SCENE 1 (02/23/18) : Nashville Tennessee
It was not a good night for Elizabeth at Rising Stars two thousand eighteen. She went to the ring to fight for the Chaos title and Roxy blew over the top of her. Every move she tried to use, Roxy easily countered. She shrugged her off the Seeing Red with ease and even powered out of her Sleep Paralysis. She never even saw Roxy’s Double-D DT or heard the three count that followed it. For now she has rolled out of the ring and is heading up the ramp with her head down. "Paparazzi" by Lady Gaga is playing overhead as Roxy is celebrating her win in the ring. The fans are booing Liz, telling her that she doesn’t belong. She holds back the tears, refusing to let the fans see how hard she is taking this crushing loss. She goes through the curtain and heads down the hall, ignoring the other LAW superstars who snicker at her. She finally finds the locker room and walks inside, storming over to a bench and sitting down.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
I don’t understand what happened out there. I did everything just like I was taught and got slaughtered. What did I do wrong Annie?
She looks up to see Annie stuffing all her stuff into her bag. Elizabeth stands up, looking confused.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
We are leaving already? I guess that’s best, put this horrible night behind me.
{Annie Fugate}
WE are not going anywhere. I”M leaving.
Elizabeth turns her head slightly, confused as to what Annie is saying.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
We only have the one rental car and the hotel is a ways away. How am I supposed to get back there? I understand you want to train me but….
{Annie Fugate}
There is no more training. You are useless Elizabeth and I’m tired of wasting my time on you. Pack up your crap and go back to Rapid City. The only thing you are good at is waiting tables.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
You can’t abandon me Annie. We are friends. I need you.
{Annie Fugate}
We aren't friends. I just needed you to help me dispose of the Frost Elite but you are nowhere near good enough. It’s no wonder Mizore forgot about you. Someone as pathetic as you is easily forgotten. Goodbye loser.
Elizabeth shakes her head, tears forming in her eyes. She is at a loss for words as Annie tosses her bag over her shoulder and heads for the door. She stops at the door and Elizabeth gets a bit of hope, taking a step forward.
{Annie Fugate}
One more thing.
Annie turns and superkicks Elizabeth. Elizabeth suddenly shoots up out of bed into a sitting position. The hotel room is dark, the only light coming from the window. She rubs her eyes sleepily. It was just a bad dream. She reaches onto the table and grabs her cell phone, pushing the button on the side. Rising Stars is still a day away. And it is three in the morning, much too early to be awake. She turns her phone off and sets it back down on the table. She lays back in bed, glancing over at the other bed to see Annie sleeping soundly. Luckily her jumping out of bed from that dream didn’t wake Annie up. She might be a heavy sleeper but she can be super cranky when she is woke up. Elizabeth stares up at the ceiling hoping soon she will be able to fall back asleep. But soon a smile crosses her face. She slowly crawls out of bed tip toeing around Annie’s bed until she gets to Annie’s bag. She slowly unzips it, keeping her eyes on the sleeping form of Annie. She gets the bag open and pulls out the HSW Women’s title. She clutches it close to her chest and sneaks into the bathroom, shutting the door quietly. She turns on the light and faces herself in the mirror, tossing the Women’s title over her shoulder, causing her to sway slightly.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
I always forget how heavy this thing is. I wonder if the Chaos title is this heavy.
Elizabeth takes the title off her shoulder and holds it over her head. A big smile crosses her face.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
The winner of the match and….NEW Chaos champion! The Nightmare Elizabeth Blackwell.
Elizabeth mocks the crowd cheering for her although she doubts they’d actually cheer her. They might a little since they don’t seem to like Roxy at all. She puts the title against her waist, looking down at it.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
Fasten my title around my waist Annie, I have earned it!
{Annie Fugate}
I don’t think so “champ”.
Elizabeth lets out a squeal, jumping back from the now open door where Annie is standing. Annie can’t help but to hide a small smile that crossed her face when Elizabeth jumped. Her smile fades as she holds her hand out. Elizabeth slowly folds the straps under the belt and hands it back to Annie.
{Annie Fugate}
You want to know how it feels to hold a title, you just have to win tomorrow night. But for now, you need to get some sleep. Go to bed.
Annie backs out of the doorway and points to the bed. Elizabeth sticks her tongue out at Annie and walks past her, climbing back into bed as Annie closes the bathroom door behind her. Elizabeth rolls onto her back, looking up at the ceiling with a smile. Less than twenty four hours away until she either wins the Chaos title or damn near dies trying.
SCENE 2 (02/25/18) : Undisclosed
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
What does it take to be a champion? Apparently, everything I’m not according to Roxy.
The scene is only darkness, not a shred of light filling the scene. Elizabeth’s voice is breaking through the darkness.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
What does it take to be a champion? Apparently, everything I’m not according to Roxy.
The scene is only darkness, not a shred of light filling the scene. Elizabeth’s voice is breaking through the darkness.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
I don’t have fancy clothes that cost thousands of dollars. I had to rent a dress to wear to prom. I don’t really care much for jewelry. My hair is rarely neat and combed. My fingernails are dirty and I’d honestly be more content in pajamas than even my pants and shirt I usually wear. But something confuses me Roxy. I don’t see what looking the part has to do with anything. Whether you look like a rich bitch or a homeless hobo, the title goes home with the person who wins the match. So after I beat you, at least you will still have your looks. Well, unless I decide to rearrange your face a bit. But I have something to prove to you Roxy. I can fit the part just like you.
The lights in the room come on and reveal Elizabeth who is wearing a nice red dress that matches her hair which is laid out long down her back. She has on high heels and even her nails seem to be newly manicured. She gives the camera a little turn, the hem of her dress spinning out with her
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
Is this good for you Roxy? If I dressed like this all the time, would you think I was a better candidate to be the champion? If instead of truck stops and cheap motels I frequented spas and five star motels. Would I be deserving in your eyes then Roxy? All I have to do to get your respect is to be just like you. To be…..FAKE!
Elizabeth grabs the collar of the dress and rips it off of her. Underneath she has on the red tank top. She also has on her black pants with the red flames on the bottom. They pants legs were rolled up high so it couldn’t be seen when she had on the dress. She picks up the small black vest and slides it on as she talks.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
You see Roxy, women like you are an illusion. You fake everything. You might say you are all caviar and champagne but deep down inside, I know you are french fries and soda pop. But you keep up this little facade because you think that’s what people want to see. You think that is what people want to see. You claim that you have brought pride back to the Chaos title. But just look at the name Roxy. Chaos. Do you know what Chaos means? It means complete disorder and confusion. You talking about how prim and proper you are proves that you aren’t a worthy champion. A worthy Chaos champion is a women who doesn’t mind getting dirty. Who doesn’t mind bleeding if need be. I’m the walkin definition of Chaos. And I’ll be the one who truly brings back to the title what it has been missing. Pure Chaos.
Elizabeth runs her fingers through her hair, messing it up before shaking her head wildly, causing strains to stick out from every angle. She looks at the camera with a smirk
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
But not only did you claim I wasn’t championship material, you tried to cheapen me standing toe to toe with you by saying you underestimated me. You thought I was more lucky than good. And you are right about one thing, I’m not as good as Annie. She reminds me of that pretty much anytime we train together. But I keep getting better. And before you get any silly ideas, Annie would tear you apart without even a second thought. I’d give her a month and she’d have that title of yours around her waist. But you better not even think about concerning yourself with her. You are dealing with me at Rising Stars. And I’m just a little bit wiser than I was on Law two weeks ago. No count outs this time Roxy. No cheap escape for you. Just pinned clean in the middle of the ring as you show the world that you are a fake champion to go along with everything else you fake. I wonder if Vinnie knows how much you like to fake things.
Elizabeth pretends to ponder this for a moment, more just letting the comment sink in. She looks back into the camera.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
What tickles me the most Roxy is that you really think I gained nothing on Law two weeks ago. That because as you claimed I couldn’t beat you at your weakest that I have no chance now. I’m starting to wonder if you aren’t a rookie yourself. I gained a lot during that match. I didn’t beat you. You didn’t beat me. But don’t you realize how much more it means that you didn’t beat me. You are the “Chaos” champion. Even at your worst, you should have easily beaten me. I’d only had two matches before I faced you. You should have schooled me. But you didn't. You forced a count out to protect yourself. And more importantly than all that, I learned much more about you first hand then I even could watching your matches. First hand experience Roxy. How much did you learn about me? More importantly than that, how much do you THINK you learned. Because I’m still learning myself. I might have a whole new strategy in place for you now. And remember, Seeing Red can come out of nowhere. Three seconds are all that separate who leaves the champion and who goes home a loser.
Elizabeth holds up three fingers to the camera. She chuckles lightly as she drops her hand back to her side.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
I am glad that you are taking this match seriously. That you are no longer seeing me as a cartoon or a joke. Because despite who my trainer is, I ant to beat you at your best Roxy. If I leave the match with your title, I want to feel like you gave me everything you had to prevent it. I want to feel like I earned the first championship in my career. But most importantly, I want to see the fear in your eyes. I want to see the panic as everything you hit me with just makes me come at you harder. I want to see you sweat as I stare through the blood with no sign of remorse or backing down. And I want to see the hope dim from your eyes as I walk off with the Chaos title. A true Chaotic champion. Rising Stars is not going to be your night Roxy. You may have beat Sam and Kate to win the title two times Roxy but you have never successfully defended the title. Annie told me that it was so much easier to win the title than it is to retain it. Guess you are living proof of that. I hope Vinnie brings you flowers and alcohol to make you feel better after your crushing defeat. Welcome to being a former champion again. And of course...
The lights flicker as Elizabeth is now standing full faced in the camera.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
Welcome to your nightmare.
The lights go out, bathing the scene in darkness once again
SCENE 3 (02/25/18) : Nashville Tennessee
The butterflies have started setting in for Elizabeth. She is sitting in the locker room, ready for her match. She has on her black pants with the flames and the red tube top shirt. Her black vest lays on the bench next to her. She is taking deep breaths as she watches Annie pace in front of her. Annie has on her old wrestling clothes of the black pants with stars on them and a crescent moon in the top corner. She is wearing a black shirt with her name on it and the HSW women’s title.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
I wish you’d sit down. Your pacing isn’t helping very much.
{Annie Fugate}
I still can’t believe that little west coast hippie actually thinks she can beat me. I got a Stroke of Midnight that says she’d lose faster than all the loser guys who watch this program lose their stuff spanking it to the LAW divas.
Elizabeth thinks about this for a moment before she makes a disgusted face.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
Really, I didn't need that mental image. I’ve seen some of the guys sitting in the stands. Can’t we talk about something else. Like what kind of cake I should eat to celebrate my title win.
{Annie Fugate}
So what do you do if she goes for her Kitty Buster.
Elizabeth sighs heavily.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
I either put my foot up catching her in the crotch or I move out of the way so she will hit the turnbuckle.
{Annie Fugate}
Very good. And what about her DTF.
Elizabeth rolls her eyes, really not wanting to go through this for the millionth time this close to the match.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
It’s not much different then Monica’s Snowbound. Just have to roll to my back and try and keep her off my legs. Same for her little Camel toe clutch. Really Annie we’ve been through this already.
{Annie Fugate}
Last one. What about her Double-D DT.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
Suplex her out of it or drop to the mat and roll away. This is a lot to think about Annie, can’t I just go out there and do what I feel like I need to do to win.
{Annie Fugate}
Go out there and give it your best. I believe in you that you can win.
Elizabeth actually smiles at Annie.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
Do you really mean it? That means a lot to me to hear you say that.
{Annie Fugate}
That’s what you need to hear anyways. Did she really say she could beat me?
Elizabeth sighs heavily and falls to her side, laying on the bench.
{Elizabeth Blackwell}
If you want to prove yourself against her so bad just sign the contract. Aren’t you ready to get back in the ring yet?
{Annie Fugate}
All in good time Lizzy. It’s all about you right now, I wouldn’t dream of stepping on your toes. All kidding aside, go out there and win this. I am proud of you. You’ve come a long way from that lonely little red head that showed up on my doorstep a few months ago with nothing but revenge on her mind and a fresh diploma from the Chaos Wrestling All Stars. Tonight you will be a champion. Just like me.
Elizabeth is off the bench like a shot and embracing Annie in a hug. Annie hugs her back a second before lightly pushing her away.
{Annie Fugate}
Enough of that. Time to get serious. You know Roxy is prepared, time for you to get prepared.
The door to the room opens and a random ring crew member pokes her head in.
{Ring Worker}
Five minutes Miss Blackwell.
Elizabeth nods and picks up her vest, sliding it over her shoulders. She locks eyes with Annie for a moment who finally gives her a small nod. Elizabeth returns the nod and heads out of the ring, heading down the hall toward the entryway to the ring. It is finally time to do or die.
