From the Desk of Lucas Dupree:
It has come to my attention, and the attention of many, and is most distressing to hear, about the events that have taken place regarding LAW talent. Specifically, Jamilyn Cornett, and Mackenzie Grey. LAW General Manager Megan Helms-King, and Head of Security Roxi Johnson have come under scrutiny, and accusations from several camps, along with several instances on social media of conduct unbecoming of the talent of LAW.
First and foremost, We've several wrestlers going rouge for lack of a better term on social media, ranting and raving and throwing the company under the bus. It's got to stop. And it's going to, otherwise, there will be terminations. Save your hostility for the ring, and save your bitter remarks for private conversations.
Secondly, this is a wrestling company, not a dating service. There are couples here, and that's perfectly fine, but the fact that Ms. Grey, and Ms. Cornett continue to try and form relationships and be increasingly promiscuous is appalling and completely over the line. This kind of activity needs to be halted at once, at not only are these wrestlers reputations taking a massive hit, it has adversely effected LAW's public image.
Contrary to ANY rumor or report, the drug test was administered, because Ms. Cornett admitted to possible recent use of a controlled substance. This statement was taken seriously and actions were taken to ensure the safety of LAW talent and personnel. Once all the drug tests were completed, and no one was found to have any illegal or non-prescribed substances, the matter was dropped. In no way does this relate to any scrutiny facing either Ms. Cornett, or Ms. Grey.
However, A line is clearly needed here.
LAW is WRESTLING-centric, not relationship-centric. That should be secondary to your careers as wrestlers. This is not high school, You are, of the age to work and wrestle, and therefore ADULTS. I suggest the the few who continue petty high school antics, mature rather quickly, or you will find yourselves terminated. The LAW general manager, and head of security respectively, are to be adheared to. The focus of this company should not be who is sleeping with who, and who's trying to sleep with who and why, The focus is WRESTLING it takes place, is a 18x18 ring.
If any more absurd legalities and potential lawsuits are threatened, they will be treated as serious, and legal action will be taken on behalf of the company. The random drugs tests will continue, much like any other sports-entertainment company. No one is being fired without just cause. All terminations come through my desk.
I do not intend to institute any sort of dictatorship in terms of surpression of expression, but I will not have this company turn into a zoo. Ms. Helms-King, and Ms. Johnson have full authority to do what they see fit, Ms. Helms-King from a talent relations standpoint, and Ms. Johnson from a security standpoint.
Enough is enough.
I suggest you all take this as guide, not a threat. Understand, that all LAW talent represent the company, on LAW television, and on social media. If you have legitimate issue you would like addressed, you can set up a meeting, discuss the issues in private, but going out and going into business for yourselves will not be tolerated.
To those on you conducting yourselves properly, carry on. To those who are not, This is going to be the only time it will be said. Get your priorities in order.
