NEW YORK CITY – NEW YORK | Earlier this week several members of the LAW super group United Sisters of Asia were detained under suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm to a semi-professional Mixed Martial Arts fighter. A police report, obtained by CTN stated that on February 7, 2015 John Michael Kreese (28) of Soho, New York suffered numerous bodily injuries after he was placed in a dumpster and pushed down an incline. The dumpster crashed into a wall and several parked vehicles, resulting in severe injuries that left Kreese in a coma.
LAW star ‘Oni’ Kymiku Shinsuzuki was reportedly in a relationship with Kreese, and was identified as a subject of interest by investigators. On February 8, 2015 Shinsuzuki was detained by police during the live broadcast of LAW #22, emanating from Chicago, Illinois. Shinsuzuki, who had just advanced to the finals of the LAW Championship Tournament, was questioned and then later released after another person of interest was identified.
Shinsuzuki’s Business Manager, ‘SoLo’ Song Xu Lo was briefly questioned in connection with the incident before police received a full confession from a third member of USA, ‘Uzai’ Ito Kazama. Kazama, who serves as the groups flag bearer. Charges were officially filed on Saturday.
While the loss of Kazama should have no affect on the matches at Rising Stars, it is sure to be on the minds of Shinsuzki and fans of USA on Sunday during the finals of the LAW Title Tournament.
