The scene opens up with Skye Sparks, Miyoko Oshiro and Fergus Callaghan sitting in a large gym with workout pads, punching bags and heavy bags. Skye has her head in her hands and both Fergus and Miyoko are sweating but not breathing too heavily.
Fergus Callaghan: Good work today guys. I’m really proud of how far you have come in your careers.
Skye Sparks: Thank you Fergus and thank you for helping work on these moves Miyoko.
Miyoko Oshiro: You’re welcome Skye. I’m glad to see that you are improving. In fact you might just be able to win this whole tournament and get a shot at the World Title.
Skye Sparks: It means a lot to me that you are guys are willing to take time out of your busy schedules to help me prepare for this match. It really does mean a lot to me.
Fergus Callaghan: No problem Skye, this is my job now, you are just lucky and getting all of this teaching for free.
Skye Sparks: Fair.
Fergus Callaghan: and this is helping Miyoko out too. She can see how these moves work and can figure out how to escape them. This is really beneficial for the both of you.
Miyoko Oshiro: Fair point. Skye maybe later today or tomorrow I can show you some of the tricks I learned in Japan.
Skye Sparks: That would be awesome; nobody would expect me to know moves like that. There would be no way to prepare for that type of offense.
Miyoko Oshiro: Exactly, that’s what makes a wrestler great is being unpredictable. All of the greats never stop learning new moves and techniques. If you stop learning then you become predictable and that makes you easy to beat. Never quit learning Skye and if you don’t stop, no one will be able to stop you from becoming great.
Skye Sparks: Thanks for the advice and I know that I should spend more time learning to be a better wrestler but honestly it’s really hard to do. I don’t pick it up as quickly as the two of you do.
Miyoko Oshiro: That’s okay Skye; some people don’t pick it up as easy as others. If that’s the case with you, you will just need to put in more work to get it figured out.
Skye Sparks: Will you help me with that?
Miyoko Oshiro: Absolutely, I guess you have a full on team now. With me as your wrestling life coach and Fergus as your wrestling coach there is absolutely no reason that you can’t become the best wrestler in LAW and with that absolutely no way you can’t win the World title.
Skye Sparks: Thanks for the support guys. Miyoko, are you going to show me everything you learned in Japan?
Miyoko Oshiro: Absolutely not.
Skye Sparks: Why not?
Miyoko Oshiro: What happens when I come back to LAW and we end up facing each other, I know that we are friends and stuff but I’m not going to lay down for you. I’ll give you everything I got to makes sure that I can further my career too.
Skye Sparks: That’s a good point. I guess I’ll just have to learn some stuff that you don’t know.
Miyoko Oshiro: I may be young but I live for wrestling. If I was in this tournament I would win it without breaking a sweat. Now what makes you think that you could find someone to teach you something that I’ve never learned?
Skye Sparks: Because I know a man who has never trained you and has told me that he would be willing to train me in some really awesome wrestling moves.
Miyoko Oshiro: Who is that?
Skye Sparks: Your father, Markus Reeves.
Miyoko Oshiro: What does he know that I don’t already know?
Skye Sparks: He’s going to teach me how to brawl like he does.
Miyoko Oshiro: I don’t see what he is going to teach you. Being a brawler is pretty much just habit more than actual training.
Skye Sparks: He thinks that he can teach me to have the instinct to do it.
Miyoko Oshiro: Will he be able to teach you this before Queen of the Ring?
Skye Sparks: He thinks that he can and he thinks it will work really well against any opponent that I might have to face.
Miyoko Oshiro: You’re right, it would really work. No one really knows how to defend against a brawler if they don’t expect it to happen. This is a great strategy and I can’t believe that we didn’t think of this. Fergus I think we might have been teaching the wrong stuff to Skye this whole time.
Fergus Callaghan: I know I was waiting for you to finally figure it out. I mean come on, you and I both wanted to get into a fist fight in every match we had. We were never the biggest or the strongest but we were usually faster than everyone else plus being a tad crazy didn’t hurt us either.
Skye Sparks: Will I be able to switch styles just like that in time for Queen of the Ring?
Fergus Callaghan: Of course you can, as long as you are willing to put the work that is required in to be able to learn a new style. Are you willing to put the work in?
Skye Sparks: Yes sir.
Fergus Callaghan: Good to hear. When Markus Reeves get here we will be able to start your transformation.
Miyoko Oshiro: Dad is going to be here?
Fergus Callaghan: Well, yeah. I mean we can’t teach Skye to brawl without the greatest brawler in wrestling history.
Miyoko Oshiro: Fair.
Skye Sparks: Now I’m starting to get nervous.
Fergus Callaghan: Yeah, that will happen when you are surrounded by greatness. Don’t worry that feeling will pass once we start getting into it or you will just puke and feel better. The choice is really yours.
Skye Sparks: Gee, thanks. We are going to start tonight?
Fergus Callaghan: Might as well, your heart rate should still be a little elevated from the workout and it won’t take much stretching to get back into it, plus we don’t have a lot of time before you match and we pretty much have to retool your whole arsenal of moves. We are going to teach you to throw punches faster than you ever thought you could and maybe get you some judo tosses that won’t take a ton of strength to pull off.
Skye Sparks: Thank you again guys for helping me out. You guys give me a ton of confidence that I can go out and beat everyone and win the Queen of the Ring and then go and win the World Title. Words can’t even describe exactly how much you both mean to me.
Miyoko Oshiro: I’m guessing that I can speak for both Fergus and I when we say you’re welcome. We really want to see you succeed and this is probably the best way for it to happen.
Skye can only smile when suddenly the doors of the gym blow open and a bright light shines into the gym and an angelic sounding harp begins to play.
Fergus Callaghan: What the Hell is this?
The light and music begins to fade away as a hulking figure walks through the door. The figure walks out of the shadows and reveals himself as Markus Reeves.
Markus Reeves: Evening ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to learn some shit.
