THE INFORMER INTERVIEW
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN - BREAKOUT CHAMPION
THE INFORMER: So Kenzi how does it feel to finally be a champion in Ladies All-Star Wrestling [LAW]?KENZI GREY-LACKLAN - BREAKOUT CHAMPION
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: Well, I have technically been a champion in LAW before. I was Chaos Champion last year, but I do get your meaning. My win at Night of Glory was one that I could finally be proud of. It came against 4 of the best that LAW had to offer, but I was the one to find a way to win it.
THE INFORMER: Considering your issues with Mildred [Milisandre Crowthorne] in the past...err, I mean Mili was there ever a time when you considered brutalizing her in the match?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: I think there were times when Mils and I actually did beat the holy hell out of each other. Mils is one hell of a great wrestler and she could have just as easily won it all last Sunday if fortune had favored her. I was just lucky enough to be in a position to win.
THE INFORMER: What kind of champion do you plan on being? A fighting champion? Or one who sits on there laurels and only defends when they have to?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: If you want a long title reign, sitting on your laurels is pretty darn nice! That being said, I gave Estuko a lot of crap about that, even though it was beyond her control. I owe it to her and the fans to do what I can to be a fighting champion.
THE INFORMER: Looking at the other champions in LAW do you see yourself as the top champion now?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: Great question! I think you have to see yourself as the top, regardless of what title you hold. Amy Jo Smyth saw herself as the top champ, and now Gabby Camacho probably does. That's all well and good, but now I see myself in that role and I am going to do my best to prove it!
THE INFORMER: Who do you want to face now that you are champion of LAW? any person in particular or you open to all challengers?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: That is wide open. Etsuko deserves a one on one rematch. So does Mils, Nova Sinclair, and even Maria Spencer. Those women all have a title opportunity next week, so I have to wait and see who steps forward. I have fought all comers before, and I'll do it again.
THE INFORMER: Lets talk about the Hit Girls. You ladies have not had a good first season. Are you discouraged by the lack of success this season?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: I wish we performed better during our first Lingerie Football League season, but at the end of the day, I am playing a game and having a blast! I am with my friends out there and we have the best time, win or lose. I think that is lost on other teams, but I feel blessed to be where I am.
THE INFORMER: Care to comment on any of the rumors pertaining to your team [Cincinnati Hit Girls]? Is AMC [Ashley Marie Chase really upset about the losses?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: Well, I saw the rumor that AMC wasn't happy, but I've never seen it in the locker room. She always seems very VERY happy looking at everyone there. I think that rumor is false. I know for a fact that since Melissa Aki joined, AMC has been nothing but a joy.
THE INFORMER: Does Angie Vaughn really have 7 inch lifts in her boots making her real height 5'2"?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: I don't think Angie has lifts in her shoes. I know that was a big rumor for a while and I actually put out a bounty for $5K for anyone with proof, but it looks like that myth is busted. Angie really is 5'9" or heck...maybe she is 8 feet tall now, after that last game.
THE INFORMER: Is Mili about to be suspended for creating the performance enhancing sport drink [Cthul-Aid]?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: I don't think that Mils has anything to do with the content of the energy drink, she just endorses it. That last flavor...milk...I am not too sure that one is going to be a very good one. She might need to get investigated for liking it.
THE INFORMER: Any truth to the rumor that Honey Sunshine is going to fight you next practice for opening her present to you before 12/25? Also have you paid out the $5000 for a picture of her honey pot yet?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: I certainly hope not! Hinny and I are the best of friends. Do you know that I scored the highest of anyone on the "Honey Sunshine Best Friend" quiz? She also caught the bouquet at my wedding and baked my wedding cake! There is no way that we EVER fight! The bounty is unclaimed.
THE INFORMER: Now that Sarah [Sarah Lacklan] has come back to you will you be having a holiday party to celebrate?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: We will be spending Christmas in Maine and all of my friends will be there. We will also be having a huge birthday party for her on the first! No need in keeping that a secret, she loves parties! Of course, the kind of party, I will keep to myself.
THE INFORMER: Any truth to the rumor earlier today that you and Sarah were already thinking of divorce over friendly comments you made about Honey? Is this a legit rumor or something started from you and Sarah's playful banter?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: Well, with her you never can tell. She is pretty serious about her dislike for Hinny, but I think I will get her turned by Christmas. Certainly by her birthday! I'm not planning on a divorce, but I am ready to fight her, if I have to!
THE INFORMER: Ok, Cass Baumer wanted me to ask you if you and Sarah were to divorce does Sarah get Milisandre in the divorce settlement?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: Well, technically, I think Mil is already taken by a man with tentacles on his face. Sarah and I have already drafted up the 'terms' of our 'divorce' and they don't involve Mil at all.
THE INFORMER: Before we end the interview for today is there anything you want to say to your fans and all those that have supported you on your rise to LAW Breakout champion?
KENZI GREY-LACKLAN: Quite a bit actually. I know that I haven't always been the easiest person to get behind, for a lot of reasons. I have said and done a lot of terrible things in my past. I have hurt people in ways that I can never make amends for...still a great many of you congratulated me. This has shown me that I am doing the right thing, and I am becoming the person that I always thought I could be, someone worthy of being called a champion in this business. No one helped me, no one gave me anything...only faith. I don't know if I will hold this title for a week, a month, or even a year, but no matter how long I do, I will always remember that it was belief in being something better that made this moment possible. If I can do this then anyone who believes in themselves can do great things. Thank you for giving me the time to say that. Especially to my wife...
