Following an eventful LAW #48, interviewer Colin Reed is the first to catch a glimpse of Kenzi Grey as she walks through the backstage area with a rather large grin on her face. Colin walks over to the reality star, microphone in hand. “Ms. Grey? Could I have a moment please?” Colin gestures for the camera to get a shot of them together as he prepares to interview her. “Ms. Grey…you were all over the place in Orlando tonight. First, in an all-out brawl with Alexis Blake…then siding with Brittany Williams against her own mother in a QOTR qualifier…and finally injecting yourself into the main event between Mackenzie Roberts and Keira Fisher. What exactly did you expect to accomplish with all of that?”
Kenzi walked over and looked Colin up and down, then gave him a snarky grin as she threw her arm over his shoulder, getting uncomfortably close the man. “First things, first. The fans adore me…they all wanted to see me out there tonight…and who am I to deny them the opportunity?” Kenzi’s demeanor changes slightly as she addresses Alexis Blake, “As for my little dust up with Blake…I’m sick and tired of that MAN sticking her nose in my business! I came out tonight to have a heart-to-heart with the LAW fans, but that attention whore can’t seem to stay out of my spotlight! She’s damn lucky that Security was there to stop me from finishing her off right there in the lobby tonight!” Kenzi narrowed her eyes, “Blake crossed the line…interrupting me not once, but twice! There is going to be hell to pay Colin…you mark my words!”
Colin nodded, “What about this alliance with Brittany Williams? Are you joining forces with her new group?”
A smile touched her lips, “Brittany and I are besties Colin! She’s my sister and I will always support her…like she’ll always support me…”
Colin cocked his head to the side, “You didn’t answer my question.”
Kenzi continued to smile, “Nope…I didn’t…”
Colin stared at Kenzi, waiting for more, but it wasn’t forth coming. He sighed and then moved on. “Why did you feel the need to get involved in the main event? For all intents and purposes, your presence may have cost The Marquee Champion the win. We know you had no desire to see Keira Fisher win, especially after all of your comments on social media last week, so...how do you feel about what you did?”
Kenzi shrugged her shoulders, “Look Colin…I want to go on the record and apologize to Mackenzie right now. I had no intention of doing anything to distract her out there. I just wanted to get a good close look at the match…one that I felt she had in the bag.”
Colin shook his head, “It really looked like you were trying to get in the ring. The two of them dropkicked you off the apron to stop you from getting involved.”
Kenzi laughed Colin’s question off, “Look! I just tried to get a good look and give Mackenzie the encouragement to do what I did at Validation…defeat Keira Fisher. Obviously, she didn’t want or feel as though she needed my encouragement. So…she ended up losing to a woman I handily defeated at the biggest PPV of the year.” Kenzi turned to the camera and shrugged, “Sorry Mack…but…I guess you’re just the latest victim of LAW’s inexplicable Keira Fisher Bandwagon Ride. I tried to warn you that you’d be rolled over if you didn’t keep your eyes open…but…you didn’t listen.” Kenzi shrugged her shoulders, then turned her attention back to Colin, “Oh well, it’s not like Mack really cares anyway. All she wants is a nice cushy opponent for her next title defense…she’s okay with being a loser until the title is on the line. That goes double as long as its not against someone like me...who can get the job done against lesser competition.”
Colin shifts gears, “Let’s talk about LAW’s next event. It was announced tonight that you actually will be getting a QOTR opportunity at LAW 49 when you take on Mindy De Santiago. You have to be excited about that…it’s exactly what you said you deserved.”
Kenzi glared at Colin, then tapped him rudely on his forehead. “You haven’t been listening, have you? I DO deserve opportunity…but I shouldn’t have to ‘prove’ myself in some tournament when I have already proven myself against a 2-Time Breakout Champion! I don’t know who is behind this bullshit effort to force Keira Fisher down everyone’s throats…making her out to be World Championship material after I beat her ass and made her quit…but it’s getting on my last fucking nerve!” Kenzi rolled her eyes, balling up her fists as she attempted to calm herself, “I could blow through that tournament like THAT!” Kenzi snapped her fingers, “…but why do I have to? Keira doesn’t have to ‘prove’ herself! She gets put in main event matches and pushed to the moon…but I’m not on the show at all? I had to come here and crash the fucking party to even be heard! Then…I find out that I am on the midcard at LAW 49?” Kenzi threw up her hands, “WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!” Kenzi chuckled, “I hope that our new GM sees the bias that I am STILL getting and she recognizes that the star of the show is being unfairly treated…yet again!”
Colin scratches his head, “Kenzi…if you win the QOTR, you get an automatic shot at the World Title…”
Kenzi arched her eyebrow at him, “Colin…I don’t need to go through the QOTR to get anything at all! If the woman I beat…straight up doesn’t have to be in the QOTR…then neither should I!”
Colin looked confused, “So…are you refusing to be in QOTR?”
Kenzi laughed, “NO! I'm not selfish! My fans will turn the channel if I am not on the show...so I owe it to them. Plus, if LAW is dying for me to be in it to up their ratings…whatever! But I will say this…I have nothing at all against Mindy…but if she walks her ass down to that ring at LAW #49…she is going to get the exact same treatment as I gave to Alexis Blake tonight! I will beat her fucking ass black and blue and do what I always do…make an impact!”
Kenzi got up on her tippy toes and kissed Colin on the cheek, then swatted him on his behind as she gave him a wink, walking off as the interviewer blushed.
