I feel like I got across what I wanted in my address to the LAW fans and all the women in the back. I meant every single word out there, that I am here to achieve my dream. I don’t care how long it takes me, one day I’m going to be at the top of the LAW mountain, and if I have to win a couple of other championships before I get to that level? Then so be it!
An opportunity is all I need, that’s what I said out there in front of everyone, and I promise that if I’m given one, I’ll make it count!
It’s moments after LAW #71 has gone off the air here in Chi-Town, I figured I’d stick around to support my fellow Angels, Zoey and Farrah and watch them face Team Kickass consisting of Kenzi Grey and Sarah Lacklan. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy watching Team Kickass get their asses kicked by my girlies.
Still dressed in my pair of black leather high heeled boots, a pair of skin tight black leather trousers, my brand new black ‘Unbreakable Angel’ T-shirt and my custom black leather jacket, I make my way out of the locker room and towards the parking lot when I’m stopped in my tracks by one of LAW’s interviewers, Carmen Diaz.
“Excuse me, Stacy? Can I get a quick interview with you before you leave?”
“Sure thing, Carmen, what do you want to know?”
“Well earlier tonight, you went out there in front of the LAW fans and basically put the entire LAW roster on notice, informing them of your intentions here. Is there anything else you’d like to add to that?”
“Nothing I can think of really. I said everything I wanted to say. I’m here to win championships...I’m here to win the big one some day...I’m here to make history and become a legend here in LAW. And whether it’s a friend, a foe or someone in between that is put in my way of achieving those goals? I’m going to give everyone I’m up against my all.”
“Speaking of legends, Mackenzie Roberts was the latest inductee who will be joining Violet Ripley, Nyako and Oni Kymiku in LAW’s Hall of Fame, is that something you’d like to achieve yourself?”
I smile and nod at this question.
“Absolutely, Carmen. The Hall of Fame is the pinnacle of wrestling, and anyone who makes it in there is a bonafide legend and certainly deserves to be there. If I were able to say that I was joining those four phenomenal ladies, it would be an honor and a privilege. Of course, there are plenty of women here who have been in this company longer and have already achieved so much and deserve to join them so I know it’s going to be a long time before I’m even considered, but I’m happy to focus on the here and now and work my ass off, just like I always have done throughout my entire career to earn such an accolade.”
“Well before I let you go, Stacy, I have some news from the office of Megan Helms-King pertaining to LAW #72…”
Raising my eyebrow in curiosity, I fold my arms across my stomach.
“Oh?”
“Indeed. As you know, at Night Of Glory IV, Gabby Camacho will be facing Amy Jo Smyth for the LAW World Championship after winning the Queen of the Ring tournament 2017…”
I nod while listening intently.
“...and with LAW #72 being the final show before said Pay-Per-View, both Gabby and Amy have picked each other’s opponents for said show and they will battle in a double Main Event, and the champion picked you to be her challengers opponent.”
My jaw drops and my eyes widen in absolute shock.
“Wait...Amy Jo Smyth picked me to face Gabby Camacho at the next show in one of the Main Events?”
Carmen nods as she chuckles a little at my reaction. After a few moments of allowing myself to process the news, my expression turns serious now.
“Well then, I guess I’ve got the opportunity that I asked for. Time to see how the real Queen of the Ring final would have gone.”
And with that, I nod to Carmen, thanking her for the interview before I walk past her, continuing on my way to the parking lot.
To say I’m excited about this match would be an understatement. Getting the number one contender for the LAW World Championship in a one on one match is exactly the kind of opportunity I wanted.
And you can bet your asses I’m going to take it!
Opportunity comes in many forms, and in the wrestling business, people like myself and my opponent for LAW #72, we earn our opportunities where others take opportunities by using underhanded tactics. Gabby Camacho earned the opportunity to challenge Amy Jo Smyth at Night Of Glory IV for the LAW World Championship after winning the Queen of the Ring tournament 2017.
And then, on the other side of things, Sarah Lacklan, a woman who both Gabby and I have major issues with, she took the opportunity to challenge Crystal Hilton for the LAW Marquee Championship after she cheated her way into the final of the tournament with Gabby, me being the one who got screwed in the process.
So now here at LAW #72, the fans are going to get to see what the Queen of the Ring 2017 final should have been. Stacy Jones vs. Gabby Camacho. And I’m not going to allow this opportunity to pass me by.
The camera comes to life as I’m here at my hotel room in Columbia, South Carolina, dressed in a pair of dark blue denim jeans and a black Batman hoodie with my hair tied up in a little bun. Once I’m happy with the position of the camera, I take a seat on the black leather sofa and I bend my legs up onto it so I’m comfortable.
“It’s kind of ironic how at LAW #71, I came out to put the entire LAW roster on notice that with my bitter rival, Sylvia Lopez being fired from the company and out of my life forever, I now have no distractions in my way of climbing up the proverbial ladder of success here, and all I needed was an opportunity…”
A large smile appears on my face, showing off my pearly white teeth, I’m super excited about this match.
“The interesting thing about this though is I don’t have Lucas Dupree or Megan Helms-King to thank, but I have to thank Amy Jo Smyth as it’s a Pick Your Poison match. So Amy picked me to face Gabby where Gabby picked my fellow Angel and Marquee Champion, Crystal Hilton to face Amy.”
I shake my head a little, chuckling to myself, I still can’t get over the fact that I’ve got this match.
“Not only that, but this is my first Main Event match here in LAW and to say I’m excited about it is an understatement.”
Gently scratching the side of my nose, I keep my attention focused on the camera.
“Gabby? The word respect is thrown around a lot in this industry, and honestly, not many people are genuine about it, but when it comes to me, I always mean it. Not only do I respect you as a competitor inside the squared circle, but I also respect you for serving our country in the war on terror. I’ve met many men and women who have served us and no matter how many times my fans call me their hero, I always say that those service men and women are the true heroes, as are the many sick kids that I meet on a daily basis. But back to the point, that being that I respect you a lot and I’m looking forward to locking horns with you inside that ring.”
I rest my right arm on the top of the couch, my expression now turning serious.
“But make no mistake about it, Gabby...as much as I may respect you, that doesn’t mean I’m not going to give you everything I have in that match. You see, as I mentioned earlier, this is a massive opportunity for me. I’m facing the number one contender for the LAW World Championship. I understand that this is going to be my toughest match I’ve had to date during my short time here at LAW. And I also understand what it would mean for me if I am able to defeat you at LAW #72.”
Placing my feet down on the hardwood floor now, I lean forward slightly.
“And despite me being thankful to Amy for giving me this opportunity, I’m not going out there to do her a favor by maiming or beating you so bad that you’re not going to be one hundred percent for your title match. That’s not the kind of person I am. I’m simply going to go out there to try and beat you to help me advance my own career. Because I know how much beating you will do for me here given your current position.”
I rest my elbows on my thighs and smirk a little.
“Another reason why I’m looking forward to this match is because of the simple fact that I just want to see how the true Queen of the Ring final would have gone. I’d imagine you saw what happened to me in the semi-final match against Sarah? How Kenzi Grey and Sylvia Lopez screwed me over when I had that match won. I’m not usually one to dwell on past matches but considering how huge that opportunity was for me, I still have a bitter taste in my mouth about it.”
Shaking my head, remembering that night, I take a deep breath in and slowly exhale, calming myself down.
“That’s something we have in common isn’t it, Gabby? Our shared hatred of Sarah Lacklan and her self-proclaimed Cool Kids. To which I honestly don’t blame you for staying off of social media, I’d be lying if I said that there hasn’t been days where I’ve considered deactivating my Twitter account due to the amount of bullshit that I see on there. And then the ‘Cool Kids’ claim that they’ve broken me simply because I blocked all of their stupid asses because I don’t want to have to deal with their pathetic, petty insults. That’s another thing I respect about you, how you just like to get into that ring and let your wrestling do the talking, that’s what I like to do. I don’t have time to pay attention to the garbage that constantly spews out of the mouths of those bitches, I’m here to win matches and championships and to become a legend here in LAW.”
I stand to my feet and make my way over to the camera, staring right into the lens as I do so.
“So Gabby, you better be prepared for the fight of your life on November 5th, because I’m giving you everything I’ve got. See you then, honey…”
And with that, I blow a kiss into the camera before switching it off, causing the screen to cut to black.
Opportunities are given to those who deserve it, and whether some people may not believe I deserve this opportunity, I believe that I do. I’m going to make the most out of it, I’m not going down without a fight!
There’s a reason why people call me Unbreakable!
An opportunity is all I need, that’s what I said out there in front of everyone, and I promise that if I’m given one, I’ll make it count!
