{A black screen. After some time, We get the usual intro, then we get more LAW event highlights, and then Gabby Camacho, Mackenzie Roberts, The Naughty Girls, Orchid, and Sam Tolson holding up their respective titles. We cut from that to a live wide shot of the audience as they cheer wildly as "Fighter" by Christina Aguilera playings We go to Troy, Skye, and Duke, already sitting down.}
{The door to Lucas Dupree’s office opened and Kenzi Grey walked in along side a figure in a hooded robe, flanked by two hulking men in black uniforms. Lucas raises an eyebrow at the odd sight as he sit back, folding well-muscled arms.}
Lucas Dupree: Ms. Grey…and I presume that is Ms. Lacklan underneath that hood? The same Ms. Lacklan that the General Manager banned from the arena, in the absence of a contract with this company?
{Gina walks in, ready to remove her from the building as she pulls back her cowl to reveal the bright white face and red eyes of the Blood Princess. She considered the LAW owner with an arch of her own eyebrow before speaking in a haughty voice with a British accent.}
Sarah Selena Lacklan: I am, the same; but today I am representing Ms. Grey as her attorney. Correct me if I am mistaken, you *DID* inform her to have representation present, even after she repeatedly insisted that she did not require it?
{Lucas made a tent with his hands then gestured for Gina to stand down.}
Lucas Dupree: The lawyer was supposed to be here to make sure that you didn’t do or say anything that would compel me to take additional action against you for your flagrant violation of the rules of this company!
Kenzi Grey: FUC…
Sarah Selena Lacklan: Beloved…please, a bit of decorum.
{Lucas turned to Sarah, clearly impressed by the control she seemed to exhibit over Kenzi.}
Lucas Dupree: Well…that was certainly something. I mean, I don’t know if you’re an actual attorney or not, but anyone who can do that has my attention.
{Kenzi’s faces reddened with anger, but Sarah remained cool, calm, and collected.}
Sarah Selena Lacklan: My Belov…my client, has found herself unfairly targeted by the General Manger of this company and we would like you to put an end to it, Mr. Dupree.
Lucas Dupree: Ms. Lacklan, Kenzi is a habitual rule breaker here in this company. If she put as much time and effort into the ring as she put into finding loop holes, she’d have been LAW Champion months ago!
{Kenzi folded her own arms defiantly.}
Kenzi Grey: Is that so you motherfu…
Sarah Selena Lacklan: BELOVED!
{Kenzi quieted and Sarah continued.}
Sarah Selena Lacklan: Mr. Dupree, Ms. Grey has been consistently targeted by Ms. King. Promised opportunity on more than one occasion…but was denied repeatedly despite performing at the highest levels.
Kenzi Grey: YOU DAMN RIGHT! I BEAT KEIRA FISHER, A TWO-TIME BREAKOUT CHAMPION!
Sarah Selena Lacklan: No opportunity…completely unfair!
Kenzi Grey: KEIRA GOT A LAW TITLE MATCH AND I GOT NOTHING!
Sarah Selena Lacklan:No opportunity…completely unfair!
Kenzi Grey: I BEAT THE LONGEST REIGNING MARQUEE CHAMPION IN HISTORY!
Sarah Selena Lacklan: No opportunity…completely unfair!
Kenzi Grey: I HAVE BEATEN A WOMAN WHO WAS CHAMPION OF EVERY DIVISION IN THIS COMPANY!
Sarah Selena Lacklan: No opportunity…completely unfair!
{Lucas sighs, growing tired of this farce already.}
Lucas Dupree: Ms. Grey, you were a champion in this company and you are now…by some miracle…one-half of the number one contenders to the Tag Team Titles! You weren’t HANDED that, you earned it, but your actions at LAW #59 almost put that in jeopardy! The GM was well within her rights to put you and your partner on probation and Levey a stipulation for your upcoming championship match.
{Kenzi pounded her fist on his desk.}
Kenzi Grey: SHE PUT ME IN A 1 VS. 5 HANDICAP MATCH!!
{Sarah put her hand on Kenzi’s arm to calm her. She kept her demeanor calm as she eyed the LAW owner.}
Sarah Selena Lacklan: Mr. Dupree, even you must admit that the punishment does not fit the supposed crime in this situation. At LAW #59, my Beloved…client…was only complying with the desires of her opponent. Ms. Millar said she wanted a one on one or a tag team match, so she got the best of both! To punish Ms. Grey with thousands of dollars in fines, probation, stipulations on a number one contenders match weeks away, a handicap match tonight…and by far the most egregious miscarriage…banning ME from LAW! Sir, this is not fair or what the fans want. We urge you to take action to save the reputation of LAW and remove Ms. King from power.
{Lucas drummed his fingers on his desk as he listened to Sarah and eyed Kenzi.}
Lucas Dupree: Ms. Lacklan, I understand that you're here to plead the case for your girlfriend tonight, but it's just simply not in the cards. I asked Ms. Grey to bring and actual lawyer, and you aren't a lawyer. Ms. Grey beat Mrs. Fisher thanks to a reverse decision, after she had already lost. She had an abysmal win/loss record, and fluke victories do not earn championship matches. If I recall correctly, Ms. Grey then injured a dog on live television, faked multiple injuries, and has driven potential signees away with her nonsense. And that was all last year. I could bring up countless other completely fireable offenses she has committed, but I'll save those for when Ms Grey gets actual legal representation as I'm sure she may want one to discuss possible jail time for her actions. Until that actually happens, and an actual lawyer is here, please don't waste my time with your complaints. I'm sure you can see yourselves out. As a matter of fact... Gina?
{Kenzi looks like she's going to explode as Sarah has to hold her back as Gina escorts them both away.}
{The women stand in the ring, staring each other down. As soon as the bell rings, Mitzusaka Etsuko and Courtney Leinart charge at each other. They lock-up. Courtney traps Etsuko in a side headlock. Etsuko throws elbows into Leinart’s gut and breaks the hold. Etsuko snatches Leinart by the neck, puts her down with a snapmare, and after coming off the ropes and gaining speed, toe kicks Leinart directly in the spine. Leinart clutches her back and rolls over to her hands and knees. The Oni of the Lady jumps and comes down on Leinart’s back with a double foot stomp. Etsuko goes for the cover. Leinart kicks out at two.
Etsuko Mitzusaka lifts Courtney Leinart to her feet and whips her into the corner, her back slamming into the post. Mitzusaka sets up in the opposite corner, takes off running, and aims her whole body directly at Leinart. Leinart quickly, and smartly, rolls out of the corner. Etsuko slams into the corner at full speed. Leinart capitalizes and rolls up Etsuko from behind. Etsuko gets out at two.
Leinart and Etsuko separate from each other and the staring contest begins again. Then they suddenly take off running at each other. Leinart ducks under the clothesline from Etsuko, spins around, and hits a surprised Etsuko with a dropkick. Somehow, Etsuko is able to spin back to her feet and runs at Leinart. Leinart slides to the side, catches Etsuko by the arm, and brings her down with an armdrag. Again, Etsuko leaps to her feet and Leinart is ready. Leinart catches her, picks her up, and puts her down hard with a body slam. She hooks the leg. Etsuko kicks out at two.
The Queen drags The Oni of the Red Lady to her feet and sets her off into the ropes. Etsuko returns and gets a sudden kick to the gut, causing her to hunch over. Leinart sets up for the swinging neckbreaker and plants Etsuko head first into the mat. She goes for the cover. Etsuko gets the shoulder up at two. A frustrated Courtney Leinart lifts Etsuko Mitzusaka to her feet. Etsuko throws a right hand that connects with Leinart’s gut. Then another. Then another. Then she starts laying right hands into Leinart’s face. Etsuko pushes Leinart into the ropes, sends her flying into the next ropes. When Leinart returns, Etsuko catches her, spins her around, slams her over her knee with a spinning backbreaker. Leinart falls to the mat, prone, holding her back.
Wasting no time, Etsuko starts stomping and kicking Leinart’s lower back. Etsuko lifts Leinart to her feet, throws her into the ropes, catches her, and bam, down with a sidewalk slam. Etsuko stands, looks at the crowd, and takes control of Leinart’s arms. Then comes the Mitzusaka Bunny Hop. Etsuko hooks the leg and gets the three count.}
{Tolson and Winters tie up. The larger Winters gets control, slides in behind for the waist-lock and suddenly sends Tolson flying with a release German Suplex. Tolson sits up, confused. Kayla Winters flexes and tries to lift Sam Tolson up by the head. Tolson fights back, hitting her in the gut with a few swinging fists, and pushes her into the corner. Tolson pins her there and performs a series of chops and slaps to Winters’ chest. At the ten count, Tolson pulls Winters’ out and attempts to send her into the opposite corner. Winters reverses, sending Tolson into the corner instead. Winters runs and crushes Tolson with a huge splash. Winters is quick to start an assault of shoulders to her gut and then pull Tolson out of the corner. She lifts her up, deadlifts her, and throws her away with fallaway slam.
Kayla Winters spins to her feet. She reaches down to lift Tolson. Tolson pulls Winters down and lays in some forearms to her face. Tolson tries for a body scissors and gets them hooked. Winters is able to stand even Tolson hanging off her. Winters puts Tolson down hard with huge spinebuster. She hooks both legs and gets the three.}
{As Kenzi Grey heads to the ring for her match against Dazi Reed, she rounds the corner and runs into Karyn Jekyll; the same woman that she and Kate Steele had attacked and put out of Rising Stars weeks before. Karyn stepped up to Kenzi, eyeing her up and down.}
Karyn Jekyll: Grey…I told you that we weren’t done yet! You can Steele caused me to miss out on my very first pay-per-view here in LAW, and I can’t just sit back and let that slide!
Kenzi backed up, getting herself ready for a fight.
Kenzi Grey: So…you looking to jump me before my handicap match? Did MHK put you up to this to make sure that I don’t win tonight?!
Karyn Jekyll: Slow your roll! I’m not a coward or a savage! I’m not going to attack you outside the ring like you and your partner did to me! No, from what I hear, Zoey Madigan is still on her honeymoon, so that means that the Boardwalk Angels are going to be shorthanded tonight. I’m gonna be out there to take her place and keep an eye on you!
Kenzi Grey: You mean go out there and try to screw me!
Karyn Jekyll: You’re paranoid Grey. I’ll see you out there!
{As soon as Karyn turned her back, Kenzi charged at her, but Karyn was ready, turning back and catching the star with a forearm that knocked her back. Karyn started to go after Kenzi, but Kate Steele ran in and speared Karyn to the floor. Kate and Kenzi descended on her like a pair of jackals, stomping and punching her. Both women stopped the assault as Jessika Hyde appeared. Kate and Kenzi were ready for her as well, but she stood back with a maniacal grin on her face.}
Jessika Hyde: Don’t mind me; the bees want to see!
{Kenzi and Kate looked at one another, shrugged and renewed their attack. Kate locked in her “Shipwrecked” triangle choke as Kenzi applied a Sharpshooter to her as well, contorting her body horribly in their “Broken Chord” signature move. Karyn screamed as her sister danced around screaming hysterically as well.
Staffers ran over to help, but they refused to let her go until Gina and several other members of Security appeared to pull them away. Kenzi laughed as she backed away from the scene flipping the injured woman off.}
Kenzi Grey: OH! Looks like someone won’t be coming out to my match after all!
{EMTs rushed over to help Karyn as she held her back, still screaming in pain from the vicious assault; her oddball sister rocking back and forth in the corner with a gleeful look on her face.}
{Backstage at the McCamish Pavilion, a familiar sight gets the Atlanta fans to screaming: that of the Boardwalk Angels. Though Zoey is not present owing to her recent wedding and honeymoon, Farrah Martell and Courtney Steele are definitely in the house. Farrah, her half of the LAW Tag Team Championships over her shoulder, is on the phone with someone while Courtney ambles along at her side, throwing out a few waves and greetings as the Angels are passing through.}
Farrah Martell: ...everything's under control over here. Yeah, the saga continues.
{Laughing out loud at her own comment, Farrah continues on with Courtney around the corner, heading for the locker room area. The conversation turns serious after they avert direction.}
Farrah Martell: But getting to the point, what do you think about that matter we discussed at the reception? You know... the pledge. She seems pretty eager to be a part of things but I can't help but wonder if it's all some ploy.
{Courtney opens the door to the locker room, slipping in. She pokes her head back out after a moment.}
Courtney Steele: Tell 'er I said hey?
Farrah Martell: Heh... you heard that, right?
{Leaning on the wall, Farrah listens to the person on the other end, presumably Zoey, for a minute before responding again. She does so quietly.}
Farrah Martell: That's what I figured you'd say. I'll keep a close eye on things. If I even get a sniff of a plot I'm going to lay these girls out for good. Yeah. No, I'll call you once we're done here. You keep enjoying your honeymoon. Yes, I'll call you later.
{Hanging up, Farrah tucks the phone in her jacket pocket and hitches the title up on her shoulder a little bit. Lost in thought briefly, she smirks after a second or two and slips into the locker room, closing the door behind her.}
{As soon as the bell rang Kenzi ran out of the ring, attempting to escape by jumping the guardrail, but Farrah caught her and threw her back into the ring, where Dazi double legged her to the ground and began unloading with right hands, causing Kenzi to cover up. Crystal eventually had to pull Dazi off of Kenzi, even warning her about closed fists. Dazi shrugged it off and started stomping Kenzi on the mat, and Kenzi rolled out of the ring to collect herself. Farrah was right there ensure Kenzi did not try to run away and Dazi chased Kenzi around until Kenzi rolled into the ring and caught Dazi coming in and stomped her a few times to keep her down. Kenzi then whipped Dazi into the ring and ducked her head for a back drop, but Dazi simply slammed Kenzi’s head into the mat. She covered, and Kenzi managed to kick out at two.
Dazi was taking her time, enjoying beating down on Kenzi, but Kenzi managed to fight back with a rake of the eyes. Farrah and Courtney largely objected and Crystal read Kenzi the riot act before Kenzi hit a textbook suplex and covered, but Dazi kicked out at 2. Kenzi slapped on a rear chin lock hoping to wear down Dazi, who fought back up and out of the hold and floored Kenzi with a dropkick. Kenzi again fled the ring and the Boardwalk Angels again stopped her from leaving. Farrah tossed Kenzi back inside and Dazi nailed Kenzi with a spinning heel kick, but Kenzi managed to get a foot on the ropes. Kenzi clung to the ropes as Dazi got up and stomped her, Crystal eventually stepping in and forcing Dazi back. Kenzi used this to her advantage and used leverage to ram Dazi into the corner. Kenzi then threw Dazi into the corner and climbed up to deliver the 10 punches in the corner, but Dazi managed to counter and drop Kenzi face-first into the turnbuckle. Dazi got up and charged, but Kenzi moved aside and then rolled up Dazi, with her feet on the ropes, and Farrah would have none of it, throwing Kenzi off the pin. Sapphire, Dazi’s manager also protested. Kenzi took a swipe at Sapphire and then Dazi mowed her down with a clothesline and called for the end. Sapphire jumped up onto the apron and the Boardwalk Angels tried to get her down as Dazi picked up Kenzi for the Blue Flame [Michinoku Driver] but Kenzi squirmed out and pushed Dazi into Sapphire, sending her off onto the Boardwalk Angles on the floor! Kenzi then managed to hit Dazi with Kate Steele’s Punk Driver, and then covered her as Crystal begrudgingly made the 3 count.
Kenzi celebrated her win, but only for a few seconds before Crystal and the Boardwalk Angels chased her away.}
{Gabby Camacho is shown backstage warming up, shadow boxing for a few seconds before turning to the camera.}
Gabby: Tonight, is the first step to reclaiming what’s mine. Mackenzie Roberts has earned this, but I’m about to burst her bubble, and then I’m going to deflate the massive head Amy Jo Smyth got from Rising Stars. I started this fight, and I’m going to finish it. Please believe it.
{Gabby goes back to shadow boxing as the camera fades.}
{The Two started with a lock up, and Orchid quickly took a side headlock, then switched to a hammerlock, before quickly going to a knee and tripping Mel to the ground and applying a headlock on the mat. Mel quickly fought up and shoved Orchid away. The two circled and locked up again and this time Mel took the side headlock. Orchid quickly backed her into the ropes and shoved her off and on the rebound, Mel took Orchid down with a shoulder block. Mel hit the ropes again and Orchid leapfrogged her on the rebound, only to get caught up a back elbow then sent her through the ropes to the floor. Mel simply waited patiently for Orchid to re-enter, as Orchid nodded and did so.
The two locked up again and Orchid again took the side headlock. Mel quickly backed her into the ropes and shoved her off. Orchid rebounded and ducked a Mel clothesline. Orchid rebounded again and Mel went for a hiptoss, but Orchid blocked, nailed Mel in the mid-section, and the flipped backwards and attempted her own hiptoss, but Mel blocked that. Orchid then went for a roundhouse kick but Mel caught her foot, spun her around and connected with a big clothesline to send Orchid down. Mel picked up Orchid and tossed her into the corner before following her in, but Orchid moved and Mel collided with the turnbuckle. Orchid unleashed a flurry of kicks and punches that caused Mel to cover up in the corner and causes her to slump down and roll from the ring. Orchid and Mel make eye contact as Mel slowly re-entered the ring.
Orchid and Mel then began to trade punches with Mel getting the better, leaning Orchid into the ropes and whipping her in, but Orchid reversed and locked in a sleeper. Mel slowly went to the mat, and the crowd got into it, and Mel elbowed her way out, hit the ropes for momentum, but Orchid caught her with a roundhouse kick to the face. She covered, but Mel managed to kick out.
Orchid then went for the Orchid Drop, but Mel countered and hit a dropkick to send Orchid to the mat. Orchid popped up and Mel fired away with right hands, and then a lightning quick DDT, but only for a two count. Orchid crawled to the ropes but Mel was right there with a hip attack on Orchid, following it up with a leaping elbow drop, before positioning Orchid and climbing the ropes, looking for the Ragnarok [Shooting Star Senton] But Orchid moved out of the way, quickly hit Mel with the Orchid Drop, and earned a close victory.}
{The bell sounds and Kate instantly looked for a single leg and Amirai is able to side step it. Kate smirked as she attempted it again and Amirai was able to move aside again. The two finally locked up and Amirai took Kate over with a side headlock. Kate then pulled Amirai into a headscissors but Amirai kipped up to escape. The two locked up again and Amirai took the side headlock in a standing position this time, and Kate backed her into the ropes, shoving her off and Amirai bowled over Kate with a shoulder block. Amirai hit the ropes again and Kate stayed on the mat and Amirai jumped over her. Kate spring up and attempted a dropkick but Reilley held onto the ropes and Kate splatted the canvas. Reilley then hit a spinning heel kick that took Kate to the floor! Kate regrouped on the floor for a few seconds as Reilley waited patiently for Kate to re-enter. Kate did so, charging and running into a hip toss, then a dropkick that put her right back on the floor. She got into an argument with the fans which led to Reilley cannonballing off the apron onto her! Reilley returned to the ring and took a bow to the cheers of the fans.
Kate finally managed to regroup and re-enter the ring. She locked up with Amirai again and Amirai got a hammerlock on, and Kate roll through, grabbing the ankle of Amirai and attempting an ankle lock, but Amirai managed to roll out herself and then take a charging Kate over with another hip toss. Kate got up and called the ref over to complain about a hair pull, much to the crowds boos. Amirai pleaded her case, and that allowed Kate to get in a cheap shot and then begin working the back of the neck of the champion, trying to set her up for her submission, Shipwrecked. Kate hit some clubbing blows to the back and then a neckbreaker. She covered by Reilley was able to kick out. Kate then latched on a neck crank, again trying to soften up the champion. Reilley fought back up and escaped with three elbows to the midsection, but when she tried to hit the ropes, Kate yanked her back by the hair to the mat! The ref scolded Kate about this, who feigned ignorance, and then covered again, but Reilley again kicked out.
Kate then snapmared Reilley to the canvas, and drove several knees into her back and spine, before cranking on another reverse chinlock. Kate encouraged Amirai to give up, but she of course did not, fighting back up and when Kate jumped on her back to keep the hold on, Amirai charged backwards and smashed Kate into the corner. Amirai then charged and clotheslined Kate in the corner and then put her on the turnbuckle in a seated position. Kate managed to kick Amirai away and tried for the Silence Is Golden, but Amirai rushed under and Kate front flipped, but landed on her feet! She turned and got blasted with a European uppercut, right into a hurricanrana into a pin, but Kate somehow kicked out before 3!
Reilley then attempted to go for the Absolute, but Kate quickly scrambled to the ropes, and completely out of the ring. Reilley attempted pursuit, but Kate cut her down off the apron. Kate rolled back into the ring and felt her jaw, which was rocked by the uppercut. Kate got up and then hit her wrap around DDT, but Amirai managed to kick out anyway!
Kate once again scaled the ropes, looking for the Silence is Golden, but Crystal Miller sprinted down to ringside, and the ref stopped her from interfering. Kate took the time to trash talk Crystal, motioning for her to get into the ring, and forget all about Amirai. Kate then turned back into Amirai, and got caught with the Blood Diamond [Facebreaker DDT] and the ref slid back in and counted the three.}
{“Shoot to Thrill” by Halestorm hits and the lights lower.}
Duke King: Oh, God. What does she want?
Troy Franklin: She has a vested interest in this match.
Duke King: Doesn’t mean she’s gotta be here…
Skye Sparks: Is this not what she’d do?
{The crowd explodes as Amy Jo Smyth steps out onto the ramp. She wears an Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets t-shirt, an Atlanta Falcons cap, and of course, the L.A.W. title on her shoulder.}
Troy Franklin: The hometown girl has arrived and these fans are loving every minute of it. Smyth is an Georgia Tech alumni.
Skye Sparks: That explains so much.
{Smyth makes her way down to the ring, fist bumping fans as she goes along. A fan holds up a Yellow Jackets flag and as Smyth passes, she fist-bumps the man and takes the gold flag from him. After locking the title around her waist, the L.A.W. Champion and Georgia Alumnus circles the ring, holding up the flag, smiling proudly. She finally steps into the ring and stands in the center of the ring, holding up the flag and the title at the same time. Her music fades but another song takes over - one sung by the fans, bringing AJ to a surprised standstill.}
Skye Sparks: What the bloody hell is this?
Duke King: Oh, shut up…
{Smyth jumps up onto the turnbuckle listens and starts to sing along.}
Oh, well, it's up with the white and gold,
Down with the red and black,
Georgia Tech is up for a victory.
We'll drop the battle-axe on Georgia's head,
When we meet her, our team is sure to beat her.
Down on the farm there will be no sound,
'Till our bow-wows rip through the air.
When the battle is over Georgia's team will be found
With the Yellow Jackets swarming round! Hey!
Hey!
{Smyth starts laughing, jumps off the turnbuckle, and asks for a microphone.}
Duke King: ThanK God that’s over.
Troy Franklin: It’s the Georgia Tech fight song. That’s something.
Duke King: Oh, yes, eight thousand drunken Southerners singing any song is something, that’s for sure..
Skye Sparks: Something awful.
{Amy Jo Smyth waits for the crowd to quiet down, draping the flag over her shoulders.}
AJS: Thank you for that. It’s wonderful to be home, back in the place that helped make become who I am today. It’s a pleasure to stand in front of my fellow Yellow Jackets. Sadly you won’t get to see me in action, but dang, I couldn’t not give you part of what you paid for tonight - your hometown girl and the L.A.W. Champion… Which is one in the same.
{She taps the title. The crowd cheers.}
Duke King: I think I’d much rather hear them sing again.
Skye Sparks: No, no. Please, God, no.
AJS: Did y’all know I made my L.A.W. debut in Atlanta? Some of y’all here tonight were probably there. And now I’ve returned as the L.A.W. Champion. Who woulda known? Probably all y’all. I did. That’s what Yellow Jackets do. They win. Up with the white and gold!
{The fans cheer as Smyth throws her fist into the air.}
AJS: Now, I know y’all love seeing my face and looking at the champion, but you also came here for some wrestling, so I’ll cut myself off. Not that you’re about to see good wrestling with this main event, but all y’all know, let’s give them half a chance. I expect that you’ll be nice about it. I’m asking, one Yellow Jacket to another… I know it’s gonna be kinda boring, but they’re trying. And whoever wins, try to clap for them, okay?
Skye Sparks: Did she?
Duke King: Yeah, she did.
Troy Franklin: Smyth getting in some barbs on the two women in our main event… The former L.A.W. Champion, the woman she defeated to take the title, and the former Marquee Champion, who just might want the L.A.W. Title.
Duke King: She’s not wrong, though.
Skye Sparks: She’s gonna get punched in the mouth she keeps that up.
{Smyth puffs out her chest and stiffens up her face.}
AJS: Right, Gabby? Thought I’d do this just to make sure you didn’t look like a complete asshole who can’t find a new shtick.
{The fans boo and Smyth laughs.}
Duke King: Damn.
Skye Sparks: She is going in.
Troy Franklin: That’s our champion.
{Smyth holds up the flag}
AJS: I’m keeping this, thanks. Buzz, buzz!
{The crowd answers with a long, loud vibrating buzzing sound like that of a wasp. She suddenly turns toward the announcers and smiles.}
AJS: Get ready for me, cause I’m coming over.
Duke King: Ah, no! No!
Troy Franklin: It would seem that Amy Jo Smyth is going to join us for the main event between Gabby Camacho and Mackenzie Roberts for number one contendership to the L.A.W. Title.
Skye Sparks: This could be interesting. If she goes in again…
{Smyth slides out of the ring and sits with the commentators.}
Troy Franklin: Hey there.
AJS: Howdy-howdy. Real quick, y’all got bottle service to these seats? I need a drink. It’s gonna get me through this snoozefest.
Duke King: I’m in.
{Gabby Camacho and Mackenzie Roberts have made their way into the ring, but not before each gave a good stare down to Smyth, which Smyth just answered with a smile and wave. The two women in the ring warm up as they wait for the bell. The bell finally rings and the two women dance around each other. The former champions fighting for a chance at a title once again finally lock up. Camacho slips out, slides through, gets behind Roberts, and traps Roberts in a rear naked choke. Roberts slams her fist into Camacho’s arm but it does nothing. Thinking quickly, Roberts pushes herself and in turn Camacho into the corner, and slams Camacho back first into the post. Camacho is forced to release and Roberts moves away. Camacho moves out and the two women meet up again with another lock-up.
Roberts wants none of that and kicks Camacho in the gut. She catches Camacho by the neck and plants her with a DDT. She stays down for the cover. It barely gets a two count. Roberts lifts Camacho to her feet but Camacho fights back right hands to Roberts’ face. She pushes Roberts into the ropes, throws her into the corner, and slams her into with a clothesline. Camacho is quick to pull Roberts out and hit a bulldog. That links into a seated side headlock. Roberts is able to get to her hands and knees. She lifts Camacho up by the waist and puts her down with a modified atomic drop type move. Camacho rolls away holding her tailbone and moves into the corner. Roberts steps up, catches Camacho, and puts her down with a sudden, out of nowhere belly to back suplex. She hooks the leg and gets a two count.
Camacho sits up. Roberts grabs Camacho by the neck, lifts her. Camacho counters with a snapmare. She follows that up with lifting Roberts up with a full nelson that floats into a bridging dragon suplex. It only gets a two count as Roberts flips out of it. Camacho gets to her feet quickly, kicking kicks Roberts in the head, and drags Roberts to her feet. Roberts fight out with some snap punches and kicks Camacho in the gut, forcing her back and creating space. Roberts attempts to retreat and leave the ring but she doesn’t get far enough before Camacho gets on her. Roberts finds herself trapped in between the ropes without an escape and Camacho repeatedly driving her knee into the former Marquee Champion’s face. As the referee calls Camacho off, Roberts is out, hanging limp over the middle rope. Camacho pulls her out and drags her to the middle of the ring. Camacho tries to wrap up Roberts’ legs but Roberts counters, rolling over her opponent, and landing on top of her. Roberts tries to attack with punches but Camacho throws her off.
Both women climb to her feet. Roberts get control, hooks Camacho, puts her down with a quick suplex. Camacho is down and out. Roberts leans through the ropes, starts trading barbs with Smyth. Camacho gets to her hands and knees and takes advantage of the distraction, quickly catching Roberts from behind and rolling her off. It gains a two count but Roberts is able to throw herself out strongly.
The women get to their feet quickly. Camacho springs forward, swings around, catches Robert by the waist, spins her around, and goes right into The Lowrider. It’s now Gabby Camacho’s turn to be distracted by the L.A.W. Champion sitting at Ringside. Smyth actually stands and the yells, threats, and insults grow louder and stronger. The Champion is actually drawn to ringside. Camacho finally grows tired of this, turns around, and puts her attention back in Roberts. She lifts Roberts to her feet, gets Roberts ready for the TKO. Roberts drives her elbow into Camacho’s head over and over again and wiggles free. She catches Camacho with The Crush, Crush, Crush out of nowhere.
Roberts hooks the leg and gets the three count.}
{Mackenzie Roberts jumps to her feet, has her arm raises, and quickly starts celebrating on the turnbuckles as her music plays. Roberts and Smyth start exchanging words. While up on the turnbuckle, Roberts starts motioning a title around her waist. Smyth answers with a laugh and then mocks her by pretending to be asleep. Roberts comes off the post, gets nearer to Smyth, trying to lure her into the ring. Smyth moves suddenly, pulls Roberts down by the foot, and drags her out of the ring.}
Troy Franklin: Here we go!
Duke King: Roberts is about to get her ass kicked.
Troy Franklin: I dunno about that…
{The L.A.W. Champion and the Number One Contender start exchanging punches. Smyth is able to get the upper hand and tries to whip Roberts into the ring steps. Roberts is able to counter and it is Smyth that is launched into to the steel steps. Roberts lifts the disorientated Smyth by the head and tosses her into the ring. Roberts searches around the outside and retrieves the L.A.W. Title. She holds it up in the air, points at it. Smyth is on her feet, reaches through the ropes, snatches Roberts by the hair, and with an angry scowl on her face, pulls Roberts into the ring by her hair. Smyth mounts and starts pounding into her head with fists. Roberts counters, rolls over, gets on top starts her own attack of punches.}
Skye Sparks: Oh, this is fun.
Duke King: I’ve never seen this much spunk from Roberts before.
Skye Sparks: I’ll say, this is bloody something.
Troy Franklin: When the L.A.W. Title is involved, anything and everything is possible.
{Gina slides into the ring, grabs Mackenzie Roberts, forcefully removes the woman from atop of Amy Jo Smyth. Referees and security lift Smyth to her feet and hold her her in place.}
Duke King: Aw, man, it was just getting good.
Skye Sparks: Bloody hell. Always ruining the fun.
{The women keep screaming at each other, fighting to break free, the L.A.W. Title laying on the mat in between them.}
Troy Franklin: There you have it. Mackenzie Roberts has won herself a chance at that title, to face off with that champion, Amy Jo Smyth.
Duke King: If they’re already this fired up, can you imagine…
Skype Sparks: These two are gonna tear each other apart and I think we should let them it right here and right now.
