“Oni” Kymiku Shinsuzuki: Page 36
Oni Kymiku managed to beat the odds and win the LAW Title Tournament, claiming the title that was vacated after Evie Taylor was forced to vacate the belt, due to injury. Now that she is champion, she finds herself still fighting an up hill battle against the legacy of past champions, injury, and a host of contenders looking to cut her reign short. Coupled with a tumultuous life outside the ring, can Oni cement her place as one of LAW’s great champions?
Stopping The United Sisters of Asia: Page 7
With Oni winning the LAW Title and her sister, Nyako retaining the Marquee title at Rising Stars, USA became a dominant force in the federation. Despite the apparent losses of Miyoko Oshiro and Serizawa, the sister duo has continued to rack up impressive wins over the competition. With LAW stars lining up to be the next in line to challenge them, we take a look at the roster, from bottom to top, to see who has the best chance to dethrone USA…and who has no chance at all.
Faction Wars?: Page 10
With USA representing the Asian contingent of LAW, they have spurred interest in the creation of other ‘super groups’ within the organization. There has been talk of a UK version coming together, which could tip the balance of power within LAW. Should such a faction be created, it would be interesting to see what side of the fence Alex Yin landed on, with her UK roots. Along with that, no battle for national pride in LAW would be complete without representation from the US…the only question is, who would join it?
Mackenzie Roberts: Page 40
Mackenzie was on quite a roll until she lost in the finals of the LAW Title tournament. With that loss being the biggest of her career, is the ‘Queen Bitch’ gearing up to come back even stronger than before? Mackenzie barely loss her match against Oni, and she certainly left her mark on the new champion, putting her appearance on LAW 23 in doubt. Mackenzie seems more than ready to take another run at the title…and she isn’t letting anything or anyone stand in her way!
Fujiko Mine: Page 22
‘Lady Luck’ came within a inches of taking the Marquee Title from Nyako at Rising Stars. While she didn’t take the loss well, she didn’t sit back and do nothing about it. Fujiko signed a contract to face Mackenzie Roberts at LAW 23…in a match that could put her right back into the title picture. Fujiko has been impressive up until this point and now she stands ready to take one more giant step that will once again make her a number one contender in LAW!
