NEW YORK CITY – NEW YORK | In the wake of the apparent demise of ‘Carmen’s Corner’ LAW suffered yet another loss. Fans of ‘The Rap Up!’ were left angry and dismayed over the suspension of the popular show when it’s host, Maleek Raheem made the announcement on Twitter. The former host went on to say that he intended to focus more of his efforts on promotion, branding, and star development.
Raheem will be well suited for this new endeavor, having managed and branded previous CTN talent and multi-time world champions such as Eva Rodriguez, Serena Royale, and Nicky Silver. His most recent promotions have involved photo shoots for CTN Insider Magazine and merchandising for some of LAWs biggest stars, such as Evie Taylor, Sidney Grey and Gabby Camacho.
Raheem’s success will be gauged on how well he does with his latest client, Nyako Shinsuzki. He has already pushed the Asian star onto the cover of CTN Insider Magazine and it’s popular Centerfold section, revamping her image as she makes her push towards championship gold. Standing in her way is none other than the current Marquee Champion, Gabby Camacho. Gabby’s ‘Army Strong Workout’ DVDs have sold thousands of copies and continues to outpace other workout DVDs in sales and popularity.
Rumors have also swirled around Raheem taking a more active part in managing. As a co-founder of The A-Listers, he managed the stable to several notable championship victories during their brief run. With the stable apparently making a comeback in LAW, it remains unclear if he’ll take the reigns once more to guide Crystal Hilton and Nicky Silver to the top of the mountain once again.
