Malibu, California
Zoey’s Place
It was during the late hours of the night and Crystal as of late has had a hard time sleeping. Among that her wrestling career wasn’t going in the direction that she was hoping for it to go in. The losses came frequently and from the way she had snapped at Stacy on Twitter along with Eavan at the time who could have been her future sister in law she really hasn’t been herself. She didn’t want to get her girlfriend Seleana involved as all of this would be too much for her. She needed somebody she could chat with and the only one on her mind was Zoey. Crystal traveled all the way from Los Angeles to Malibu to see her. She stood outside her door as she pressed the doorbell. She waited passionately out the door as the tears were steadily streaming down her face.
Zoey had gotten the call not long after recording her piece for LAW #75 and it wasn’t hard to pick up on how upset Crystal was. The whys and wherefores meant jack to Zoey, who told her to come down to the beach house. When the door opened, the first thing she did was pull Crystal into a tight hug. In the same moment, grand scents took hold of Crystal’s senses. In true ‘Italian mama’ fashion, Zoey had got to cooking the moment she’d hung up and as she led Crystal into the dining room, she had a plate of homemade chicken parmesan sitting there waiting for her.
”Eat first, honey. Then we can talk. What would you like to drink?”
Crystal slowly made her way to the table and took a seat. Her face was an absolute mess between the tears and the running mascara. Crystal slowly dabbed at her face as she glanced back at her friend.
“Vodka… Lots and lots of Vodka. I definitely could use a drink…”
Crystal said in return as she started to make herself comfortable as she glanced back at her friend.
“You don’t mind if I spend the night tonight do you? I really could use a friend somebody that I could talk to. I rather keep Sel far from this as possible…”
”No, honey, I don’t mind.”
Luckily, there was indeed a bottle of Smirnoff in the freezer and Zoey fixed a glass of it for Crystal, putting it down by her.
”Just take it slowly with the drink, all right? I’ll go set up the guest room while you eat.”
Leaving Crystal with a smile and a reassuring pat on the shoulder, Zoey headed down the hall to tend to the spare room for her friend’s impromptu sleepover. Crystal however chased after Zoey making sure to grab the drink as she stood in front of her.
“Wait... I was hoping we could chat now… I know you are being a great host but I just need an ear…”
Crystal paused for a bit before she slowly speaks some more.
“I’m being BLACKMAILED!”
Crystal screams in return as more tears just flow down her face. She was hysterical as she tried her best to explain herself.
“It’s been hard to focus lately… I can’t even wrestle without the thought of something happening to my little girl. Before I met Sel shortly after I was divorced I was supposed to be Maria’s Maid of Honor. I tried to set up her Bachelorette party but her groom to be was there. He got me drunk we used to be a thing back in the day. One thing led to another and the two of us… Well….”
Crystal shook her head.
“It’s not my fault!”
Crystal started to cry some more.
“I didn’t know a simple mistake would turn my friend going mob boss on me! I didn’t know she would abduct my daughter and take it so personally. If I do say anything to the police she will make my daughter pay. I didn’t realize a rivalry between two feuding families from 13 years ago would come back to haunt me. I really don’t know what to do but I don’t want my Brittany to get hurt!”
That was quite a bit more than Zoey had expected to hear from her friend. She was quiet for several moments, trying to come up with something comforting to say or even an idea that might give Crystal something to go on, even if that something was a trace of hope. But… Zoey had nothing. And it hurt.
”I… don’t know what to say, Crys. Is there no one you can tell about this who might be able to help?”
Crystal sighed in return as she looked back at Zoey hugging her tightly.
“Not really… I did go to Brittany’s father but I may regret that. You don’t know Todd like I do… I just feel like guns are going to be involved and it’s not what I want. I don’t want my daughter to be hurt at all… I just want things to go back to how they were. I know that won’t be the case. I am one big fuck up, Z… I usually get the ones closest to me hurt whether it’s my daughter, a former friend like Maria, and I feel like Sel might be next…”
Crystal shakes her head as she looks back at Zoey.
“Maybe you, Farrah, and Stacy should all kick me to the curb so you don’t get hurt as well… You don’t need the plague around you girls…”
”Don’t you ever suggest that again, Crystal. I mean it.”
Cupping her chin, Zoey makes Hilton look her in the eyes, makes her stare into those two-tone golden pools.
”You’re our partner and our friend and we will not abandon you. I don’t care who’s involved. I’ll make a call to Farrah later this evening and see if she or James can figure out something. If not and you need a safe place to go, I’m certain one of us can see to that. All you have to do is keep calm and not do anything drastic. But we are NOT abandoning you. Is that clear?”
The magician-turned-wrestler keeps right on gazing into her friend’s eyes, wanting to make bloody well sure that Crystal gets the message. Crystal nodded her head as she tried her best to regain her composure.
“But… But I have been so rude lately… I have hidden this from you all and I treated Stacy horribly. You are still willing to stay by my side through all of that?!”
”Yes, you went at Stacy. But you also apologized. Yes, you have been erratic at times. But what is to be expected when you’re so worried for your daughter? Crystal… honestly, you act as though we won’t understand. You have to trust us. That’s one of the most important parts of friendship. Now come on… bring it in again. You’re gonna be the death of me, girl, I swear.”
Gently taking the glass from Crystal and putting it on a nearby end table, Zoey draws her friend into her arms again, hugging her tight and kissing the top of her head.
”Somehow, we’ll find a way to fix this. And we’ll do it together. Understand me?”
Crystal slowly nods her head in agreement as she smiles at her friend in return.
“Thank you so much for being my friend Zoey… I honestly don’t know where I would be if I didn’t have someone like you in my life. Both you and Farrah, I never did good with stables. In the past I would have stabbed you in the back by now or you would have turned against me but that seems to be far from the case.”
Crystal looks at Zoey as she hugs her tightly.
“I believe in you… We will fix this even if I feel too weak to do so by myself… Do you think Stacy will forgive me for the way I have been treating her as of lately? It has nothing to do with this match it’s all about the circumstance that I have been dealing with.”
”If you’re worried about that, talk to her backstage… or even call her form here if you want. Tell her what you told me and explain things. Apologize. I know you did that already, but a second time won’t hurt. Stacy is a sweet woman and understands how crazy life can sometimes get. She’ll understand. And without that cloud hanging over the two of you, you can focus on putting out a great match at LAW #75 without baggage weighing you down. It’s win-win.”
The hug keeps right on going, marathon-style, before Zoey picks up Crystal’s drink and leads her back to the table.
”Now eat, honey, before your dinner gets cold. Get out of the chair without that plate being cleared again and I’ll strap you into it.”
Of course she’s joking with her friend, trying to get a smile and perhaps a giggle out of the Marquee Champion. But Zoey being Zoey? She might just follow through!
“Oh is that a fact? Look, whatever kind of things you and Katalina do in your love life…”
Crystal smiles as she winks to Zoey.
“Feel free to give Sel and I pointers… She may seem like the sweetest Swedish girl ever but she herself has a different side to her. One she doesn’t show the public.”
Crystal giggles as she looks back at Zoey.
“I won’t get up anymore… Especially not with the way you cook. Thank you for being a friend.”
”You’re more than welcome. Next time I see Sel, I’ll have a chat with her… teach her a few ways to keep you in line.”
Zoey winks at her friend, fixes her a glass of water and of soda to go along with the meal since vodka alone wasn’t the best idea, then trotted off to see to the guest room. Crystal smiles as she looks at her friend walk away and it’s at that moment that her cell phone begins to go off. Crystal looks at her phone as the name on the caller id reads “Todd” She offers a long sigh as she picks it up.
“Hello?!”
Is all Crystal could say as the voice on the other end could be heard saying.
“Come to the hotel as soon as possible. Tonight we start dealing with this Maria Salvatore situation…”
After that was said the phone hangs up leaving Crystal to sit there stunned. She breathes heavily as she looks at her phone. It looks like things were going to be dealt with whether she wanted it to be or not. There was no escaping it from here on out.

People of LAW…
Stars, Starlets, and of course my beautiful Rose Buds I just want to say it feels so good to be addressing you all right now. I feel like I owe all of you an apology because for the past couple of months I really haven’t been myself. I know I have been dropping the ball when it comes to wrestling matches or even addressing you all but I just want you to know that I have my reasons.
I want to be the woman to stand before all of you, and give you everything night in and night out but lately that isn’t the case. I am going through some deep personal things. Things that can shake my entire world but as much as I have gone through I know I have to bring it at the next edition of LAW because I am stepping into the ring with one of my best friends in the form of Stacy Marie Jones.
SMJ I just want to go on the record and say that I love you. Knowing you these last few months have been some of the best in my entire life. You have done so many things for me that I am truly grateful for. Mainly you were the one that introduce me to the love of my life in Seleana Zdunich.
When we first met I was a broken woman. I was a woman that was caught up in a nonexistent relationship. Yet you could have gone on not really caring about how I was doing yet that wasn’t the case. You made sure to be a friend first and foremost and you were there for me the entire time. Instead of letting me go through life broken hearted you stepped into the void and introduced me to the lovely Seleana and I am thankful for what you did.
Being with Sel has been absolutely magical for me. If it wasn’t for her I don’t know where I would be in my life. It’s like she helped push the restart button on my life and I owe it all to you. I am proud to have you as a friend and more importantly than that I am truly blessed that I get to share being in the Angels with you.
You truly are an Angel and I am happy that you have swooped down from wherever you were right into the confines of my life. I know we are going to do battle but no matter what happens you and I will be friends by the end of this match because that’s the bond that we have developed with one another.
To be honest you can ask anyone in LAW stables have never been my thing. Ranging from the A Listers all the way to EMF and it’s all resulted in self-destruction because I got too prideful. Yet here we are now with the Boardwalk Angels and I feel like I am having the best time of my life. I feel it’s been a rebirth of Crystal Hilton.
When everyone else thought that I was a washed up has been. A woman who could never find the broken pieces of her career they invested in me and in turn I have built up the confidence to just go out to that ring and simply do what I do best. I am now at my peak and I am happy that you along with the other Angels have brought me here. I honestly can’t thank you all enough.
But don’t take my gratefulness for granted because with this upcoming match I know what I must do. I have to go to the ring and do battle with the likes of you. I didn’t work this hard just to lose everything I chased after in one fell swoop. I need to defend my championship and I have to beat you despite how close the two of us might be.
I already know what you are about Stacy… You are the Unbreakable one and a woman such as you wouldn’t let a trial such as competing against a best friend get to you. After all you have been in LAW for a while and you are after one thing. You want to make your way towards getting an eventual World Championship match.
You said it yourself that is what you are about and when it comes to being inside of the ring as soon as the bell rings we aren’t friends. You are merely a woman who is looking to do what is needed to get ahead in this business.
As you pointed out numerous times you went through your very own brother to win yourself a championship and I am not going to allow you to do that to me. I have failed so much in this company. People have built me up to be this queen of wrestling and all I have been doing as of lately is letting them down.
That’s all I have ever done.
Since making my debut in this company and not becoming the Marquee Champion that they all wanted me to be. Or the hype that was surrounding me when I faced the likes of Sidney Grey. The list goes on and on. I could mention how I finally rose through the ranks to win the Queen of the Ring only to let everyone down whoever believed in me when I lost to Gabby Camacho.
There has been so much disappointment when it comes to me and my wrestling career but I am not going to allow my four year journey to the Marquee Championship come to an end because I couldn’t bring myself to give the fight to one of my best friends that she deserves.
You deserve better than that and everybody who has ever believed in me deserves way better than that. I will bring myself to battle you and I will showcase to the world that the woman who poured her heart into winning the Marquee Championship hasn’t disappeared overnight.
I know I should have established myself better. I should have been a champion and I can’t control Sarah Lacklan getting hurt to the point where she wouldn’t be able to compete at Night of Glory, but I could have still shown up.
I could have still been vocal about being a champion and instead I have been quiet. Instead I have allowed my personal issues get the better of me and I have become the very thing that I bowed to never become. I became a champion that is merely sitting on a championship and that is nowhere close to what I am.
The Champion of Champions match didn’t go in my favor and I dropped the ball again. I showed that I am not ready to be in the ring with the likes of Camacho and Kate. I got beat by Kenzi yet again and I know it’s only a matter of time before someone that is hungry enough comes in and takes my championship. Let me just say I won’t let that happen and I will build myself into beating you!
Stacy you have been through so much just to get to this moment. I know you believe in your heart that you could have beaten Sarah Lacklan and a win over her would have changed the entire Queen of the Ring tournament. When you went against me the first time you did so with the intention of moving yourself further up the ladder.
Although I did have it in me to beat you that match seems like it was a little ways away and I was coming off of a title win. I was motivated after fighting Gabby Camacho, and I was just passionate to be in the ring.
Yet since that day my right as a champion has been in question as I have been dropping the ball and your stock has been rising. After losing to Samantha Tolson you have bounced back with a vengeance to prove that you deserve this opportunity. You have proved that you want this. That a championship is all you desire and if it means going through me to get to your ultimate position of being the best woman in the company then so be it.
Let me just tell you that it won’t be that easy Stacy. I might not have shown it in the past but I know for a fact that I am the better wrestler between the both of us. I have built myself up with the intention to move forward in this business.
These fans deserve better from me, and even though I dropped the ball in the Champions of Champions challenge I know I can prove myself to bounce back just like you did after losing to Tolson.
Gabby Camacho stated that you were among one of the best in this company. After the two of you fought all across that ring she came out to say that you brought it and that you would make it big here one day. That’s a lot more than I have ever gotten from her and it stings knowing that I have built myself up for so long and got nothing in return.
I know you are a big name outside of this company. I know you hold championships elsewhere and honestly that’s great but I won’t let you come into my domain and take away the very thing that I worked so hard to achieve.
Four years of blood, of sweat, and tears to get this title and it won’t come to end just like that. Despite my personal mishaps I will raise the bar in that ring and do what’s needed to win I just ask that you do the same.
After all as soon as that bell sounds you will be in the ring with the SILVER SCREEN QUEEN!!! At LAW we have the pleasure of being in the main event together. We are the Marquee match and everyone that knows me knows I live for the thrill of being the main event. I don’t play second to anyone and I won’t lose my spotlight to a friend.
Especially not one I hold dear as you.
But seeing as the entire world will be watching the both of us why don’t we give everybody the show they have been dying to see. Let’s show them what an all Angels main event looks like. You have your beautiful fiancé watching I have a beautiful girlfriend watching.
For everyone that is tuning in let’s show them what the both of us are all about. Whoever emerges with a win will be the woman who outwrestled the other. The woman who deserves it the most. I know it’s going to be a great match and we are going to be the ones to steal the show.
No one flies as high as Angels do so let’s take flight shall we SMJ?!
Lights
Camera
Action
Let’s make a movie shall we?!
See you in the ring friend because you can be damn sure that I definitely will…
