Records are made to be broken. It’s a fact of life. I never expected to make it through my whole LAW career undefeated. I knew it would happen sooner or later. I’m not going to pretend though that I’m not disappointed either though. I was this close becoming the Queen of the Ring but stumbled against Taylor.
She’s not a slouch and has earned my respect for going toe to toe with me and coming out on top. She deserved it but honestly it was close. If things broke this way instead of that way, I’d be the one wearing the crown of Queen of the Ring and next in line at a shot at the LAW Championship while she might be vying to find out who is the top contender for the Marquee Title. But I’m not going to cry about it.
I’m not like some people who bitch and whine about how I was crewed over and how I should be the real Queen of the Ring when in fact the only reason I won my match was because I got lucky. But you know what I don’t have time to worry about them either unless they get in my way.
Right now I’m looking to correct not one misstep but two as I face the woman who handed me my first defeat in LAW and also the woman who I only beat cause of interference. I don’t want to be seen as a person who can’t step up when the big match comes up. That I shrink at the challenge or can only succeed by suspect means. Unlike some I don’t want to make a career out of only getting by luck.
This Sunday I’m taming with my sister. Someone how up until recently I thought was lost to me. I don’t know if I ever thought we would be teaming up let alone face now the top two people in LAW. You would have told me we were going to do this about four months ago. I would have called you a liar. Oni and I have not always seen eye to eye, and even now we may not agree on everything or doing things the same way but we have each other’s back. What better way to prove we have that trust we didn’t have for so long by teaming up together.
We are both focused individuals in the ring and do what it takes to win short of cheating. But we are willing to go that extra mile just to get that edge. Just thing what will happen when we put that together. I got something to prove by beating Taylor and the Doc handily this time with no doubt who is the better person. Oni has a lot to prove by showing despite missing out of Queen of the Ring due to injury she is still a force to be dealt with and not taken lightly. She may not be the cold blooded person she once was but she still has that killer instinct. IT might have taken me a minute to get a taste of blood in my mouth since coming in to LAW but now I have it and will not stop until I prove how good I am and determined I will be.
I respect both the Doc and Evelyn Taylor, but make no mistake when they face us tomorrow. They gonna wish they had the night off. I hope they are ready to take it to another level because if they aren’t then they will be the first to fall to the USA.
We are the United Sisters of Asia. Taylor and the Doc will be the first two to find out what that really means. They definitely won’t be the last. If anyone else tries to stick their nose in our business though, they will learn first-hand how cold blooded, and vicious we can be. LAW has been put on notice.

Training Facility, Los Angeles, CA
Another Saturday and another day watching Nyako train, Syn thought to herself.
It wasn’t that she minded watching her client train, in fact she was happy to see her doing this instead of running her mouth like Sidney Grey, but she also felt it didn’t help her much in the long run with the continuous training and not much lip service to her opponents.
Despite her methods Grey did get results. What she lacked in talent she made up for it in getting under the skin of hr opponents. Nyako looked impressive in the ring and her 3-1 record to date in LAW was a good start but still she didn’t seem to instill fear in hr opponents, she didn’t get into their heads and make them overly angry which would make them prone to make mistakes or scared to even step in the ring with her. That had cost her in her match against Evelyn Taylor.
Both women we evenly matched but Evelyn had the advantage because Nyako did not intimidate her. Nyako did her best in the interview with VanReardon but it was too little too late. By that point Evelyn was laser focused on winning. Not saying Nyako wasn’t but even still she seemed more occupied with what others thought about her than the goal at the end and the best way to get to it.
Now on the eve of sort of a rematch, this time in tag team form with Nyako teaming up with her sister against Taylor and the newly crowned LAW Champion the Doc. Nyako had another chance to correct her mistakes against two people she had hr worst showings against so far in LAW. And yet…
“What’s on your mind.” Nyako asked as she took a break from grappling with her sparring partner in the practice ring.
She noticed her agent not really focusing on what was going on and seemed to be in a world of her own.
“Excuse me?” Syn asked bringing her attention back to her surroundings. “Are you done training already?”
“No, barly broke a sweat honestly. Saw you looking off in space. I know you hate being here so why do you always come to watch me?”
“I don’t hate watching my client get ready for her match, it’s just…”
“What is it?”
“Don’t you think you spend enough time training? I mean you can only get so good in the ring. I’ve seen you, day after day, week after week honing your skill. I’m not sure if you can get much better. Hell Eva was a workaholic like you too but she never put as much in as you seem to do. If you aren’t in a gym training, you’re out running working on something else.”
Nyako mouth turned down in a slight frown. “What you’re saying I’m working out too much. Geez, there is no pleasing you is there. You say I’m not focused enough so I focus on getting ready for every match. Now I’m getting too prepared?”
“You know why you lost to Taylor?”
Nyako’s eyes opened up in surprise. That seemed to come out of left field. “What?”
“I’m sure she trained as hard as you but she focused on the match. She set her sights straight for the goal. She took her opponents as they came. She didn’t have her focus scattered. Hell even Grey…”
“Don’t you dare mention that woman’s name. Don’t even go there Syn if you want me to listen.” Nyako snarled.
Syn backed off from the statement she was going to make. She knew Grey was a touchy subject with Nyako, especially since she found out Nyako wasn’t too happy with the fact that her sister Oni decided not to seek retribution against Grey and St. Clair and instead hired Grey’s manager on as her own business manager. Syn didn’t know what that was about and it did strike her as a weird turn of events since she had known Oni to be a different person in the past who would have wanted to see the blood of both Grey and St. Clair and possibly even bathe in it. But now she seemed to be the complete opposite of that and instead it seemed as time went on Nyako was taking on more of her sister’s old persona while Oni took more of Nyako’s calmer attitude.
“I’m just saying, I see you focused on competing in the ring but you still seemed scattered all over the place at the same time. You seem to want to do too much at once instead of one thing at a time.”
“I was in a tournament for god’s sake Syn. What else was I supposed to do? Maybe Taylor just was better than me that day. Maybe it was nothing else.”
“That’s not it. You were evenly matched. I’ve seen you compete long enough to be able to overcome that. But she approached each match separately looking at the next obstacle as it came, while you seemed to just be all over.”
“As much as I’m enjoying this psychoanalysis Dr. Phil and you telling me to focus and what tofcus on and what not to focus on and how I’m not focusing the right way. Maybe you need to listen to your own advice for once and focus yourself.”
“Excuse me?” I’m not the one actively competing.”
“Like hell you aren’t. You’re competing as much as me. The only difference is I know who my enemies and opponents are while you seemed to be blind to who’s trying to screw you over.”
Nyako was right. Someone was trying to mess over Syn and undermine things she was doing: Sabotaging the interview with VanReardon, making Nyako an active competitor, and other small things that had occurred since Nyako gotten involved in LAW. Still though Syn didn’t like the fact Nyako was trying to switch the focus on her to avoid what Syn was trying to tell her.
“I will deal with that myself. I have an Idea who may be behind it. I just need to invest some resources into looking into it. Still the point is you need to…”
“I get it. I need to focus. Maybe if you got your CTN connection to do something about Grey. I would be able to invest all my focus in to what you want me to. As long as that crazy bitch is still running free I won’t ever be able to just have this laser focus like you want me too. Especially since now Oni is sharing Song with her.”
“I’m still not sure why you care. Oni can take care of herself. She’s resilient, maybe this is her grand scheme. Take Grey’s manager and use her against Grey or even hurt her to put Grey in line.”
“You do not know what you’e talking about.” Nyako said showing a bit a frustration with Syn’s remark.
Syn took notice of the reaction. There it was again, Nyako’s protection of Sidney’s business manager. She wondered what was taking so long for her to find out what the history was between the two, yet everytime she asked, she always seemed to get excuses on to why it wasn’t available yet. She would have to take it into her own hands sooner or later if her sources kept coming up lame.
She decided though to prod to see if Nyako would let anything slip. She had remained tight lip this long, but maybe her resolve was starting to weaken.
“I call it like I see it. It’s Oni’s modus operandi. I will admit, this whole wounded, contrite persona she’s been portraying has gone on longer than I thought was possible for her to pull off but sooner or later leopards show their true spots.”
“She’s not playing any games. She’s trying to change. It’s about time you believe me when I tell you this syn. You think I would be fooled by an act?”
Syn shrugged. “I’m just saying, it strikes me as funny at how she’s becoming a calmer person while you seem to be closer to the edge. Like the two of you switched places. You used to be the one of reason while she was the one of action. I’m impressed she’s been able to mold you into her image by taking on yours. Showing you possibly where the rational side gets you in more trouble than facing the beast head on. It’s genius honestly.”
Nyako was growing tired of Syn’s theories. Thing was each one seemed to sink in more and more for Nyako, causing her to have doubts about things. Nyako herself did notice the more Oni seemed to be acting more like her she was becoming more like the old Oni herself. She always had the demons inside but she always dealt with them better. Now though it seemed Oni’s inactions made Nyako want to take action. But she couldn’t nor wouldn’t believe Oni was playing the long con on her and trying to make her just like her. Oni showed a different side and it felt genuine. Nyako’s issues were just her frustration on not be able to have her world make sense much anymore. But she was trying to get it all back in order slowly. With her two sisters, it seemed like it was possible.
“Enough of your conspiracy theories Syn. I know what my sister is up to and it’s not what you think. Maybe I just decided being the calm rational one doesn’t get me far. WE know how that approach worked out against the Doc the first time around. WE saw what happened when I get a bit more aggressive when I faced Miyoko. Then when I faced Williams I even let it out more. I just came up short against Taylor. But I promise it won’t happen again. Tomorrow me and Oni will show Taylor and Doc what they really have to deal with when they face the Shinsuzuki Sisters.”
“And if the ring is filled with the blood of those that oppose you like Evelyn Taylor and the Doc so be it right?”
“That’s not funny. If there is blood in that ring when it’s said and done. It just means it was a knock down, drug out fight between four people with something to prove. But we will be the ones on top. And you will see how focused I am.”
Syn smirked and her body language showed Nyako she was going to be quiet on the subject for the time being. She did like what said at the end before returning to her practice match. But was more impressed on how Nyako was even more intense in the ring against her sparring partner causing them to cry out in pain.
Syn’s mood went from impressed to concerned though slowly as she watched. Maybe Nyako was right maybe she did know Oni better than Syn, but she had to admit, there was something fighting to come out and sooner or later someone was going to be on the receiving end of whatever broke lose in Nyako. Syn just hoped she’d be able to control Nyako when that happened because she didn’t want to be the one on the receiving end. But the way her world was going lately. She wasn’t sure she’d be safe in the long run.
