"The Rundown" Episode 3 (LAW #39)

THE RUNDOWN

The scene opened inside a massive theater room where Kenzi Grey and Alizé Platinum were sitting side by side in their usual large overstuffed theater seats as they replayed LAW #39. This time, the looks on their faces were particularly sour. This was not going to be a particularly good episode.

The very first segment was General Manager Ashley Chase as she came down and laid out her plans for several stars in the company. When Ashley mentioned Kenzi specifically, the young girl squirmed uncomfortably in her chair. It was nice that the GM had mentioned her, but she wasn’t feeling particularly special at the moment.

She looked over at Alizé, “I was so happy and proud when she mentioned me…but now…I kinda wish she hadn’t!” She shook her head, “Ashley is such an awesome GM…and I feel like maybe she is seeing something in me that just isn’t there!”

[Wendy & Fwiends]

"Awesome GM?!"

Those were the words of the woman walking into the room, wielding the same shovel she'd used to take out EMF.
Wendy blinked at Kenzi.

Wendy: Lemme make somefink clear. Me's here to fight adversity. Favour. Favouwitism. An' me gets da impwession... you's kibnda dwinkin dat favouwitsm Kool-Aid... give me's a weason not to bwain you's wiv dis shovel?

Wendy grps the shovel tightly, as she awaits a response.

Alizé looked at the weirdo who entered their private viewing room then at Kenzi, wondering if she knew what the hell was going on.

“Who the fuck let this bitch in?” she said to Kenzi.

She looked back at house with her shovel in hand and narrowed her eyes at her. “Bitch if you think you gonna be hittin’ anyone wit that shovel, I’m going to take that thing from you and ram it so far up yo’ ass you’ll be crapping wood and metal for months.”

Kenzi paused the LAW show as she glared at Wendy, not having any idea who the woman was or what she was talking about. She narrowed her eyes, clearly angry and upset at the interruption. “I don’t know who the fuck you think you are, but your ass had better get the hell out of here before I mace the shit out of you!”

Kenzi pulled out her handheld mace and aimed it at Wendy, clearly intent on blinding the woman and then stomping a mudhole in her behind. “I’m going to count to 3…and then I am going to burn your eyes right out of your head! YOU GET OUT OF HERE…RIGHT NOW!! 1… 2…”

Alizé put a hand on Kenzi’s arm to try to calm her down. “Kenz, ignore the ignorant heifer. If she was about somethin’ she would have done somethin’ by now.” Alizé looked back at house with a sneer on her face. “Besides, I’m sure the psycho ward will be by soon to pick her ass, drug her and lock her up away from human beings.”

She turned her attention back to Kenzi. “Besides she don’t know what she talking about. As far as I have seen, Ash is fixin’ the ‘injustices’ that were done before by that bitch Bliss. Talk about favoritism. Hell Bliss was bendin’ over backwards for her posse and crappin’ on everyone else. Ash is just giving props where they are rightly deserved. Especially when talking about you girl. You know you deserve the praise despite what other stank hos…” Alizé coughed *Keira Fisher* before continuing, “…have to say.”

Kenzi looked at Alizé and then she looked over at Wendy, then promptly sprayed the mace in her face and pushed her out the door and locked it. Kenzi walked back over to her seat and plopped down, hitting the ‘play’ button as she did.

“Now…where were we?”

The first match played, a triple threat with Jocelyn, Jade, and Ursula. Kenzi sat back, watch the match as she rubbed her chin. “You know…for a while it really looked like Jade was going to be someone here, especially after what she did in the Lumberjill match.” She shook her head, “Talk about falling off!”

Ursula finished off Jocelyn after Jade was left laying outside the ring. Kenzi sighed, “I guess she’s just one and done, huh?”

"She bought way too much into her own hype.  I mean what she did in the lumberjil match was good.  But after that....nothin'.  Honestly it's liek so many in the biz today.  Come in hard but quickly go limp.  They need like some wrestling Viagra or somethin'."

Alize saw the ending of the match.  "Let's see if this Ursula chick suffers the same fate.  Hell I thought she had the way Yin whooped that ass last show."

[Kayla Winters]

Kayla opens the door.

Kayla: Sorry, wrong room.

[Kenzi Grey]

Kenzi stared at the door as it was opened and closed again by another newb just bumrushing the show. “GODDAMN IT!” Kenzi got up and powerwalked over to the door and locked it this time.

She stomped back over and sat down. By the time she had done that, the second match between Madison and Michelle was nearly half over. “I don’t know who Madison is.” She looked over at Alizé, “Do you even know who that is? Maybe she is another ALCW chick!”

Al shrugged at Kenzi.  "Hell I don't know either of these chicks are really.  I think I might have seen them outside the arena holding signs that say will work for food."

[Kenzi Grey]

Kenzi snorted as she laughed. “True! It’s mad bitches beating down the door to get in here, but then they don’t do shit to get noticed! It’s a waste of time if you ask me!”

As the segment with Ashley Chase began, Kenzi sat back and listened to what she had to say. “People can say what they want, but Chase is a damn good GM! She knows how to make shit interesting and she is fair…the one thing that Bliss didn’t even know how to spell! I am glad that fucking freak is gone! I hope I never hear her goddamn name again!

She shook her head, “If Lucas don’t keep Ashley on salary, I might volunteer to take a pay cut to keep her here! The last thing we need is another piece of shit running the shows into the damn ground!”

"Preach Girl!" Al said with a small chuckle as she held her hand up as if she was in church.  "I'm with you on about all that.  Everythin' but the pay cut, ain't no way I'm doin' that no matter how much I like you."

As Ashley and Carmen's segment ended her match against Ana Jones started to play.  Quickly her mood soured.  "Fast forward this shit.  I don't need to see the heifer steal my win."

Kenzi’s mood was equally sour over the end of the match, so she happily fast forwarded…right up to the part where the two of them confronted the tag champions. She hit play of that part. “Look at those bitches faces, they really thought we were going to bail! Those hoes are too fucking confident! We are going to knock their goddamn teeth down their throats!” She turned to Alizé, “And that A-Lister name…that shit is over and DONE! If those stupid cunts can change their shit…we are changing our shit as well! No more biting off anyone…we do our OWN shit from here on out!”

Al snorted. "So what should we be called the Cum Guzzling Bitches since Jones keeps referring to us as that."

She shook her head in disgust. "What the fuck is up wit that skank anyway. She keeps sayin' the same damn shit over and over again. I mean somebody that claims to be original so sounds like a broken record to me." She looked back toward the screen. "I am glad we put them bitches in their places though. Man like you said they really thought they had us running scared. If it wasn't for the refs and security we would have ended them right then and there."

“We’ll handle them soon enough…where it matters…in the RING!” Kenzi gave Alizé a fist bump, but the next segment irritated her more than anything else.

Kenzi glared at the screen as Violet came to the arena and spilled her guts to Roxi, of all people. Kenzi picked up the remote and considered fast forwarding past the segment, but anger wouldn’t let her. “You know…I wasn’t happy about Vi up and quitting on us…I mean…a lot of people said that she would. That was a risk I was willing to take for the sake of her vision…but this…THIS?! This is too much for me to swallow without screaming!!”

Kenzi got to her feet and paced back and forth, her face a mask of rage. “She texted me and told me that she was going to quit…and while I was bent out of shape, I knew that eventually she would come and see the three of us…come and look us in the eye.” Kenzi looked back at the image of the woman she had once called Mama on the screen and balled up her fist…wishing that she could drive it completely through her face. “Roxi? REALLY?! She shares this moment with ROXI MOTHERFUCKING JOHNSON AND NOT ANY OF US? NOT YOU, NOT JENN…NOT…not…” her voice becomes small as she struggles to fight back tears, “…not me…” Kenzi walks back and collapses in her chair, with a look of absolute confusion and heartbreak on her face. No more tears fall…she has no more left inside her for the woman.
