Welcome to...
Hiya guys and gals!
This is Carmen Diaz, LAW's lead interviewer, and once again I bring you "Carmen's Corner". It’s been a hectic and chaotic week here in LAW, so it’s time to get to the news.
News and Updates:
The biggest news of the week, is the unfortunate concussion suffered by Marquee champion Violet. This injury was found to be almost career threatening, so the indefinite time table of Violet’s return to action has forced LAW management to strip Violet of the championship, as she will not be medically cleared for any title defenses.
The decision made by Lucas Dupree is as follows: “At LAW #10, there will be 8 wrestlers competing in a mini-tournament for the vacant Marquee title. There will be 4 singles matches and the winners will move on to LAW #11 in a Four Way Elimination match, to determine the new Marquee champion.”
So who will these 8 ladies be? Nothing is confirmed yet, but We will keep you posted and bring any information to you on twitter @lawefed
LAW has signed on Summer St. Clair and Priscilla Price. We will both of these ladies the best of luck during their time in LAW.
LAW has had to release Haruna Sakazaki, Mackenzie Vaughn, and Angel Kash for failing to meet booking obligations.
LAW's next ippv "Queen of the Ring" will be a one-night tournament, and the winner will face the LAW World champion, and the loser of the finals will face the Marquee champion.
LAW #8 Review
We had some really great things happening on LAW #9, featuring the return of LAW’s security, Roxi Johnson, and her now fiancée, Keira Fisher. It’s good to see people so happy.
We saw a couple of impressive debuts, first, with well-traveled veteran Jenny Tuck as she got a victory over Danica Jones. So it looks like Jenny has retained all of her skills and is going to be a force to be reckoned with.
The second debut was, with all due respect, Sidney Grey. I want to take this time and let Ms. Grey know that I meant no disrespect by calling her an “older” lady wrestler. I was merely trying to make mention of the fact that she has many years of experience. Moving on, she made short work of Angel Kash, and is in the eyes of many, a prime contender for any championship.
Moving on, without a doubt, one of the most impressive and remarkable stories in LAW is the rise of rookie wrestler, The Doc. Doc got her team to the finals of the LAW Tag team tournament, before coming up short against EMF. Since then, Doc has defeated Skye Sparks, and this week, pulled off another shocking upset of Crystal Hilton, thanks in small part of Sidney Grey, who seems to have some sort of past with Crystal. Who knows where that’s going to go?
Speaking of EMF, They faced Femme Fatale in a highly competitive tag match. EMF was able to pull out the victory, proving that they are no fluke as tag team champions. Who’s next for them? We’ll have to wait and see who steps up to challenge them.
And our main event champion vs. champion match certainly lived up to the hype when Violet took on LAW Champion Kate Steele. The two went back and forth in one of the most technically sound matches you’ll ever see, and in the end, Kate uses a slick reversal to get the pin. If that was indeed Violet’s last match, it was a heck of way to go out.
LAW #9 Preview:
After the news of Violet’s injury broke, the card was shuffled around, but rest assured, the action will be no less intense.
Ash Scion vs. Summer St. Clair
Ash missed her debut this week, so the pressure is on her to perform. Having seen her elsewhere, I know she can bring it, but she will have her hands full with Summer St. Clair who was placed on the show after Violet’s injury. Can Summer can advantage of this opportunity?
Gabby Camacho vs. Aphrodite
Gabby is also debuting this week. She’s only had a handful of matches, but she has been nothing short of impressive in those outings. But against Aphrodite, a woman with a proven track record her in LAW, Gabby will have a very difficult task of making her debut a successful one.
Keira Fisher vs. Crystal Hilton
Keira is back, and hopefully recovered from that Sin business a while back. And she could not have a tougher task then facing Crystal Hilton, coming off that somewhat embarrassing loss to The Doc last week. Is Crystal in a funk? And what role with Sidney Grey play? Will there be more explained between the two this week?
Sidney Grey vs. Cynthia Warren
Sidney Grey proved a lot of things last week. She quieted many critics, but some are still wondering, given the opponent last week was Angel Kash. Now Sidney moves on to Cynthia Warren, a woman who was almost a tag champion, and who has been in many high profile matches herself. This will be true test for both ladies.
Zelda Knite vs. The Doc
The Doc is currently shooting up the rankings ladder here in LAW, with impressive victories over both Skye Sparks and Crystal Hilton. But this is no doubt a step to the next level. Zelda Knite is widely regarded as one of the best female wrestlers in the world, and has the credentials to back it up. Will the Doc’s rise to the top continue or will be it “Game over?”
Closing:
Once again, thanks to everyone who made L.A.W #8 possible, and who keep us alive and growing.
Thanks goes out to our friends and affiliates: The WWO alliance, Sin City Wrestling, Boardwalk Wrestling, 4 Corners Wrestling, Uncensored Inc., Girl Power Wrestling, and Inferno Wrestling
And from Lucas and Nicole Dupree thank you's go out to all the female wrestling talent that have spread the word about L.A.W on social media, and those who follow us.
For the crew running L.A.W., I'm Carmen Diaz, and I'll see you here next time on Carmens Corner.[/quote]
