Sidney Grey looked into the mirror as she tried to touch up her face and hide the large purple bruise that had been left on her cheek from her brawl with Evie Taylor. As she finished, she looked at herself and threw the concealing cream down on the counter in frustration. “THIS IS FUCKING INSANE!! Here I am, about to read for a movie role and I have to deal with Evie Taylor, STILL?!”
Behind her, Kenzi put her hands on her hips, letting out a sigh of frustration. “Mom! I can’t believe that you are bitching about this shit when you are the one who started it! If you had just left that woman alone and focused on what you were doing, you wouldn’t be in this mess!”
Sidney glared at her from her reflection in the mirror. “Do you REALLY think that Evie Taylor should be walking around LAW telling everyone that she is the Queen of the Ring?”
Kenzi shrugged her shoulders, “I don’t know…she won it, didn’t she?”
Sidney turned around to face her daughter. “I did a shitload of blow when I was pregnant with you…so whatever form of retardation you suffer from is TOTALLY my fault…but I can’t believe that you are THAT much of a moron!” She narrowed her eyes, “I am not jumping on the Gabriella Salinas bandwagon…but she has a fucking point! That tournament was a joke and everyone knows that she got handed the win!”
Kenzi smirked, “So, Lucas Dupree just decided that Evie was gonna win and that is how it went down? Are you smoking weed again, because you sound SUPER fucking paranoid!”
Sidney rolled her eyes dismissively. “That just goes to show how young you are sweetie! You’ll believe whatever people say because you’re innocent and ignorant to the ways of the world.” She sat forward, arching her brow as she did. “Here is the deal, women like Evie Taylor…you know the kind...” She paused, “What do you kids call them…” she thought for a moment, and then it finally came to her, “…OH, yeah…SLUTS! You see Kenzi, when sluts get by on the only thing that they have going for them…they are willing to sleep with whomever can get them ahead.” She chuckled to herself, “Evie Taylor is decent in the ring, but let’s be honest here…Queen of the Ring and number one contender to The LAW Title? She had to blow someone to get that! No way she earned it on her own!”
Kenzi threw up her hands in frustration, “Jeez! Is that what you think women have to do that to get ahead? You think we have to lay down with some man and spread our legs to get what we think we deserve?” She gave her mother a piercing glare. “That is pretty damn fucked up Mom! I mean, how would you like it if I slept my way to the top so I could be rich and famous?”
Sidney was quiet for a moment, then finally she cocked her head to the side. “Would it be with one guy or a lot of guys?”
“My God…you are the world’s worst person.” Kenzi added.
Sidney pointed at her, “You need to start considering what you are going to do with yourself. You’re the daughter of Sidney Grey…and there are expectations that you will have to live up to. I mean…you’re passable in the looks department…so maybe you should consider modeling or acting.” She turned her attention to her outfit in the mirror, a leather jumpsuit with a huge butterfly collar. She patted her hair, which was blown out in a gigantic afro. “Maybe you should go on some auditions…I’d be happy to take you on some of my reads.”
Kenzi smirked, showing her mounting frustration. “I don’t care about that shit, Mom! I don’t have to be famous or anything remotely like that! I just want you to stop acting like a crazy person! First the thing with Hilton and now you are accusing Taylor of sleeping with Lucas so she can win some stupid Queen title?!” She posted her hands on her hips. “You are sinking to a new low here!”
Sidney raised her eyebrows in surprise. “You seriously don’t think that Evie could have won that thing all on her own, do you? She obviously had to put out in order to get handed the whole thing like she did!” Sidney shrugged, “Don’t get me wrong here, Lucas is cute…I would totally sleep with him, but I don’t have to in order to main event! If I screwed Lucas, it would be because I wanted to screw Lucas. In Evie’s case, she has to get down on her knees and take it however she can get it…because she is a hoe-bag and she has no talent.”
“I read in Twitter that she’s a champion in another organization…hell, maybe even in two others!” Kenzi grinned smugly, with the knowledge that she had just punched holes in her mother’s argument.
Sidney didn’t seem fazed as she laughed, “Sweetie…cardboard titles you get for jumping on trampolines in your friend’s backyard don’t really count.” She turned around and pinched her daughter’s cheeks. “You are so cute when you are being stupid!”
Kenzi swatted her mother’s hands away…
Candid Moment: Kenzi Grey
It sounds funny to say…but I think that I love my mother…but I am not completely sure that I know what love is. I know that she gave birth to me…she reminds me of that fact every time she looks in the mirror and thinks that she sees an ounce of fat on her body. Of course…it’s that and the fact that she always introduces me as her little ‘rape baby.’ After all of that, I still care about her…and I care that she is making a fool out of herself by continuing to do and say horrible things to this Evie Taylor woman!
Trust me…I am not even on the so-called bandwagon, as my Mom puts it, for Evie or anyone else in LAW, but if they say she won the tournament or whatever…then that is it. Why does my Mom have to make a big production out of a series of matches that she wasn’t even in? Point blank…she was excluded from QotR because she was too busy trying to trash Crystal Hilton because she dared to say that this show wasn’t that good. REALLY?!! Trust me…I am on this show…it’s NOT that fucking great!
But here is my point…I don’t understand why she is so adamant that she would have won the QotR if she was in it? I got it…she use to be a big star back in the day, but that was a long ass ago. Evie Taylor, Nyako, Gabriella Salinas…all of these women here in LAW are half her age and they don’t have to cheat to win. Yeah…she pulled a fast one on Crystal Hilton…but that was a fight with no rules. She won that on a technicality…it would never happen again in million years! She is in a wrestling match next weekend…there are rules and she won’t be able to lie, cheat, and steal like she did at QotR.
Maybe this match is a good thing…maybe after Evie kicks the crap out of her she’ll realize that all of this wrestling stuff has passed her by. Maybe she’ll finally retire and then maybe we can live an almost normal life…except for all of these cameras that follow us around constantly…
Well…a girl can dream…
Kenzi continued helping her mother with her wardrobe until SoLo walked into the dressing room. SoLo bit her lower lip as she scrolled through Sidney Grey’s list of appointments on her iPad. “If you can nail this audition and get out of here by noon, I think we won’t have to worry about cancelling your 2pm appointment with…”
“I bet that you think that stunt you pulled last week with the yellow fever blister sisters was pretty fucking funny, don’t you?!” Sidney brushed past Kenzi as she bore down on SoLo, pointing an expertly manicured finger in her face. “You embarrassed me and you are NOT going to want to do that again…DO YOU HEAR ME?!!”
“Yes…everyone hears you Ms. Grey.” SoLo said, as she casually nodded behind her.
Sidney paused as she suddenly realized that SoLo had not walked in alone. She stiffened as she saw Oni standing in the doorway with her arms folded and her dark eyes boring right into the reality star. Sidney stiffened, “Why is SHE here?!”
Oni walked into the dressing room. “I am spending time with my…” she paused with a smile, “…I’m sorry…with OUR business manager. She told me that she had worked getting you an audition here…who knows, maybe I’ll be interested in doing a little acting on the side as well. You know…to broaden my portfolio.”
Sidney glared at her. “You think that I am scared of you or your manly looking sister?! You two need to stay the hell out of my business!!”
Oni cocked her head to the side, “Grey, I have never asked you to be scared of me or my sister…I have only asked you to treat Song here with the dignity and respect that she deserves. She made a commitment to you…and she is honoring it. For that, if nothing else, you should be thankful.”
Sidney stared at Oni, hoping to force her to look away, but her dark almond shaped eyes never once waivered. Finally, Sidney rolled her eyes and threw up her hands. “You can all get fucked! The entire lot of you! I am not going to waste time and breath on this situation! I have a role to win…and after that…I have a match to win!” She smirked, “You see…that is because I have a life that is filled with people who are clamoring to see me…unlike some other people who are just chasing around others and barging in where they aren’t wanted!”
Kenzi walked over and put her hand on her mother’s shoulder, “Mom…”
Sidney shrugged the hand off as she continued to berate Oni. “I had to drag you here on my own dime because no one wanted you! Your sister didn’t even give enough of a shit about you to tell you that she was in LAW! Now…you think you are big shit because your sister is tolerating you being here?” Sidney laughed, “Get real sister!”
“Ms. Grey, I…” SoLo started.
Sidney paid her no attention at all as she continued on, cutting the young girl off. “Enjoy playing at being accepted Oni…because that is the closest that you are going to come to acting. The sad part is that no matter how much you try…everyone knows what you really are... you’re 10 pounds of crazy in a 2 pound bag!”
Oni was silent for a moment, but then she suddenly stepped right into Sidney’s face, causing the reality star to step back. Oni continued to advance, going nose to nose with Sidney when she could back up no further. “The only acceptance that I am seeking today is where you accept the fact that you will not disrespect Song…especially when she is the reason you are enjoying the success that you have. If you don’t want to be grateful…you certainly don’t have to, but you WILL be respectful.”
Sidney carefully considered her position before finally deciding not to back down. “If you don’t get out of my face and start showing ME a little respect…you and I are going to have a really big problem!”
Candid Moment: Sidney Grey
Everything I said to her was 100% true! I had to dig her up and drag her to LAW myself to get Nyako off my back! Not even her own sister wanted her to know where she was because she’s bat shit crazy! Yeah…I know, she’s been acting all innocent since coming here to LAW, but it’s just that...an act…and I for one am NOT falling for it! I wouldn’t trust that bitch as far as I could throw her!
She and her sister had NO business sticking their noses in my business…turning SoLo against me! SoLo was my personal assistant for years and now her head is getting filled with all of these thoughts about respect and honor?! WHO GIVES A FUCK?! Live your life on respect and honor if you can…that shit don’t pay the bills. Run around trying to be everyone’s friend if you must…and see how far that gets you! SoLo had a shot of being someone in a few years, under my tutelage…now she’s practically a lost cause!
I’m done wasting time with people who just don’t get it! I have bigger fish to fry than wasting my time with people who can’t even open their eyes all the way! HA! That was an Asian joke! Right now, I am the hottest commodity in all of LAW! Who’s done better than me? I had the match of the night at Queen of the Ring…my name was on everyone’s lips. The other so-called winners all looked like shit afterwards.
Gabby Camacho won the Marquee Title and followed that up by getting knocked the fuck out when Mackenzie Roberts beat her ass like a damn drum! All of that big talk about what she was gonna do after she got the belt and the first thing she did was shit the bed. Now…its like blood in the water! Everyone is jockeying for a chance to lift that belt off her shoulders. It’s like a crowd of vultures circling over her head…she’d do better to just drop the belt and quit!
Our esteemed LAW Champion, The Doc. She can’t be bothered to do anything, since she only shows up when she has a championship match. All this talk about how great she is…she’s been on one of the worst losing streaks in the history of streaks! Is that the woman that you want to represent your company? She’s the worst…and she makes LAW look weak as hell! I beat her ass like she was a jobber and I’d do it again for the belt in a minute. Maybe she’d bother to show up with something on the line…but her on her best day she can’t compare to me on my worst!
Then…last but not least…we have our supposed Queen of the Ring. Another one of our so-called big winners to come out of the iPPV. All that big talk and she goes down in flames in her first match out the gate. Way to make your case for being the best that LAW has to offer. HA! She made my point for me on the last show with her lackluster performance. She isn’t the queen of anything…except handouts!
LAW #14 is going to be about me putting that stupid cunt rag in her place! Going on Twitter and trying to bad mouth me? WHO IN THE FUCK DOES THAT BITCH THINK SHE IS?! Evie Taylor has some nerve calling herself the Queen of the Ring! She didn’t earn that title…she won by a damn forfeit, just like Gabriella Salinas said! So…after she is handed the title of Queen of the Ring, she really has the gall to run around and call herself that? She didn’t even finish the tournament…but that’s okay…because the REAL finals will take place next weekend!
I am going to beat Evie like she stole something…which she did! I am going to embarrass her and make her humble in front of everyone in that arena! I got robbed of my chance to be Queen…and when I beat Evie Taylor like the scrub that she is…no one is going to have a doubt in their mind about who sits on top of LAW!
The two women seemed to be at a stalemate until SoLo and Kenzi managed to get between them. SoLo pushed Oni back while Kenzi pulled her mother aside.
After the two were separated, Kenzi smirked. “Jeez! Can’t take you kids anywhere!”
Sidney glared at Oni, “Count yourself lucky that my daughter is here! I would have put you in the hospital again…the same way that I am going to do to Evie next weekend!”
Oni shook her head with a slight smirk on her face. “Grey…I was just in the ring with Ms. Taylor last week…trust me, she’s twice the wrestler you are. All of your yapping is just going to make her angry and she’s going to hurt you.”
Sidney smiled, “What are you getting for kissing her ass? Free bowl cuts for your entire family?! PLEASE!! Spare me all of that fucking brown nosing! I have beaten the best that this place has to offer…and next weekend, I am going to beat up your new besty as well! The day I lose to a secretary is the day I hang this shit up for good!”
There was a knock on the door, and everyone turned as a young lady stuck her head inside the room. “Ms. Grey…are you ready to make your read?”
Sidney smiled as if nothing had transpired in the room between the four of them. “I’m more than ready, sweetheart!” She started walking to the door, then she stopped and looked at Kenzi. “You know…I think you should come with me. It would be good for you to see your Mom in her natural environment. Like I said…you’re the daughter of Sidney Grey, so you better get use to being in the limelight!”
Kenzi rolled her eyes as she followed her mother out of the room. She paused for a moment to share a look with SoLo as the two friends rolled their eyes. After they left, SoLo turned to Oni. “Thank you for standing up for me…but I don’t want you fighting with Ms. Grey.”
Oni put her hand on SoLo’s shoulder. “Trust me…there wasn’t going to be a fight today. I know Grey…I know the type and how she operates. She would never fight me face to face…she’d jump me as soon as I turned my back. While I wouldn’t go so far as to call her a coward…I wouldn’t call her anything that was much better either.” She shook her head, “No offense…but I really hope that Taylor beats some respect into her next weekend.”
SoLo shrugged, “I’m not going to take sides against Ms. Grey…I just hope that she does things right. Not like she did last weekend with that pretend lawsuit. That was a complete embarrassment!”
“If Grey put in as much time into her wrestling as she did into scheming, she would have been World Champion several times over by now.” Oni leaned against the table as she folded her arms. “As it stands, she’s more of a poor parody of what she should have been. I find it almost comical to think that your friend, Kenzi came from that woman.”
SoLo paced across the small room, “She wasn’t always like she is now…” she paused, then amended her previous statement, “…well, not to this degree. I think that she sees the writing on the wall now. Her time in the spotlight is winding down and she is just grasping at whatever she can to hang on to it as long as possible.” She sat down on the edge of the make-up desk. “I signed on for this thing with her…so I have to see it through. I hope you understand it…I know that Nyako doesn’t.”
“Our sister understands…she just doesn’t like it.” Oni added, “I’ll say this…if you want Grey to make it to the end of this little ride of hers, I suggest that you keep her far away from Nyako. She hasn’t been as…forgiving as I have these last few weeks. You saw how she was in the ring last week with Taylor and The Doc. If Grey upsets her one more time, neither of us are going to be able to stop her.”
SoLo dropped her head. “Yes…she has been a bit of a hot head lately…especially where it concerns Ms. Grey, I...”
The door to the dressing room flew open and Sidney stormed back in. Her afro wig was gone and her makeup was in shambles. SoLo jumped to her feet, as she rushed to the reality star’s side. “Ms. Grey! What’s wrong? What happened?!!”
Sidney snatched her purse off the counter. “LET’S GO!! RIGHT NOW, I WANT TO LEAVE NOW!!”
SoLo looked at Oni, but she merely watched on impassively. SoLo grabbed Sidney by the arm to physically stop her. “MS. GREY, WHAT HAPPENED!!”
Kenzi walked to the door, wearing the wig and Sidney narrowed her eyes. “Ask her!”
Kenzi took off the wig. “Mom…I didn’t even want to go out there! YOU MADE ME!!”
SoLo looked at Kenzi, “Did they offer you the part?”
“All I did was put on the dumb wig and say a couple of stupid lines.” She walked over to her mother, but Sidney refused to even look at her. “Mom, I don’t even want the part! I’m not going to take it.”
SoLo’s face lit up. “OH MY GOD KEN! YOU HAVE TO DO IT!!”
Kenzi continued to shake her head. “I don’t want to act or model or any of that stuff! I only read with Mom because they asked me to!”
SoLo was still amazed. “Ken…you’re going to be Foxy Brown!!”
Sidney snatched the wig out of her daughter’s hand. “I WAS SUPPOSE TO BE FOXY BROWN!!”
“Errr…I don’t mean to stick my nose in anyone’s business…but isn’t Foxy Brown black?” Oni added.
Sidney whirled around, her eyes shooting daggers. “I’M FROM FUCKING SOUTH AFRICA, THERE IS NO ONE HERE WHO’S BLACKER THAN ME!!”
Oni held up her hands in mock surrender. “Oh…errr, okay.” She rolled her eyes as she sat back.
Kenzi grabbed her mother and turned her around to face her. “Mom, I don’t want the part. I already told you…I don’t want to act or be famous or any of that stuff! This is what you want…so you go back in there and tell them that!”
Sidney stood there for a moment, wiping her face and leaving long black streaks from her running mascara. For a moment it seemed that she was going to do exactly what her daughter said, but instead she softened. “It’s okay…it’s fine! You’re my daughter…so, of course people want you in movies. You should be famous…whether you want to be or not!” She threw her arms around Kenzi, “Whether you want to be or not…”
Sidney held her daughter tight, though her face was still incredibly pained. Kenzi continued to make her case, “Mom! I don’t want to do this! I’m not an actress…I’m just…just me!”
Sidney held her daughter back, looking at her. “You’re MY daughter…and even though you are the product of rape…I still love you and I want only good things for you! I want you to do this…I want you to take this part.”
“Mom!” Kenzi started, but Sidney pressed her finger against her daughter’s lips.
“Shhhhhhh! Make me happy…just do this for me, okay?” Sidney looked at Kenzi and nodded. “You wanted to make the point with me that you didn’t need to sleep your way to the top like Evie Taylor…well, here is your chance.” She shrugged, “Besides…its not like I have a lot of time to do promotion for this movie when I need to be planning on what to do after I beat Evie Taylor and prove to the world that I am the best woman in all of LAW! Who needs Hollywood anyway!”
There was a knock on the door and the girl from earlier stuck her head back in the door. “Ms. Grey…Mr. Rockwell wanted to let you know that if you wanted it, he had a part in the movie for you as well.”
Sidney shoved Kenzi away, nearly knocking her over as she jumped up and down. “YES!! YES!! YES!!”
SoLo interrupted, “But Ms. Grey…what about the match next week? You said you wanted to concentrate on the match…”
“FUCK HER!!” Sidney yelled, “I can beat that bitch with my eyes closed!” She threw her arms around Kenzi. “My daughter and I are about to be MOVIE FUCKING STARS!!”
