Starring Trisha VanReardon
Featuring #1 Contender to the LAW Championship; “Lady Luck” Fujiko Mine
The camera centered on the lovely face of Trisha VanReardon as she walked out, waving to the fans in her audience. “Greetings all, greetings and welcome to ‘The Hot Seat!’ Tonight we are less than two-weeks away from LAW Validation and we have a VERY special guest here on the show tonight!”
Trisha ran her hand over the back of the Hot Seat. “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the woman who is going to be the next LAW Champion…please put your hands together for ‘Ms. Lady Luck’ Fujiko Mine!”

Trisha matched Fujiko’s amazing smile. “Welcome Ms. Mine! It is a pleasure and an honor to have you here with us tonight.” Trisha laced her fingers as she leaned in to address the LAW Number One Contender. “Thank you very much for coming here tonight, I only hope that you are more professional than your opponent at Validation. Her last two appearances here have ended…rather abruptly.”
Trisha sat back, rubbing her hands together. “Enough formalities, let’s get right to the meat of the matter, shall we?” She raised her brow pointedly, “I am not sure if you caught our last episode, but your opponent at the upcoming iPPV…sitting in that very seat, and while she was polite about your upcoming match, she made it perfectly clear to everyone that you don’t stand a chance in hell of beating her.” Trisha paused, drinking in the woman’s reaction.
“Confidence has never been a problem for you, so I have to ask…what do you have to say about the confidence that Oni has displayed that you will be leaving Validation empty handed?”

Fujiko gave a slight shrug to start her response. "Of course she should be confident. She's the LAW champion. No matter how much stuff she wants to talk about being the worst one ever, there is something that comes with it to know that she is the one to beat here in Ladies All-Star Wrestling. I'd actually be more concerned if she showed no confidence about beating me at all. I want her at her best, so when I win, there are no excuses about it." Fujiko let her smile fade a tick. "Not to say that she would be giving those excuses. I think plenty of people around here seem to have their own opinions about things, and me beating Oni at her best, I think, goes a long way in me silencing doubters."
Fujiko sits back in her seat, giving a nod to show she's satisfied with her answer.

Trisha nodded at the answer, but something mischievous played behind her blue eyes. She leaned in as she asked her next question. “Do you think the doubters are the ones that are fueled by the fact that the only real black mark on your record is a lost to Nyako, in a failed attempt to capture the Marquee Championship…a loss you had a chance to avenge, but passed on?”

Fujiko places her index finger on her chin, tapping it here and there in an attempt to convey thought. She inhales, seems to zero in on an answer, and then places her hands in her lap and then speaks.
"I think Oni answered that best for me. I have echoed those thoughts. Everyone that is in this business should be here because they want to be the best. If they aren't, they're kidding themselves. I wouldn't call my loss to Nyako a 'black mark', as Nyako fought hard, and was just a little bit better than me that night. I planned on showing her that I could take the Marquee title from her, but when the opportunity to become THE TOP champion was in my sights? I'd be absolutely foolish to pass it by." Fujiko shifts a little in her seat, switching her legs into a crossed position. "Maybe she was taunting me for Oni's sake, to try and shake me from my game, but it failed. I'll happily face Nyako in the future to prove that her win was a fluke, but right now, I have the chance to prove that I can be the best in LAW. And to prove that I can be a better champion than Oni."

Trisha smiled and nodded in agreement. Her many well-documented confrontations with Oni had left her jaded, even if they did technically work for the same company. Trisha crossed her long shapely legs as she pointed to her guest.
“I can tell that you would certainly be a better champion than Oni, but to be honest, anyone would! Not a knock on her in-ring talent, but her out-of-the-ring issues have embarrassed LAW, time and time again. Backstage brawls, police arrests, and an impending sex tape...? Tell me Ms. Mine, what do you think of Oni's terrible reign as champion, and how will you be any different?"
Post by "Lady Luck" Fujiko Mine on May 15, 2015 11:48:25 GMT -5
"Terrible reign?" She started, seeming confused. "I'm not the one saying her reign was terrible. She's yet to prove that she can defend it, true; but I'm not going to say she's a terrible champion. Like it or not, the LAW championship means that you're the best around here. She survived a tournament to be able to call herself champion. So I have respect for her in that regard. As for me?"
Fujiko leans forward in her seat, a smirk crossing her face.
"I'm going to be like no other champion in LAW. I'm going to fight. You were familiar with Keira Fischer moaning about not getting a title shot, right? Well, if and when I become LAW champion, I'm going to challenge this roster to try and take what I have scratched and clawed for. So goons like Keira can challenge me if they'd like, and they'll see that flippantly throwing my name around like they have been is a mistake. To me, it's one thing to win the title, but defending it is a whole different thing. And I'll be happy to defend it against whomever, whenever. Whether it's at a LAW Pay Per View event, or on free television; I'm going to be willing to face anyone that wants to step up. That's no empty promise. Whether it's Oni wanting a rematch, or Jennifer Drew, it doesn't matter. I will set everyone down in order to prove that I am the best that this company has, bar none."

Something dark played across Trisha's face as she listened to Fujiko's answer. She expected more vemon and fire towards Oni, but it was apparent that this woman wasn't cut from the same cloth as others she had interviewed. She sat back and laced her fingers, eyeing her guest critically.
“I have to admit, I expected more from you. It almost seems like you respect Oni...but I can tell you right off that she doesn't deserve it! She's a fake and a bully. She has intentionally tried to injure opponents...one person on this roster that she put in a wheelchair, for no reason at all...then she tried to kill Kate Steele after their match."
"I hope you aren't looking pass this woman's two-faced nature, because she has obvious mental issues! I have to ask you, is the reason you are being so flippant because of your shared Asian heritage...at least in part? Is USA trying to recruit you into their ranks?"
Post by "Lady Luck" Fujiko Mine on May 15, 2015 16:45:14 GMT -5
Fujiko stifled a laugh. "Shared heritage? Gosh no. The USA may be trying to get me to join them, but I'm honestly not interested. I'm sorry if you've got some anger towards Oni for what she's done to you, and to others, but I'm not going to get caught in the same trap. To get angry or upset at Oni over what she's done is to give away an advantage, an avenue that she can use to try and win this match against me. I made that mistake against Nyako, and I refuse to do it again. So Oni only gets my focus, and nothing else. I am going to come out of this match the new LAW champion, but it'll be on my terms. Not hers."

Trisha was visibly annoyed at Fujiko’s lack of venom. It wasn’t often that she was taken off her game, but it was apparent at the moment. Trisha did what she could to compose herself, despite her severe irritation.
“Okay Fujiko, it is obvious to me that you are trying to cozy your way up to Oni so you can knife her while her guard is down, but I’m just saying…there is no need for all the gamesmanship…Oni is an animal, and you need to just sock her in the nose and show her who’s boss…assuming you are capable of doing that!”
Trisha chuckled, happy with her jab as she reasserted herself. “Okay Ms. Mine, here is the last question. You’ve been laying low…staying off the grid as it were as of late. There has been speculation as to why…some say that you’ve been getting ready for your opportunity…others say that you have been hiding to rehab a little injury that sustained in your last match…”
She grinned coyly, “That wasn’t a little limp I saw when you walked in, was it?” She laughed, “I kid…I kid! But seriously Mine…tell us…where have you been…an exactly what have you been doing?”

Fujiko shook her head quickly, confusion settling in.
"I can honestly say I don't understand how you got to that conclusion from my previous answer. I'm not 'cozying' up to her, I'm letting her know, just like I'm saying now, that I'm going to Validation to kick her tail and take her championship. But it's nothing personal. It's just the nature of the business." Fujiko keeps her cool here, despite Trisha's apparent attempt to rile her up.
"As far as where I've been? I'm not hiding an injury...though if I was, I certainly wouldn't say so here. I'm not about to broadcast any weakness that Oni can take advantage of. I took a trip overseas..." She pauses for a second. "It was for training. That's all I am going to say on the subject."

All these secrets! I guess we’ll have to wait to see how it pans out I guess!” Trisha smiled at Fujiko as she stood up, “And with that…tonight’s show comes to a close!” Trisha turned and blew a kiss to her guest. “I’d like to thank Fujiko Mine for coming by and sharing her thoughts on her upcoming match. I’d wish her luck, but I don’t think that she’ll need it.”
She turned to her audience. “Thank all of you for coming here tonight! I am Trisha VanReardon, and this as been ‘The Hot Seat!’ Join me next time and find out if my next guest can stand the heat!”
