, as she put it."
"Wow, that's very surprising coming from her... but if that's how she really feels, I guess I can't blame her. Regardless, why is that stopping you?"
Kris cocks an eyebrow.
"I mean you always said you didn't want to live in her or her brother's shadows. Granted sticking with the family name isn't a good way to accomplish that by the way."
"Well my first name didn't really work out, now did it?"
"The name was fine, it was the gimmick that was silly."
"True."
"Point is, why does it matter if she's there or not?"
"Because like you said, I'm not being drug either direction by the family name... not up... or in this case... not down. Whether her feelings are true or not are irrelevant... I'm not taking the chance of being drug down for her actions."
Abby nods slightly as she continues to brush her hair once more.
"I guess."
"Don't worry babe, I'll figure it out. Don't you have your own match to worry about, tomorrow night?"
Abby gives a brief nod.
"Yea, finally some more action as me and Maya get another tag match."
"A little vacation wouldn't have killed you."
"What are you talking about? I wasn't on the last show."
"You have worked out every single day, not a single bit of you time... or more importantly, we time... now you gotta fly back out tomorrow morning."
Abby chuckles and shrugs.
"It's who I am... and who you married. I took a year off, remember? I'll take another complete vacation... when I retire."
Kris chuckles and shakes his head.
"Whatever you say, babe."
He leans over and gives her a kiss before standing up.
"I'm going to take me a shower now... then maybe you can join me in bed and get a little more time while we can."
Kris gives Abby a wink as she chuckles and shakes her head. Kris walks up the stairs while Abby is still brushing her hair. Noticing her camcorder laying on the coffee table in front of her she smirks laying her brush down beside it.
"As good a time as any."
Turing the camcorder over so that it is sitting up and pointing at her. She adjusts her hair one last time before turning it on.
"Hello to all the All-Stars of the World. I know it's been a few weeks since you seen me, but here I am."
She smiles slightly before giving a brief nod.
"Yea, I know, I could of at least made an appearance on the last show despite not being booked. I just really had no reason to, though, if I'm honest. I have no investments in this company... other than to compete. That's all I care about, competing... I don't need to come in and make useless promos to put myself over... which is all I would have been doing, because like I said, I have no investments... I have no arch rivals right now, so what else would I have done? Just came in and make some stupid promo to put me over and make sure you people didn't forget about me."
Abby gives a slight shake of her head before resting her right hand under her chin.
"That's just not me. I am only here to compete... nothing more... nothing less. Take your drama elsewhere. That notwithstanding, speaking of not being me. I feel like I need to apologize for my last outing. I really don't know what came over me. My mentor finally rubbed off on me a little I guess. She's the one that can be the... well you know. Not me. I realize what I said wasn't even really that bad, not in comparison to things she has said... but I still regret it, even if people did seem to enjoy it... I'm no sell out."
"But whatever, what's done is done... what's more important is that even, though I did not attend LAW #70... I did watch it. Including watching our opponents pick up a win. Good for them. I do know a bit about Angelica and Ashley. Not a lot, I admit. I mean I know Angelica failed to beat Tolsen at the Queen of the Ring. I'm not dogging, why can I talk when I lost that night too? I'm just stating what I know, relax. Just like I know Ashley was a big hit in her previous company before it shut down. I know cause my mentor tried to recruit her after it closed, but she had already signed here... She snoozed, so she lost."
Abby chuckles and shakes her head.
"To be serious, I know you guys are talented... even if you are part of the Cool Kids, or at least Angelica is. I don't exactly care for that group, but from what I know and what I saw, you both certainly have boatloads of more talent than the member I last stepped into the ring with. Yea, don't let the result fool you... she's total trash."
"Whoops, there I go again. Sorry, but she is... I actually mean that. I hope for better from you two. Thing is, other than your allegiance to that piece of trash, I could respect you ladies... you have talent... but then, that was before I discovered the Tag Team Name you actually go by."

The scene has rippled back to the past where Abby stands backstage in a locker room. It's not her locker room, but someone else. Who's is soon made clear as Christy Chaos walks through the door holding the EWE Women's Championship. Abby smirks and gives a nod.
"Congrats."
"Thanks..."
"No seriously... you beat Kelsi to retain... and now you hold the record. The record no one ever thought would be broken."
"Yea, thanks. I didn't even think I could do it myself at first."
"Really?"
"Well I mean, yea I said I would right after I won it... but I wasn't serious. I was just being confident. Who exactly, with common sense... can legit plan to hold onto a title for a solid Year? We want to, but do we truly expect to? Especially in a company with weekly shows and monthly Pay Per Views."
Abby nods, seeing her point.
"Fair enough. So you broke the unbreakable record, and never thought you would, that's even more impressive."
"Well no, not the entire time. Just those first two times I said it was it like that. About 3 months ago is when realization set in, that it was legit within reach... it's been a true goal ever since. Now it comes to an end at the Queen of the Ring where I relinquish the title to the winner of Kelsi vs Lita."
Abby nods again.
"Yea, I heard the announcement."
"But enough about that, I asked you to be here tonight for a reason. Queen of the Ring is a big night for you too. I did it Abby."
Abby cocks an eyebrow.
"Did what?"
"Got you your very first match, it'll be at the Queen of the Ring."
"Wow, that's great. I can't wait."
Christy smiles and nods.
"Yes, but I have to warn you... it won't be easy. You're facing Trish."
"Interesting, she's built a legacy in two different companies."
Christy nods.
"Well yea, that too... but I more meant, you gotta be careful. You know she doesn't travel alone or win matches on her own these days."
"Yea, I'm aware."
"Pussy tactics aside... I can't get over their name. How unoriginal can they be?"
"Yea, well... if I have my way... Trish will only be the first member to fall to the Addiction."
"That's what I like to hear.... R.I.P. Queens of Wrestling."
October 21st, 2017
Returning back to the present Abby is sitting on her couch with a look of disdain on her face.
"Queens of Wrestling... really girls? You really couldn't come up with a more original name than that? I mean nevermind the fact I have swept the nWo sized faction in another company in singles competition... that isn't the same one, I'm aware. The fact is, it wasn't original when they coined that name, it certainly isn't any more original 6 years later."
"It's just a name, though, right? At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you call yourselves if you have the talent to get the job done in the ring. That is true, but what I'm getting at. If you can't take five minutes to come up with a better name... why would I believe you take the time to do your proper research on what exactly you are up against?"
She brushes her bangs out of her face before wiping her finger over her nose.
"People may think that is overstressed sometimes, but really... it can't be stressed enough. I'm not saying you need to know every detail to verbally slam your opponent into the ground... but you should at least learn how they fight... learn their weaknesses and their flaws, to expose them. Trust me, it's gotten me by my entire career... I don't verbally expose you... I don't rip you into the dirt like 95% of the other people in this business... I only focus where it matters, in the ring. I may not verbally dissect you emotionally, but I will certainly do it in the ring because it is what I have done my entire career. It is what I have always been taught to do."
"So go ahead, say what you want about me... I haven't watched, I won't watch. I don't need to know what you say, I only need to know what you will do. Right now, you have nothing on us. Me and Maya, we have only had one match together, correct... and we won... the same people you beat last time, so nothing to brag about from either of us. Not a shot at the Sugay's, more, how can we brag about beating a team you beat, and Vise Versa?"
She gives a brief shrug.
"I have not been there... you have not heard from me, but I been ready ladies. I watched you last week before I even knew I would be facing you. I have kept myself in shape this entire time, I know that means nothing to you, big deal, right? I guess we'll find out soon enough. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you call yourselves... it doesn't matter what talent you have. We have just as much, if not more... we have the desire to win. We are going to make you all bare witness to who we really are. So come ready, ladies... be prepared... bring everything you've got... or fall in the process."
"Cause whether it's EWE or it's LAW... A so Called Queen of Wrestling... Never Has... and NEVER will... Beat The Addiction."
Abby reaches over and turns the camcorder off before standing up and heading upstairs to join her husband. This RolePlay is not Rated R, though... so sorry, it ends here.
