As many people know, Jamilyn M. Cornett was completely knocked out by Alexis Blake during a scuffle between Blake and Kenzi Grey during the early moments of LAW 49. She was taken to Tulane Medical Center in downtown New Orleans and, per orders from LAW GM Megan Helms-King, will be kept under observation for at least the next 48 hours to make sure there are no lasting repercussions from this incident. Helms-King has also instructed that, at the risk of fines and/or suspensions, neither Grey nor Blake are allowed near Tulane during JMC's stay, citing previous head injuries JMC has suffered since her contract signing a month ago, largely centered around the two rivals, as well as concerns for public safety given the events of the last few LAW shows whenever the two have been in the same vicinity.
Etienne "Twain" Valmont, JMC's brother, has been spotted at TMC with her and issued a statement through the Cornetts' family lawyer, Levethix "Drake" Askari, saying, "The fact that my sister's health has been consistently at risk between these two toddlers is ridiculous. I will give Grey credit for at least checking on Jami in the chaos that followed, but none of this had to happen if those two could control their tempers." He added that LAW officials "...have been very professional about making sure Jami's health checks out. I don't think my sister could have signed on for a better company at this point.
There is no word yet on what consequences, if any, Blake will face for her actions; this is apparently not the first time she's struck JMC in recent weeks.
Updates will be posted as we receive them.
