Angelica’s apartment
Angelica had never been this nervous upon looking at one of the LAW cards. Sure, she’d been in some big matches. Her title match against the Boardwalk Angels might have been the biggest so far, but that was something she and Ash had worked towards for months. While it had been a monumental occasion, it hadn’t exactly come as a surprise. Fans and media alike had practically guaranteed them number one contendership after throwing in their support behind the QoW after a string of impressive victories that slowly but surely had pushed them to the top. It was a match that had had a slow build-up, with the climax being a logical conclusion she felt more than prepared for at the time.
This, however, was much different. A match against the L.A.W. champion herself: Gabby Camacho. A three-time LAW Champion wasn’t something you became through luck or coincidence. Only skill, perseverance and raw talent could lift someone up to that particular level. Angelica was ashamed to say she didn’t really know much about Gabby other than her list of accomplishments, long though it was. It was mostly because Gabby was flying so high above her radar that she had barely noticed her up until now. While Angelica had been scrapping for a shot at tag gold with Ash, Gabby had been flying high in Queen of the Ring tournaments and winning title matches… a feat Angelica hadn’t accomplished yet so far.
She sat in her couch, zapping between channels with sir Bobby, one of her cats, purring on her lap. She stroked her pet absent-mindedly, the touch of his thick winter coat soothing and comforting; the frequencies of his loud purrs calming and relaxing. And yet, her mind was racing. She eventually decided TV wasn’t going to distract her and turned it off. She had already watched every match of Gabby she could get her hands on, had scouted her thoroughly. But something was still nagging at her. Was she actually good enough? Was she ready for a challenge such as this one?
She wanted to say yes. Because she believed it. But there was something else eating away at her, digging its way into her brain like a splinter, driving her mad.
Why me?
Sir Alex, her other cat, jumped on the couch as well, started to headbutt Angie’s arm, demanding attention. He seemed jealous of sir Bobby’s comfy resting place and hissed at his rival. Angie shushed him and grabbed him underneath his front legs, lifting him up and onto her shoulder, tightly hugging him and using his fur as a little pillow. She seemed to like the constriction, starting to purr even louder than sir Bobby. This time, it burrowed straight into her brain, allowing her to focus more clearly. Cat purrs were, after all, the world’s best white noise.
Why me? she thought again. The way she saw it, there were two explanations for her being booked in this particular match. The first was straightforward.
Lucas Dupree and Megan Helms-King needed someone to make their coveted LAW Champion look strong. After Amy Jo Smyth’s defeat, she was now at the top of the mountain and supposed to be the biggest draw in the company. However, Kenzi, Sarah, Roxy and even Mili had all said that she wasn’t a draw at all, that she was dragging LAW down rather than uplifting it like a true champion should. Angie was quite popular, the merch sales and the numerous opportunities all over the world speaking for themselves. However, Angelica was quite possibly the world’s greatest choke artist, having come up short in every single match for gold she had ever competed in. Lucas and Megan undoubtedly knew this, and decided to turn some of that #Vaughnemous popularity into money and credibility for their champion, who they were certain would defeat a competitor who, in their eyes, was overrated. That way, it’d be a win-win situation for them.
The other explanation was more optimistic. Maybe Lucas saw something in Angelica. A spark that needed igniting. And what better way to set off a chain reaction than by kickstarting it with what would be one of the biggest wins in her young career? This was an opportunity for Angelica to prove herself, to show that she COULD roll with the best in the company. That despite some setbacks in moments when it mattered most, the potential was there; and that Angelica’s shoulders were strong enough to maybe even carry the future of the entire company if given enough encouragement and opportunity. She was young but charismatic; loved and adored by hordes of fans for her good-natured spirit and unrelenting bubbly optimism. She sold tickets, brought in fans and even inspired new talent to sign a contract at Ladies Allstar Wrestling. She was the type of character you could use as a foundation for years to come, one who would represent the company with pride and dignity and shoulder the heaviest of burdens with a radiant smile.
The latter explanation was exactly what her agent would say, not in the least because it was what she wanted to hear. What she wanted to believe.
No.
What she needed believe. Angelica knew very well that self-doubt had only led to defeat in the past. She was stronger and better than she gave herself credit for.
The former explanation was one she had to prevent from becoming a reality. She was better than Camacho-fodder. She was an up and coming star, but she also realized that she was going to have to produce something special. And not just in the ring. Her agent had more than once told her that her social media game was solid and laid a good foundation for her overall popularity, but that wrestling promoters needed, or even craved, the spoken word in equal measure. Mic skills they called them, the key to convincing a crowd that your match is worth watching; and the key to convincing your opponent that they’re going to lose. It was essential for getting into someone’s head, but unfortunately that was a part of Angelica’s game she found to be sorely lacking. But still, if she wanted a head start on Gabby, there was no time like the present.
She lifted her head up and gently put sir Alex on the couch next to her. She slowly rose, causing sir Bobby to wake up. He jumped off her lap, yawned and stretched his legs before tripping towards his food bowl for a snack. Angelica walked to her bedroom, retrieving her tripod with a camera on it and positioned herself in front of an improvised green screen she had set up for impromptu promotional purposes like this one.
Angelica: Right… Let’s do this.
She took a deep breath and had a look in the mirror. Her make-up and hair were still on point from this morning. She brushed a few cat hairs off of her sweater and repositioned herself in front of the lens, satisfied with her appearance before pressing the record button and taking a step backwards.
Angelica: I…
A pause. And silence. An awkward silence as Angelica searched for the right words that would put Gabby Camacho in her place, the words that would instil fear into her heart, the words that would make her quiver with fear to step in between those ropes.
Angelica: Gabby Camacho, I…
It was like the words were stuck in her throat. If they even got that far. The gears in her brain were turning, but weren’t producing anything. She felt like a right fool, standing here like this. She sighed and shook her head. She had no idea what to say to Gabby that would give her a clear advantage.
She turned the camera off again and pouted, walking back to her living room. She heard the soft crunches of sir Bobby eating his cat munchies and walked over to her furry little friend. She crouched down next to him, scratched him behind the ear and smiled.
Angelica: Mommy don’t know what to say, sir Bobby! She’s facing the LAW Champion, but doesn’t know what to do!
Sir Bobby looked up from his bowl for a second and meowed, as if to acknowledge her annoyance. He then dug back into his munchies and Angelica got back up. As she moved towards the couch, sir Alex followed her and as she sat herself back down, immediately jumped onto her lap to claim the sleeping spot that his rival had claimed earlier. Content, he started purring and rested his head on her legs as Angie rubbed his chin, much to his enjoyment.
Angelica: Yes, sir Alex, we need some help, I think! Mommy needs to deliver a good promo or the bosses will be upset. Think we should ask auntie Ash for help?
Sir Alex looked up at her and smacked his lips, whatever that meant. Angelica knew Ashley was preoccupied however. Her tag team partner had her own fish to fry as she was both preparing to face Sam Tolson and gearing up for some championship opportunities outside of LAW. She could use her help right about now, but she wanted to give Ash the space she needed to properly prepare to face her own personal demons. If she was going to be successful down the line, she couldn’t rely on Ash all the time. Her mentor was already a crutch to her most of the time and knew that Ash would come running if she asked. But Angie felt guilty about even thinking to absorb all of her free time.
Angelica: No, auntie Ash is way too busy preparing for that mean Sam Tolson and stuff! How about Roxa-… I mean Roxy?
Sir Alex yawned. As much as she adored cats, their bad breath wasn’t particularly pleasant. She recoiled in slight disgust, trying not to breathe through her nose until the odor had faded. But still, the message seemed clear enough.
Angelica: I guess you’re right, Roxy is way too mean. I could never say the things she says. Besides, she hasn’t spoken to me much recently. I don’t think she’d jump at the opportunity to help me out.
Roxy was of course a trash talker that knew no equal, but Angelica was worried that if she took too many pointers from the Bubblegum Bombshell she might end up just as reviled and hated by her peers and the fans (at least those with a conscience and moral standards). She liked Roxy of course, she was just a ‘big bubblegum of misunderstood’ according to her, but was absolutely terrified to be disliked by the fans or her fellow wrestlers. She didn’t have the mental fortitude of Kenzi, who laughed off such matters as if they were trivial and of zero consequence. Angie wished she could do that too.
Angelica: Oh! I have an idea. Let’s ask auntie Sarah! She has such a way with words, and is totes smart!
Sir Alex started licking her hand in response, which was enough indication to Angelica that Sarah was the right choice to ask for assistance. She hadn’t spent nearly as much time with her dear friend as she would’ve liked ever since her ‘accident’ and really missed her. They exchanged a lot of text messages, but nothing beat the real deal of course. Trapped in her wheelchair, Sarah was no longer the asskicking wrestling machine that Angelica had been in such awe of, but she WAS still a great friend, extremely smart and devout, and one of the very best talkers on the microphone she had ever heard. She figured Sarah would have time to spare and could do with a bit of a distraction to break the monotony of therapy. And, as always, would know EXACTLY what to say!
She whipped out her phone and drew up a text message.
Angelica: SAAAAAAAR?? 😊
It didn’t take long before she saw three dots at the bottom of the screen, running up and down horizontally to indicate someone was typing.
Sarah: ANGELICAAAAAAA?? 😊
Angelica smiled. Sarah always put her in a good mood right away.
Angelica: Hi! I hope you're doing well. 🤗 I erm... I'm in a pickle. Not literally. Figuratively. Weird expression, right? I heard Shakespeare came up with it but I don't know what it means, literally.
ANYWAAAAAY, I was hoping you could help me if you're free like tomorrow? I need someone of your particular talents.
ANYWAAAAAY, I was hoping you could help me if you're free like tomorrow? I need someone of your particular talents.
There was no immediate response like before. It took a while, so Angie started to worry she might have said something wrong, though she couldn’t quite figure out what. Maybe she had been too forward? Or was inconveniencing her? It was easy to forget who Sarah really was, at times. She sent another message to make sure she wasn’t trying to be pushy.
Angelica: I'll come over to Lacklanland obvs, if it's okay. I know your mobility is rather... limited these days. I wouldn't want to impose, buuuut... I really have no one else to turn to right now. 😟
Ah! The dots! There they were…
Sarah: You can turn to me at ALL TIMES! Do I need to beat someone up?! 😡
Angelica giggled. Sarah probably WOULD if she asked, despite her current situation.
Angelica: Oh! No! Nothing quite so drastic ^_^ Unless you can wiggle your toes and cast a spell that... No, never mind. You heard about my upcoming match at LAW, right?
Sarah: I CAN wiggle my toes, thank you very much 😒
I'll work on the spells 🤔
And obvs! You get to be the THIRD #CoolKid that the Gabster gets to lose to 🤗

Hmm. Sarah certainly seemed confident in Angelica’s abilities. Angie wasn’t sure if that was comforting or just another reason to be nervous. In any case, Sarah was clearly improving, which was good news.
Angelica: I heard! Congrats on the progress, I'm very glad. ^_^
As for progress, I haven't been making much myself unfortunately. I'm a bit nervous for this match and it's kinda like a big deal for me. I tried to do one of those promo thingies earlier my agent said I should do but I couldn't get any words out. Nothing I come up with seems good enough. Words and wit always seemed to come so naturally to you, so I was wondering if you could help me record a promo, like help me with the words and stuff? You know Gabby better than I do as well...

Sarah: Is there an emoticon for OMGYESTHATISTHEGREATESTIDEAEVERICANNOTWAIT 🤔🤔🤔
Angelica: Erm, not sure. There might be a gif though. 🤔🤔🤔
Sarah: I will have a software servant work on that. I cannot wait, Angelica! 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Ah! That was an obvious yes, then. Angelica was happy.
Angelica: Yaaaay! This is excellent news! 🤗 I'll ask my agent to book me a ticket on the first available flight. Expect me in the morning! Xoxo (as Roxy would say)
Sarah: Oh! Oh! Bring your kitties! #PetPlaydate 😮😮😮😮
Angelica: Totes! Gonna cuddle Lil Has until he's sick of me! 😊
Angelica put her phone down and looked at sir Alex, then at sir Bobby who had finished eating and was now sitting at her feet, wondering what he’d have to do to get his spot back.
Angelica: Well, my darling kitties! I hope you guys are ready for a bit of an adventure! We’re off to Lacklanlaaaaaand!
No matter how many times Angelica set foot in Lacklanland, it always felt like entering something out of a fairytale. The hallways, the gardens, the surrounding forests,... People called it a compound, but to Angelica it seemed more like a Disney castle. Everything was so richly and lavishly decorated that it was easy to understand why one would be swept away by the magnitude of it all. Angelica had only been her a handful of times, but it was strange how much it already felt like home. Nothing was quite so easy to get used to as luxury.
As she walked the broad halls of Sarah’s home, the many guards she encountered met her with a friendly greeting. The one at the gates had let her in without a moment’s hesitation, something she realized was a right reserved for very few. Every time she ran into another guard she took a good look at his face to see if maybe it was Bruce, Mili’s fiance, but she figured as head of security, he’d have more pressing matters than roaming the corridors.
As soon as she’d set foot inside she had let sers Bobby and Alex out of their cages. They’d been good little boys on the flight and ride over her but were obviously grateful they were allowed to stretch their legs again. Angelica had let them out in the limo ride on the way over her (Sarah enjoyed pampering her like that) but of course it was no match for the opportunity to run and play to their heart’s content. They were trailing her, occasionally sprinting forward only to stare at their mommy and then walk back or wait for her to catch up. Angie enjoyed watching them play like this, and things were only just about to get started.
Sarah had told her to wait for her in the grand foyer. She knew her way around the place well enough and soon reached the hall with its magnificent staircases. The front guard had radio’d on that Angie had arrived so she figured Sarah would show up within a matter of minutes. When she heard a loud cough echo throughout the foyer, she turned around, fully expecting to see Sarah, or even Mili, Bruce, Kenzi or Sidney. Instead, she stood face to face with an older man, who looked vaguely familiar. He was tall, probably over six foot, and had dark, sunken eyes. His hair was full of gray and nearly reached his shoulders.. Suddenly it dawned on Angelica where she’d seen him before: the Lacklanland Christmas Party! Angelica had caught him staring at her on numerous occasion, but he had vanished before she could confront him about it. There was something off about him, yet the tone he assumed when he started speaking was friendly enough. He even bowed his head slightly before addressing her.
??: Miss Vaughn. Please accept my sincere apologies if I startled you. I had no intention of creeping up behind you like this. Allow me to introduce myself… Sebastian Hargrave. … Former acting ruler of the sovereign nation of Lacklanland in our Lady’s stead. It’s a privilege to finally make your acquaintance.
The way he had uttered the word ‘former’ immediately sprang out. It’s almost as if he had to force it through his throat. He extended his hand, and Angelica, polite as ever, reached out to shake it. But instead he tenderly grabbed her by the wrist and lifted her hand to his mouth, softly kissing it like a true gentleman. Except that it kinda freaked Angelica out. She repressed an ‘EW!’ like a well-mannered girl, choosing to believe that in his circles this was considered a normal greeting and she didn’t want to cause any offense.
Angelica: Pleased to meet you, sir.
As she lied, Sebastian smiled. Sir Bobby, standing next to her, hissed at Sebastian, but Angie quickly shushed him.
Sebastian Hargrave: I have seen you before.
Angelica: At the Christmas party.
Sebastian Hargrave: So you remember. I’m glad to hear it. I’ve seen you before on television while you were at LAW with Lady Lacklan, but watching you up close and personal for the very first time proved to be… interesting.
It was an odd word choice, Angelica believed. Suddenly, another proverbial bell rang. ‘Hargrave’. She’d heard the name before. The person responsible for Sarah’s current predicament had also been called Hargrave. Family, she assumed. Maybe even his son? If that was the case, Angelica was surprised he was even still allowed on the premises.
Angelica: Thank you, sir. I admit I caught you, erm… staring a few times.
Sebastian Hargrave: I apologize if I made you feel uncomfortable.
‘You still are’, Angelica wanted to respond, but swallowed her words. Realizing he wasn’t going to get an answer, he resumed talking.
Sebastian Hargrave: I trust your family is doing well?
Angelica: I… assume they are. Or at least I hope so. I haven’t really talked to them in a while. I tried to get in touch with them for Christmas but they never answered. We’re not on the best of terms.
Sebastian Hargrave: You don’t say. Would it be rude for me to ask why that is?
‘Yes’, she wanted to say but chose to humor him, if it meant she could rid herself of him faster.
Angelica: They don’t really like the fact I chose to become a wrestler. They even kicked me out of the house for it. I tried to make amends but they think I’m some sort of demon or devil worshipper and that I hang out with Satan and his minions. Which is silly of course.
Sebastian Hargrave: They sound like… devout people.
Angelica: You could say that, although it doesn’t quite cover it.
Angelica nervously smiled, hoping for the conversation to end. She quickly looked over her shoulder hoping to see either Sarah or Kenzi to liberate her from his clutches, but all she saw was an empty foyer.
Sebastian Hargrave: Forgive me for saying this, but it immediately struck me how tall you are.
Angelica: I hear that a lot!
At least he complimented her on the feature she was most proud of. It made her feel a little bit better.
Sebastian Hargrave: An attribute you inherited from your father, I presume?
Angie shook her head.
Angelica: No, daddy is quite short. I get most things from my mother. She’s also quite tall. And I’ve got her eyes.
Sebastian Hargrave: And your remarkably pale skin? It’s white enough to rival that of… well, you know.
Angelica: I… really couldn’t say.
Sebastian Hargrave: Interesting…
He stroked his chin. It was the second time he’d used that word, but Angelica still had no idea why.
Sebastian Hargrave: Please tell me more about your m…
Sarah: SEBASTIAN!!!!!
A familiar voice cut through the room, striking them both like a thrown dagger. Angelica nearly jumped into the air and Hargrave looked up. Our leggy blonde turned around and indeed saw her friend in her wheelchair. Despite her condition, she was wearing the most beautiful clothes money could buy, and not a single strand of hair was out of place. The make-up on her face was done so professionally it looked like a whole team of Hollywood-level artists had worked on it for hours. Yes, despite her condition she still very much resembled the Firestarter that had struck fear into the hearts of so many.
Angelica: Saraaaah!
Angelica squee’d and hopped over the Sarah’s chair, grabbing her shoulders and pulling her in for a hug as tightly as their different levels of height allowed for without choking her out. Angelica held the hug for a while. She wondered why Sarah wasn’t hugging back, then realized it was probably because lifting her arms was too taxing. Completely understandable.
Sarah: Hello, dear Angelica.
As Angelica released the hug, her red eyes shot towards Hargrave. You are excused, Sebastian. Do not interrupt us any further today. We have work to do!
Her voice was stern and decisive, carrying the weight of a true leader. Hargrave looked upset, but he kept his mouth shut and walked off after a slight curtsey. As the echo of his footsteps faded, Sarah turned to Angelica again, her voice suddenly turning to a much more playful tone.
Sarah: Sorry for making you wait. I hope he didn’t annoy you too much. If you want I can have him beaten up!
Angelica wasn’t entirely sure whether Sarah was joking or not, but decided not to take any risks.
Angelica: Oh! No, that won’t be necessary.
Sarah: Shame!
Sarah’s eyes looked down at the floor, where Angelica’s cats were staring at her, their tails wagging with excitement. Angelica suddenly noticed that Lil Has, Sarah’s pet bunny, was sitting on her lap. He was easy to overlook, being so tiny.
Sarah: You brought your sers! Angelica, be a darling and put my baby on the ground so they can play, will you?
Angelica grabbed the tiny bun bun and couldn’t resist giving it a hug of her own before putting it down. It started hopping around Angelica’s cats with excitement and it didn’t take lake for them to start playing. Both girls smiled.
Angelica: They’re gonna have so much fun!
Sarah: I don’t doubt it. Now, the reason why you’re here… I had my serv… employees… prep a room for us to work in. Follow me. I also had them prepare you something to eat and drink, should you require it. Trust me, it’ll be---
Angelica: -amazeballz no doubt! Can’t wait! Let’s go!
Before Sarah could active her electric wheelchair, Angelica grabbed the handles and started pushing her. She felt it was the least she could do.
Angelica stood in front of a white wall, the pink-black L.A.W. logo decorating the middle. But instead of a flexing woman, the center of the L.A.W.-star was occupied by a familiar five foot ten rookie. She was shuffling her feet a bit, her eyes often darting to the side, not fully concentrating on the lens.
She raised her arm and pointed at the camera.
Angelica: Gabby Camacho! You… do the wrestling thing… very bad!
Sarah: Aaaaaand… CUT!
The background disappeared, turning back into the green screen while Sarah whistled through her teeth, having looked on.
Sarah: Wow, you weren’t kidding Ang.
Angelica stomped her foot on the ground.
Angelica: I knooooow! I mean, promo-ing against the Angels was easy! I knew them, I’d seen them in action plenty of times, we interacted, had history… Now, I got nothing! And I don’t want to simply talk trash about her because I don’t even know if it’s true and I don’t want to be mean! I wish I could just say nice things about her and be done with it, but the higher-ups seemingly all wants us to turn on each other and be nasty, otherwise we’re apparently not putting bums in seats! I kinda don’t like that, you know?
Sarah: I can empathize. To a degree.
Angelica: Some people say I’m just too nice for this profession. Maybe they’re right…
Sarah: Nonsense. You are perfect for this business and I’ll beat up anyone who says otherwise!
Sarah smiled and winked at Angie, putting her at ease.
Sarah: Now, let’s talk about the Gabster. Why are you so intimidated by the prospect of facing her?
Angelica: Well, she’s the main champion. She’s there for a reason?
Sarah: Is she, though? The only reason she’s there is because she beat the previous champion. Nothing more. That’s all she did: she beat another woman. And I think if we’re honest, Amy Jo Smyth can barely be considered much of a threat anymore these days. There is no reason you should fear her. Because you’re better than all of them!
Angelica: Oh gosh, I don’t know if that’s true, Sar.
Sarah: To hell with the truth, Angelica. The truth is what we say it is. We impose truth on others through our words. Claim you’re better. Say it with conviction! Make others believe it. Make your opponent believe it. And it shall be so. Oh! Oh! And make fun of her dumb hair and terrible shoes! Now… Ready for take two?
Angelica: I’ll try!
Angelica took a deep breath, closed her eyes and counted to ten.
Angelica stood in front of a white wall, the pink-black L.A.W. logo decorating the middle. But instead of a flexing woman, the center of the L.A.W.-star was occupied by a familiar five foot ten rookie. She was shuffling her feet a bit, but she looked straight into the lens, focused on the task at hand.
She slowly raised her arm, pointing right at the camera.
Angelica: Gabby Camacho… Ever since Night of Glory you have been top dog in this company. The one who sells the shows, the one with her face on the posters, the one who gets to wear the big, shiny belt around her waist.
You consequently seem to find yourself in the top tier of the card, always stealing the show, always being the main event.
But what you done REALLY? What have you done but ride the coattails of the true trailblazers, the ones who REALLY steal the show, the ones who REALLY put eyes on LAW, the ones who REALLY deserve to have their names on posters and billboards? What have you done, other than used their hard work as a launching pad to propel yourself to your ill-gotten throne?
But I love your hair! It’s like, really dark and flowing! I would say it ranks up there with---
Sarah: CUUUUT!
The background disappeared again and Angelica looked to the side.
Angelica: No good?
Sarah: Dear Angelica, do you know what ‘making fun of’ means?
Sarah frowned slightly, but there was a clear trace of a smile on her lips.
Angelica: Ermmm. You make something fun together? Like, turn something bad into something fun, right?
Sarah: Not… precisely. You’re meant to ridicule her, Angelica. Make her look foolish. The first part was decent. Not perfect, but decent. Let’s get back to the ‘making fun of’ part.
Sarah motioned Angelica over and whispered a couple of things into her ear.
Sarah: The rest we can review on tape later and tweak a bit. And stop shuffling your feet, Ang!
Angelica stood in front of a white wall, the pink-black L.A.W. logo decorating the middle. But instead of a flexing woman, the center of the L.A.W.-star was occupied by a familiar five foot ten rookie. Her feet were planted firm on the ground, and she looked straight into the lens, focused on the task at hand.
Angelica: Gabby, as you leech off of the hard work of others, it seems clear to me that the only reason your face is put on billboards is because it’s the only thing big enough to accommodate that fivehead underneath that ridiculous haircut. Did you go by an old man’s home, shave their pubes and stick’em on your balding head?
Angie paused for a second, trying to repress a slight gag and visibly mouthed ‘EW’.
Angelica: But as you waddle your way to the ring in those eye-blistering horrific pieces of dumpster rejects you dare to call shoes, know that there are plenty of people waiting in the wings to rip that title from your clutches the moment you slip up. Ugh, isn’t this a bit too mean, Sar?
The background disappeared again, with Angelica looking to the side, worried that she might be pushing it a bit.
Angelica: Like, I don’t want the fans to think that! And I also don’t really want to hurt Gabby’s feelings. Besides, saying these kind of things is exactly what makes people like Sam Tolson think they have some kind of moral high ground, which is absolutely ridiculous since they are the most self-absorbed, self-entitled kind of person, who throw all of their morals out of the window to get what they want, no matter who or what they hurt in the process..
Sarah sighed as Angelica kept looking at her with a worried expression.
Sarah: Believe me Ang, when I say that the opinion of gutter trash like Sam Tolson is literally the last thing you need to concern yourself with. People are smart enough to see her for the hypocrite she is. Focus on Gabby for now. You were doing fine! Or at least, better than before. There is a lot more work to be done before this is ready to broadcast, but believe me, you and I are going to make a kickass promo whether you think you can or not.
Sarah grunted and lifted up her arm, forming a fist. Angelica smiled and fist-bumped her. It was going to take a lot of practice, a lot of hard work and quite possibly a lot of frustration, but she knew that eventually, she was going to deliver. After all, she had a lot of potential to fulfill. A lot of heads to turn.
She had a LAW Champion to conquer.
