The scene opens up with Skye Sparks and Fergus Callaghan in a training room with weights, heavy bags and other workout equipment. Skye is on her knees breathing heavily, covered in sweat and Fergus looks like he has barely broken a sweat
Skye Sparks: I can't do this anymore.
Fergus Callaghan: No, now is the not the time to quit. You have come too far to just give up now, if you quit on this training session now you might as well not show up tomorrow night. You might as well give the match to Violet.
Skye Sparks: Okay, what do you want me to do now?
Fergus Callaghan: I'm going to have you work on your high kicks. You think that fancy crap is going to help you win matches but nothing is more effective in demoralizing your opponent than kicking them in their face.
Skye Sparks: Right, like Mike Tyson says "Everyone has a plan until they get punched." That's exactly what I need to do. I need to kick Violet in the face and then after that I need to kick her in the body and then I need to be completely unpredictable.
Fergus Callaghan: Exactly, you can't let her think that she has you figured out; when she thinks that she has you figured out you need to actually be two steps ahead of her.
Fergus walks over and rolls in training dummy. He stands in front of it he pulls out a piece of paper and sticks it on the dummy. He moves out of the way to reveal a picture of Violet on the face of the dummy.
Skye Sparks: The picture is funny, I hope you aren't offended that I didn't laugh, I'm too exhausted to laugh
Fergus Callaghan: None taken, next week we will work on your cardio. Getting worn out is the quickest way to lose a match. I may not have won a lot of matches but I knew that in every match I was the better athlete at least when it came to cardio.
Skye Sparks: Okay, what do you want me to do?
Fergus Callaghan: I have a sensor in the head of this dummy that will determine how hard you are kicking. You will keep kicking the head until I feel that you are at an acceptable level. Does that work for you?
Skye Sparks: It's going to have to be.
Skye looks at the dummy and unleashes a kick to the right side of the dummies head with her right foot
Skye Sparks: How was that?
Fergus Callaghan: It's was okay I guess, not too bad for your first one but honestly it's not going to do a whole lot of good against Violet. She has shown in her two matches that she kind of likes being hit, you need to hit her harder and harder and eventually she will crack. You need to knock the crazy out of her.
Skye Sparks: I don't think she is actually crazy, I think she just says that she is crazy so that people think she is going to come out and do something completely bizarre and she can use that to get someone such as myself off my game. I'm not going to let her do that, I'm going to go out and dictate the pace of the match and I'm going to make her have to try and play catch up with me. I'm going to completely throw her off her game.
Fergus Callaghan: Good, now kick the dummy
Skye unleashes another kick and it causes the dummy to rock a little bit
Fergus Callaghan: Much better, you finally seem to be getting that killer instinct.
Skye Sparks: Yeah, I got inspired by the match today, watching Chelsea go out and spoil Wenger's 1000th match in charge of Arsenal really inspired me. I realized that I need to get the killer instinct, Chelsea really could have sunk back and defended when they went up three to nil but instead they decided to keep pushing the attack and ended scoring three more times. That's what I'm going to do tomorrow night, I'm going to be relentless, I'm going to be nasty and most importantly, I'm going to win. I'm sick of losing, losing isn't something my family is accustomed to doing. When my brothers and I were in school we were competitive when it came to everything whether it was school or sports. This is no different, I'm done losing, and I’m done being the laughing stock of the company.
Fergus Callaghan: Good, that's what I want to hear, no quit from you. Another thing we will have to work on next week is being able to get some powerful kicks off with your left foot.
Skye Sparks: Why is that?
Fergus Callaghan: Because you need to be equally good with each foot.
Skye Sparks: You do know that I'm left-handed right?
Fergus Callaghan: You're what?
Skye Sparks: I'm a southpaw; my right foot is my week foot honestly.
Fergus Callaghan: Okay, I guess I have misjudged you on this since you are left footed. Could you give me a left footed kick just so I can see what I've been missing out on?
Skye Sparks: Sure, I guess I can do that.
Skye lines up and kicks the dummy with her left foot and nearly tips it over
Skye Sparks: How as that?
Fergus looks down at monitor to the right of him with amazement
Fergus Callaghan: You are full of surprises, say where did you learn to kick like that?
Skye Sparks: Well I took some karate when I was littler and when I was in secondary school I was a four varsity soccer participant. My legs are stronger than they appear and that's going to be a problem for poor little Violet tomorrow night, are we done now?
Fergus Callaghan: Yeah you are done, I'm going to hang back and get a little workout in. Go get cleaned up, Katie wants to take you out to dinner tonight and she is very impatient when she makes secret plans
Skye Sparks: Okay, I'll hurry. I'll see you later.
Fergus Callaghan: See ya.
The scene fades out
Skye Sparks: I can't do this anymore.
