Wow, no one has done this since LAW 2??? And it was RAYNE? Jesus, that guy is something else...
Anyway.
I wanted to give my insight to what bossman tweeted last night around the time that he posted the results. So, in a way, this is sort of just fedwide feedback and not for any particular show.
I run a fed myself. I get it. I know how much of a downer it can be when matches don't get written or when people are blowing you up whining about the results. I have BEEN THERE for sure.
In a way, the Roxi Johnson tweets were a bit of a relief... because they confirmed what I already thought. It was really pretty obvious to me that the boss's heart just wasn't in this. Pretty much every show being late, not much in the way of proactively getting writing assigned, etc... those are all pretty classic indications of capitulation.
So, I have the following suggestions:
1) Put LAW on hiatus. Say six months. Whatever. Take a break from it. You love this hobby and eventually you'll want to come back to it, and when you do, either people will be ba part of it from before, or you'll get new ones. Such is life. You can rest assured that Roxy will remind everyone that she's the Chaos Champion every day forever.
2) Get someone to help you. You can't do it alone. The site is way behind on updates, and it's because you just don't have the desire to keep up on it. Get a partner. Get two. Put someone in charge of getting matches assigned and written. Someone in charge of keeping the site fresh and creating interaction among the community.
3) Shut it down. Call it quits. Not the best option, but all good things...
All I know is you won't be able to keep doing it this way much longer. It won't be worth the trouble to you after a bit longer. Trust me.
Thx bb
