After the tag team match Mackenzie Roberts walked into the back her Marquee title slung over her shoulder. She had a pissed off look on her face as she got into the locker room. She slammed the title down and looked down at the ground. She took a deep breath and leaned back on one of the locker. She reached up and took her hair down sweat was pouring down her face. The door opened and Kate Steele walked in she had a look of shock on her face as she walked over to Mackenzie. She patted her back and shook her head.
Kate Steele: Sorry…
Mackenzie took a deep breath and looked at her best friend in the face and shook her head.
Mackenzie Roberts: For what?
Kate Steele: For getting pinned. I should have fought harder and kicked out.
Mackenzie sighed as she reached down and grabbed her title and put it back on to her shoulder.
Mackenzie Roberts: Don’t be sorry Kate, it happens. No reason to be mad over anything. Next time we will get them.
Mackenzie sat down as Kate stood standing looking at her best friend. She took a deep breath and patted Mackenzie on the back again.
Kate Steele: Are you okay?
Mackenzie sighed and took a deep breath.
Mackenzie Roberts: Not really…no…
Kate Steele: Why? You can talk to me Kenzie, is it because of the match we just had? Is it Mari?
Mackenzie shook her head.
Mackenzie Roberts: It is neither one of those. Look, we lose matches from time to time. You know how much I dislike tag matches anyways. Ever since I have been here in LAW when I get into tag matches it never turns out well. Also stop thinking that it’s your fault we lost, I was distracted as well. It is not Mari either, she is the love of my life Kate and nothing is ever going to change that. She always puts a smile on my face no matter what my mood is. She can say something funny or do something funny and I fall in love even more.
I need to ask you something Kate.
Kate Steele: Anything Kenzie.
Kate sat down next to her and smiled as she looked at her.
Mackenzie Roberts: How would you feel if you held a title longer than anyone else in this company and you never really get a congrats or a pat on the back?
Kate Steele: Are you still on this?
Mackenzie, to be honest you need some tough love right now. Yes, you ARE the greatest champion that this company has ever seen but you need to be humble about it. Yes, you deserve the congrats as well but if you don’t get it why does it matter? Why do you need to have that validation of people slapping you on the back and shaking your hand and hugging you? You are good and you know it, you don’t need people telling you that. All you need to do is go into that ring and do what you do best. No matter what happens, no one will be able to take away what you have done already. That should be all that matters.
She smiled again and looked at Mackenzie. Mackenzie looked bad and slowly nodded her head. She looked at her title and smiled.
Mackenzie Roberts: I guess it is good enough Kate. But…
…But I want to be recognized because it makes me feel good. I have always looked for acceptance and yes growing up I always had friends but I just never thought that I was good enough for them. I always thought I was brought a long just to shut me up. When I finally won a title here I thought I would have been accepted but to me I haven’t been. That is why I have and always will fight hard to keep this title. No matter what happens I just don’t think I’m good enough.
Kate Steele: Come on Mackenzie!
Kate got back up and clinched her fist.
Kate Steele: Keep being good, don’t worry about what anyone else thinks. You STILL have the Marquee title, you are close to holding that title for a year. That is what should matter. Just keep being you, and you will open doors.
She smiles as she turns on her heels and opens the door.
Kate Steele: No more of this moping around, you have a title to defend at Night of Glory, and if you win I bet people will start talking about you.
She nods her head as she walks out of the door. Mackenzie looks at her leaving then back at her title and nods her head as the scene fades.

Mackenzie Roberts sat in her house. She smiled as she looked at the camera. Next to her on the couch was her LAW Marquee title. She took a deep breath and ran her hand over it.
Mackenzie Roberts: My next goal for this title is holding it for a year. That time is getting closer and closer, and all I have to do is keep on winning and I know I can do that even if no one has given me the congrats that I deserve.
She takes a deep breath again. She then clinches her fist and starts to speak again.
Mackenzie Roberts: I know I need to stop talking like that because everyone keeps telling me that I’m good enough. They keep telling me that no matter what happens they will be proud of me but I cannot take that, I need to keep winning I need to keep proving people wrong. This title means everything to me and if I ever lose it I don’t know what I would do. Yes, of course there is the LAW title but right now I don’t want that. I want to keep going with this record and make it an unattainable number that when I’m long gone no one will be able to touch. If I do that I will finally be proud of myself.
She stops and looks at the title once more and then runs her hands through her hair.
Mackenzie Roberts: Maybe that is the answer I’m not proud of myself.
That is a hard pill to swallow but I guess it is the truth. Maybe no matter what I do I will look in that mirror and tell myself that I am not good enough. When I go to the gym and hit it hard and feel good about myself there is a piece of me that will say no you could have gone harder, you could have done more. When I get into that ring and it takes me a little bit longer to put someone down I always think I could have done it faster. I know deep down that I have been a good champion and that no one will be able to touch my record. I just feel that I could do more that every step I take could be better. Night of Glory I need to be better because I need to beat Etsuko.
That name makes her cringe as she shakes her head. She leans closer to the camera as she grabs the title and puts it on her lap. The title is facing the camera so you can see the lights bouncing off of it and the name plate still reading Mackenzie Roberts.
Mackenzie Roberts: Etsuko, listen up closely.
You will NOT be able to beat me. What happened a couple weeks ago against the Naughty Girls isn’t going to happen again. My hand will be raised and you will not be able to distract me. You are going to be in the ring with me one on one and that is a huge problem for you. You are not as good as I am and sadly you are just like the Naughty Girls that I faced. Bad for womens wrestling.
She shakes her head as she moves her title off of her lap and back onto the couch.
Mackenzie Roberts: I know you have made a bad decision in your life to become a slave, or well someone that needs to wear a shock collar around her neck so that when she steps out of line a little shock is issued. Why is that even a thing are you that bad of a person that you need to be kept in line? When people see this they question your sanity, they wonder what the hell is wrong with this chick that she even allows this to happen. I find it sad as well because if you were a strong person that even had some damn self-respect you would have broken out of this cycle. But you don’t do you? You seem to like to be shocked but doesn’t that hinder what you want to do in that ring?
Etsuko, there is nothing hindering me in this match. When I get into that ring I become something, I become the person that doesn’t stop fighting and I get it you are the same way when that bell rings you want to win. It might be for bad reasons though. You want to make the person that holds the button of your shock collar happy, but aren’t you happy when you win? Now, I wasn’t so worried about you before until you stepped the game up and you distracted me. When you distracted me you made me realize that you will do whatever it takes to win, you saw the people that are like you were going to lose so you came out and distracted me and well the rest is history. You might not have not done that on your own but the problem is that you did it, and once you did that you made it well known that you wanted to beat me, so with that you were written down on my hit list.
She shakes her head and smirks a little bit.
Mackenzie Roberts: To me you now have two strikes, the first strike is that you have moved womens wrestling backwards, and second you have distracted me and made me lose a match. Right there makes me want to beat you, makes me want to teach everyone a lesson with you as the puppet and well as I have established you like being a puppet in some sick game.
The collar holds you back though right? Nikki holds that button and if you start to get out of control with punches and kicks and the match starts to become a brawl you get that little shock to the system so to speak, so that is something I have to expose right? I have to jump on you and beat you with fist after fist after fist to make you want to come back at me the same way and when that shock comes you will become weak. You will start to see that you cannot beat me and you will want to start getting me to the ground working on my legs and such, but there lies the problem Etsuko. I can fight on the ground as well if I get that Queen Bitch Clutch locked in no one can get out of it and you will be no different. That shock collar is going to be your downfall in this match.
She gets up and grabs her title and kisses it.
Mackenzie Roberts: Take a good look at this title Etsuko, you aren’t going to be taking it off of me. No one will, once I am sick of holding this title, which well will never happen is the only way I will give it up. You aren’t going to beat me and I will expose you as the sick joke that you are. You might have earned this opportunity and you might think that your chances are good at beating me but I am here to tell you that whatever notion you have of beating me will not happen. I will walk into that ring and I will pin you, or make you submit and I will be handed back my title and I will raise it high above my head.
My goal is to hold this title for a year and I will get there and Etsuko you are in the way of that and well if it was anyone else maybe you’d win but you are facing the best champion EVER in the HISTORY of LAW, and you are running into a buzzsaw, and the only shock that we will see is when Nikki hits the button because you aren’t shocking the world at Night of Glory, I’m winning which well shouldn’t be a surprise.
She winks and kisses her title as the scene fades to black.
