Personal Blog 7/24/14 – 9:21 pm
Well if I knew all I had to do was trash talk ‘Doc’ in order for her to acknowledge my existence. I would have done it sooner.
You know I thought about writing another clichéd ridden blog for you “Doc” but thought better of it. Partially because you are right in the sense everything I said the first time around is basically from the ‘Wrestler Trash-talking 101 Guidebook’ but it was effective at least.
I’m not going to pretend it was my game plan to push you buttons by what I said; I just wanted to see if you had a pulse. Seeing as the only people who have been opening their mouths are two rich, talentless alcholhalics, I was beginning to wonder if only the living dead working here.
First thing right off the bat; I believe you’ve trained hard to get where you are and it hasn’t come easy. I never said or implied it did, but seeing as I don’t know you from Eve what else could I do to have you take notice.
Maybe I should have came to you like this, “Oh Doc you are so wonderful and exceptional for rising to the top in just 3 short moths of starting your wrestling career. I respect you so much and wouldn’t dare say anything negative about you. You are an inspiration to me and one day I hope to be even half the performer you managed to be in your brief career up to date. I am not even worthy of being in the same ring let alone promotion as you. Please do not humiliate me so bad in our upcoming match too much or I might have to quit in shame.”
Would that suffice for you? Would kissing your ass make you feel better? Would it be better if I invited you out for drinks to get to know you better and find out who you really are? Would that be the tact you want me to take?
Sorry, I’m not in the business of just respecting people because they feel I should. If you want my respect then show me in the ring. I plan on doing the same thing also. I’ll let my ‘karate or kung-fu louie’ do my talking.
You know what though if what I said to you was too clichéd and too mean, I’ll try to be much more gentle this time.
This weekend I plan on entering the ring with you, putting on a hell of a match with the Top Contender to the LAW Championship, and showing the crowd, the management and even you that I am not a sacrificial lamb ready for the slaughter in my debut match. I hope that's not too harsh for you.
But I won’t ever stop talking trash because I can also back it up unlike those you’ve beaten more than likely. If it gets under your skin bonus, but at least you know I’m not a shrinking violet that can be ignored. See I’m used to people over looking me and not taking me serious. But I usually show them it’s a mistake and you’ll be no different. Oops clichéd again. I’ll try not to do it again I swear. At least I didn’t promise to you’re your cat alive or rip your limbs off and beat you with them this time. So some progress has been made to my credit.
But you want to know where my disrespect for the fed comes from, no matter how probably unfounded it is? You see I’ve dealt with so many people who just wrestle because it was a new fad for them. Not because they had the heart for it. They just did it for bragging rights and cred. I’ve dealt with many wannabe starlets, singers, actresses who just lace up the boots so it looks good in their autobiography. “I had a brief stint in so and so fed and I am so hardcore because of it.” So excuse me if I question your reason for being here ‘Doc’.
I do wrestle for the passion of it but that is also why I gave it up a little over a year ago. I got tired of all the fakes waltzing in expecting things to be handed to them, then walk back to the movie set to film a movie with Ryan Gosling or duet with Beyonce or whoever the hell is hot at the moment. They didn’t take this business serious so why should I stick around to watch it crumble.
Now I’m back in the thick of things and honestly I see the same damn thing going on still. You got an over the hill reality mummy running her foul mouth for all it’s worth so of course I’m coming in to this place with low expectations. So no offense ‘Doc’ but seeing a psychologist wrestling makes me think she’s doing it just to lose a couple of pounds or a little hobby and not because of the love of the profession.
This weekend I welcome you to prove me wrong, prove I misjudged you, prove that this fed is more than a rich bubblehead, a loudmouth geriatric, a wannabe R&B star. Prove to me I misjudged the whole lot of you and you get my respect. In return I’ll show you I’m more than just idle threats, clichéd lines and a ‘Kung-Fu’ Asian chick to earn yours.
By the way, tell your friend that just like you felt I pigeonholed and disrespected you, I don’t take too kind to the stereotypes he threw my way. It’s bad enough I got my sister talking about the anti-Asian agenda in LAW but I don’t need to fuel that fire.

St. Louis, Missouri
Syn sat in her luxurious hotel room in downtown St. Louis as she caught up on her ‘work’ for the week. Still contemplating on what action to take with her driver Boris after he called a few days ago to tell her that he had to help Nyako’s sister, Oni, out of a jam, plus it seemed she had an acquaintance with her, Syn wasn’t sure if she should continue her tail or not.
Maybe she could hire someone else to tail Oni and have a rotating group of investigators on her tail. She knew CTN had contacts with some high profile Private Eye firms, but wasn’t sure if that was the right route to go since it might leave a paper trail of her actions and she wasn’t ready to let anyone know what she was up to.
Her mind wandered over to her other projects involving research in to Sidney Grey’s manager, SoLo and in to who was behind Nyako’s LAW contract. She had a feeling it was Domino or Raheem behind the acts but couldn’t figure out the reason why.
She figured she had the answer to the firing; both wanted nothing more than for Sidney to fail so they would have a reason to tear up her contract and move on to the next profitable star. But it couldn’t be Nyako could it? All this time as an associate of CTN, they never once showed interest in promoting her, but maybe they had a change of heart and decided to go in her direction. Maybe that was also the reason Oni was in the picture. Add drama and sibling rivalry to the mix.
A few years back Syn might have done the same thing, or at least pushed o make it happen, but now she found herself not as sneaky, underhanded or ambitious. She liked managing the clients she had and did more to make them happy than to raise her own star. Maybe she was losing her touch, or maybe he just got too comfortable with her lot in life.
Syn was broken out of her contemplations when there was a knock on her hotel room door. Sighing she got up out of her seat and opened the room door to welcome her guest.
“Did you see it?” Nyako asked as she burst through the door a bit worked up from something.
Syn rolled her eyed and sighed once again as she closed the door. “It’s nice to see you to Nyako my dear. I’m doing fine myself, thank you for asking.” She said under hear breath as she turned to face the hyper Asian.
“You see what Doc had to say?” Nyako asked as she ignored or didn’t hear what Syn had just said.
Syn could see Nyako had other things on her mind and for once it didn’t seem to be about her sister or her friend. She decided to listen to what Nyako was rambling about.
“Well did you?” Nyako said looking at Syn waiting for an answer to the question yn thought was rhetorical the 3 times she asked it but realizing she was looking for a real answer.
“No, I’m sorry I was occupied by other matters.” Syn motioned for Nyako to sit and relax a bit before she continued. “Why don’t you calm down and tell me what happened.”
“Hell it looks like I got under the Doc’s skin. Here she was calling me out, saying I was disrespecting her and the women in the federation along with the federation itself and seemed a bit butt hurt by what I said. She even seem to take offense to being called a seasoned vet.”
Syn cocked a brow. “When did you mention she was a seasoned vet?” Trying to recall if at any time during the past week Nyako made mention of Doc’s experience in the ring.
“Hell if I know. I think her being a psychologist, she’s reading too much in to what is said. Hell her whole rant was her blowing everything out of proportion honestly.” Nyako pulled out her phone and queued up the video Doc put together.
Syn took the phone to watch the video and was surprised by some of the remarks and statements made in it. But still nothing came too big as a shock to her as she has seen this type of reaction to her client’s words in the past.
“Well it does seem you struck a nerve with her.” Syn said as she handed the phone back to Nyako.
“I really got under her skin honestly. Still wonder where she got the vet thing from, all I said about her was they were spoon feeding the rookie to the top contender. I’ve seen her profile, I know she’s new to the game. But if she wants to put words in my mouth to fuel her rage then fine. Maybe she’ll prove me wrong and show me why she is the number one contender. I doubt it but who knows.”
“Again you are under estimating your opponent Nyako. Didn’t we just talk about that before leave New York?” Syn said, admonishing Nyako for her smugness.
“Yeah well, as I told her, I don’t know her from a hole in the ground. I watched her matches and she was alright in them, turned some heads, but hell, I’m still not impressed by the talent she beat. Hilton is just riding along on her past glories, while Knite was pretty decent back in 3WL when I was there but seems to be a shell of herself here and the other chick, like ‘Doc’ I don’t know anything about her, so I can’t give respect for what I don’t know.”
“Still, don’t you think you should tone it down a bit?”
“Why so she could think she got me o back down? Make her think she got me to shut up? I’m not toning it down for anyone. She wants me to have respect for her and this place then give me a good match. I only respect effort. I don’t respect people who get all bent out of shape for a few words I said.”
“Pot calling the kettle black aren’t we?” Syn remarked with a slight grin on her face.
Nyako slouched down in the seat and put her hands on her face as her head went back and she made a loud noise in frustration.
“Quit playing’s devil’s advocate will you?” Nyako said as her hands slide down her face.
“I know you want me to tell you you’re right and all, but honestly what good will that do. Over inflate your ego and possibly lead you to overlook ‘Doc’ like you claim she is probably overlooking you.”
“I’m not…”
“You are. I saw the blog you posted and you did question her skill, you did look down upon her at the same time claiming the ywere looking down on you. You’re guilty of the same thing you accused them of.”
“You know, I’m not sure I like this new you. Where is the backstabbing, anything goes Syn that I first signed with?”
“I’ve matured.”
“Great, you mature when I need you like you used to be. Hell you used to be the one inciting your clients to be like this, you even hand a hand in winding them up so they say the same things I did and smile about it afterwards. Now you’re just…”
“I’m just what?” Syn asked starting to feel a bit anger rise inside of herself as Nyako questioned her demeanor.
“You’re to blasé about everything. No way would you have let me tell you in the past to let me handle my own issues. You’d tell me to suck it up, and you were getting involved no matter what. You used to be the instigator for things now you’re playing peace keeper. It’s not like you.”
Nyako noticed the newest issue of the CTN insider on the hotel room desk and walked over to pick it up. As she looked through the articles about the happening in CTN and LAW, she came across the centerfold of Lexus O’Bannon.
Nyako turned the magazine toward Syn, holding up the picture of Syn’s one time rival. “Take this for instance. This wouldn’t even be in this magazine if the old you were still here. I remember how much of a rivalry you had with her. Hell every time she tried to pull something you got the upper hand for the most part. Now she’s flaunting herself in this mag and you seemed non plus about it.”
“If Lexus wants to whore herself out as the CTN playmate of the month then who am I to stop her?”
Nyako snickered. “Wow that almost sounded like the old you for a second.”
Syn took the magazine from Nyako and tossed it on her chair. “Well I’m glad I could amuse you.”
“I’m just saying.”
“You’re saying you’re pissed at Doc for calling you out and instead of focusing on her like I’ve been harping on you all week. You shift your attention in another direction. If it’s not Oni or SoLo it’s me now.” Syn snapped back, letting her anger come through a bit.
“Hey now...” Nyako said, going on the defensive.
“Focus on Doc. She should be you’re only concern. Use whatever anger she stirred up inside of you to defeat her. She’s a psychologist by trade. She’s gotten in your head like you got in hers. Only difference is I see she’s using it as fuel to get the edge on you; to give herself that extra push. That’s what I wanted you to see in her matches I showed you. Despite her being a newbie herself, she pushes it into high gear when entering that squared circle. She’s trained hard to prove herself. Maybe you need to do the same. Again you’ve been out of ring shape for over a year, you think you’re just going to waltz in and just beat her cause you might have more experience than her?”
Now Nyako was starting to get a bit pissed off but Syn pushed on.
“Sidney herself used to be a wrestler. But the years away have a tendency to dull instincts, skill and focus. That was one reason you were brought in. To bring it all back to her. You need to realize though despite not having as much as a lay off as her, you are in the same boat. So while Doc may be green and not up to your standard my dear, she still has more recent in ring experience than you have. So again, use her words as motivation or whatever, but don’t bitch about them, use them to your advantage cause she will sue everything she can to hers.”
It was like Nyako said earlier in the week, some clients got the carrot others got the stick. Right now Nyako needed a heavy dose of the stick if she was hopeful in not making a fool of herself in the ring this weekend. She hated to be so blunt but there was no other way around it. She needed Nyako’s mind on what was in front of her and not all the other distraction, plus it didn’t help that Nyako hit a nerve wit the Lexus centerfold.
Nyako walked over to the door and turned back to Syn. “I’m not sure why Kymiku has planned this weekend during the show, but I would appreciate it if you were there to. If you want me focused on Doc, I’m going to need all the help I can get to keep ‘Oni’ in check.”
Syn slowly grinned at Nyako and nodded her head. “I’m always their for my clients, whether they like it or not.” She winked.
After Nyako left, Syn called her assistant back in New York.
“Yes Ms. Syn how can I help you.”
“I need a list of everything Lexus is working on as of late or anything she might be up to.”
“Is something Wrong Ms. Syn?” The assistant asked.
“No, just call it a hunch. It might not be anything, but I like to make sure.”
“Okay Madam, I’l get to it as soon as possible.”
“Thank you Robert, you’re a god send.” With that Syn hung up the phone as her mind started to form new leads on what was going on.
