PROLOGUE
To say that Ashley had a rivalry with Sam Tolson was an understatement. What had started off as a professional rivalry had soon turned personal enough when Sam took it upon herself to seduce Katie Anderson, Ashley’s fiancée.
The two of them seemingly loved every minute of what they had done, without even the slightest sense of real remorse shown from either of them. However, Ashley had been hit hard and would never be the same woman again. However, then came the news that she had got her wish, a match against the very “woman” who had stolen her love away. The sad fact remained though that Ashley didn’t really care anymore, she had lost and Sam had taken everything away from her in one fell swoop. Ashley’s priorities laid elsewhere, namely the Tag Team Championships that she and Angelica Vaughn had just narrowly lost out on, more importantly, titles they weren’t even being considered for.
SCENE ONE: Everybody Hurts
LOCATION: Ashley’s Parent’s Home

1992: Michael Stipe
Everybody had gone to bed, Angie had gone onto wherever it was she was spending Christmas and Ash’s parents had gone to bed. It was five minutes to twelve on Christmas eve night and Ashley was sitting in the back garden, in front of the remains of what had, earlier that evening, been the roaring fire where they had all sat together, drinking a few beers and celebrating the birth of Christ. Now however, she was alone again, should have been getting used to that in fact, yet it still prickled at her eyes. Sipping at the beer in her hand, she let the first tear fall, not even bothering to fight it now.
She was a mess and she knew it, she had let her personal life get in the way of her business life, something that she swore she would never allow to happen. The beer offered some comfort but she knew she was even allowing that to dictate her life, to the point where she was actually beginning to experience pains in her stomach. Pancreatitis, they called it, that was what she was at most risk from if she didn’t quit the booze. However, tonight was not the night she was going to quit alcohol, no, tonight she was going to drink until she passed out in a drunken stupor.
Opening another bottle, checking in the box to find she still had a good supply, she took a huge gulp out of it before settling it down on the ground next to her, watching the yellow and red flicker of the nearly dying fire. Placing another kindling on it, she rubbed her hands together to keep warm as fresh tears began to fall.
Walking into the kitchen and up to the guest room, which ironically had once been her room, she rifled through the drawers, finding every photo she could, bringing them downstairs and thumbing through them until she found the first one she wanted, a picture of her and Katie together when they had been happier, she looked at it with a smile as tears continued to fall, hesitating, she thumbed it as a fondness washed over her, finally throwing it onto the fire, erasing it from history forever. She followed suit with every photo of her with Katie and then following suit with the ones of her and Emma Haynes together. She’d been another ex that Ash had failed with, her drunkenness killing another great chance at happiness.
She saw one of the actual happier moments of her life since returning to wrestling, a photo of her and Angelica together, a promo shoot they had taken together when the QoW had been just a pipe dream. Fresh tears fell as she went to throw it on the fire, wanting to erase every part of the past. She couldn’t though, this photo truly made her happy, although her and Angie didn’t see nearly enough of each other anymore. Placing it as well as a few others on the ground next to her, she took another few sips of her beer, taking the photos back inside, finding her father there, looking sternly at her.
Robert Moore
”Why are you still up, Carebear? It’s Christmas morning later this morning and we need you up and at ‘em, not nursing a hangover.”
Ashley Williams
”Nothing Daddy, just drinking myself to sleep and pondering what a failure I am” She said with the falsest smile she could muster. Her father taking her by the shoulder and leading her out to the garden, sitting with her as he took a bottle for himself and grabbed her another one.
Robert Moore
”You’re not a failure, you’ve just made some bad personal decisions recently, that’s partly to blame, you know that, right?” He said as he pointed to the beer that she was currently necking.
Robert Moore
”Look, you know you weren’t without blame for what happened to you and Katie, even I could see you weren’t treating her right, you lost yourself to drink, Carebear and Katie was a casualty of it, the same with Emma. You know I am saying this out of love for you, but you know it’s true. This isn’t you, Aislynn, you’re a professional wrestler and up until a few months ago, you were a darn good one. It’s time to get back to that. I’m hoping that you burning those photographs is a sign of things to come, Carebear, I really do. The last thing we need is a repeat of a couple of years ago. Nobody’s perfect, darlin’ But you need to get yourself back on track, you need to stop holding onto this bitter resentment, ‘cos it ain’t gonna win her back and you know it. You have a young lady, a friend, who cares about you, surely you can see that, right?”
Ashley Williams
”If she actually cared so much, why does she only ever bother with me when she needs to conduct Queens business? Nobody gives a shit about me, Daddy!”
Robert Moore
”You don’t mean that, Aislynn, please don’t say that about Angelica, you know she cares, you can’t expect her to just drop everything for you.”
Ashley Williams
”You mean like I did, Daddy? Letting her move in with me, offering to train her when she was just some waif sitting out on the streets? I then bought her a car and a new damn home, now she can barely bear to be seen with little old alcoholic Aislynn Moore!” She said as she necked the rest of the bottle, grabbing another one before her father could stop her.
Ashley Williams
”My own personal drama has led to pretty much everyone walking out of my life and I’m sick of it Daddy, I’m sick of people wanting me around when they can get something out of me, just to take a heaping shit on me when I run out of uses! I am far better than this! Those people don’t fucking deserve me in their lives and that includes Angelica Vaughn! I have had enough of playing second fiddle and LAW will be the first to learn that!” She said as she necked the next bottle in one long gulp, letting out a long burp before taking another bottle, offering her father a wry smile.
Robert Moore
”I’ll let you drink, only because it’s Christmas, but you need to take that back about Angelica. She was here for Christmas Eve, that shows how highly she thinks of you. You need friends in this business, babe…..Right now, she may be the only one you still have. Everybody else wants your head and I’m sorry, but after the way you’ve acted, I can’t really say I blame them. You need to have a long, hard think about your feelings for Angelica because she genuinely loves you as a friend.”
Ashley Williams
”I guess you’re right, Daddy, same as always. I’m just getting bitter about anything and everything, it has got to stop, but first I need to get back into training and get into showing LAW and Sam Tolson exactly just who I am, because I am not this pathetic drunk and I am certainly not this pathetic little bird who allows someone like Katie Anderson or Emma Haynes to break her wings and leave her dying in the snow. First I need to kick this alcohol habit. Can we agree that I can drink up until New Years’ Day and then I kick it in the butt?”
Robert Moore
”You can drink up until New Years’ then you give it up, it’s either that or I’m marching you into rehab myself, then you will miss a lot of your career, ‘cos nobody is gonna sign a contract for a rampaging drunk that could be a danger to not only herself, but the people she is in the ring with, do you understand me, Carebear? Now, let’s have a couple drinks together and talk about happier times, yeah? Do you still speak to that Emily girl? Lawrence is it?” He said, grabbing another two beers.
Ashley Williams
”I still have feelings for her, but I’ve met a new friend, Abigail Lindsay. She’s beautiful but more importantly she’s a lot of fun, I view her as a friend more than anything. I was going to ask you if she could visit for New Years’, actually.”
Robert Moore
”Of course she can, will Angie be showing up?”
Ashley Williams
”I think she’s busy with other stuff, besides, she visited earlier, I should be thankful for that, I guess.” She said with a smile, taking another sip of her beer. The night continued on with father and daughter talking about everything from her personal problems to the score of the Rangers game a week previous, both of them getting steadily drunk as they shared laughs and stories, Ash beginning to feel a damn sight better about herself than she had the whole evening into the early morning.
SCENE TWO: Judas
LOCATION: LAW Backstage Area

2017: Chris Jericho
We go live to the backstage area in LAW, where Ashley Williams is waiting with a microphone in hand, she is wearing completely new attire, this time incorporating full length tights, QoW crowns down one side and a skeletal demon down the other side, matched with a black singlet style training bra. Bringing the camera up to her ruby tinged lips, she begins to speak, the venom dripping as if from concealed fangs.
Ashley Williams
”So, it has all come down to this, Tolson VS Williams, a match that I tried to make, professionally, months ago. Of course, I then got distracted with more important business, namely the LAW tag team titles with my partner, Angelica Vaughn.”
She adjusts her wrist tape before taking a sip of her water.
Ashley Williams
”Of course, in that time, you decided to be at your despicable best, didn’t you? You seduced an engaged woman and somehow convinced her to sleep with you behind my back, making this match a damn sight more personal than it ever needed to be, but I am here to do one thing, Tolson, I am here to forgive you. You gave her the one thing I never could and that was love. I didn’t love her nearly as much as she deserved and from the bottom of this rotten heart, I actually wish you both the best. However…….
Professionally, I have no respect for you, I have seen you time and time make excuses for why you lose matches, rather than actually giving your opponent the respect they actually deserve for beating you in the first place. You are the most disingenuous wrestler I know and trust me, I know me. All I see is you flapping your gums about how you’re going to destroy Angelica Vaughn, yet here she stands, still breathing, still smashing Voidstar in his rotten teeth with a chair. I sincerely hope that you plan to destroy me because so far you’re doing a great job of it with my little tag team partner, as you called her on twitter. Funny, that seems to be the only place you can actually bang on about irrelevant shit.
I’m not going to bang on about how you made this personal because as I said, I am over that, but what I am going to say is that with all your little threats about picking the bones that Anna Matthews was supposed to leave, you do not even know what the hell you have just awakened. Do you think I got into this sport to post scantily clad pictures with half my tits hanging out on twitter? No, I got into this business to beat the hell out of people and prove to people just why the hell I used to be called The Future of Female Wrestling! All I ever see from you is Fujiko Friday and Treat Thursday, which says to me that you are one of the very real Barbie Girl models I despise. I could care less about these supposed titles you’ve won because as far as I could see, particularly on LAW, you never defended the damn things, aside from that time when Roxy Cotton humiliated you after all your self righteous bullshit about the type of person she is. Here’s one thing she isn’t, a fiancée stealing homewrecker. Oops, I said I wasn’t going to bring that up again.”
She paused again, taking a sip of her drink before speaking again.
Ashley Williams
”I hope you are listening loud and clear, Tolson, because I am about to give you a treat alright and it is in the form of my right fist fitting ever so nicely down your throat. This match needs to be falls count anywhere, it needs to be no holds barred, it ideally should have never been sanctioned because trust me, you stupid bitch, I am going to beat you within an inch of your life and then if I so fancy it, I’m going to take that extra inch. You are witnessing the second coming of Ashley Williams, a new and improved, off the alcohol Ashley Williams. An Ashley Williams that is going to render you unconscious inside that very ring when I lay you out with my Erase/Rewind. You will be my example to the rest of the idiots in the LAW roster that I am not taking anymore bullshit from anyone. I am sorry that it had to come down to this, Tolson, because there was a time we used to be friends, now however, you are just somebody that I used to know. Trust me when I say that I meant every word I just said, even the parts about you and Katie. This is nothing personal, it is just the second coming of a wrestler that never should have lost her way in the first place. Prepare for the fight of your life, Tolson, because you are going to get it, this a fight that neither of us will ever walk away from the same. I am going to take years off your career and I expect the same of you. Tolson, if you don’t put me down first time, expect hell to pay!”
With this, she put the microphone down on the seat and took her gym bag, walking off down the corridor to her locker room.
