I’m not going to pretend my mind is in the right place for Rising Stars cause it’s not. My lie seems to get more and more complicated as the days pass. I would love for nothing more than to be able to just concentrate on Fujiko and basically my second title defense of the Marquee title. I would love nothing more than to talk about being the first to break the streak of the incoming champion losing the title at the very next PPV. Yet life keeps throwing a big ol’ wrench in those plans.
I would love nothing more than to not worry about anything than to face Fujiko. She worth all the attention she’s gotten since coming into LAW and I know on numerous occasions she has made her intentions known to take this title away from me. I know she’s had designs on the Marquee from start and probably like me, relishes this title more than the World Title.
I’ve always viewed the Marquee title the premier title of LAW. I know I haven’t done much during my tenure as the champ and part of that is because of the things that have been going on in my personal life, but what kind of champion would I be if I let that stop me. But I also can’t play like it hasn’t played a big part in what I have been doing the past few month’s since becoming the champiuon.
I could take the easy route and just lay down for Fujiko and let her have her turn as champ but then the cycle would continue. Next PPV someone will have designs on it make a lot of noise and become the next Marquee. Sorry but that’s not how this title nor any title should be treated. I set out to make this belt mean something, build of of the pedigree that Comacho put into it. In her short time she restored it to where it should be. I wanted to take it beyond where she raised it. To do that though I can’t be a transitional champ. If I lose it I tarnish what it means to be Marquee champ. Don’t get me wrong there will be a time for Fujiko to hold the title in due time. But she won’t get a chance for it until I’m ready to let it go.
As I started off saying I got many things being thrown at me and coming my way and my world is getting turned upside down. And because of that I am not 100 percent focused on Fujiko, but make no mistake what part of me is focused on her is more than she’ll be able to handle. I strive on bringing my A game every match and I may stumble every once in a while like I have done against Hilton last show, but that just means this time around I’m going to make up for those mistakes.
You are a rising star Fujiko but I don’t plan on letting your star shine on me.

Nyako’s Hotel room
(this takes place after the events of LAW 22)
“What kind of bullshit is this?! I told Song everything would be okay if she did what I said and she did but then that...that...THING hand to open it’s mouth and ruin everything!” Nyako said as she came bursting into her hotel room. “I fucking knew I should have dealt with it when Uzai reared his ugly head in the first place. Knew from the start he was nothing but trouble but I let myself believe he was out to help.”
Nyako paced around running her hand through her hair in frustration. She wanted to scream, wanted to lash out but knew it would lead to her joining her sisters in jail when the other hotel patrons called because of the disturbance. There had to be something she could do yet nothing came to her. On top of it all also she had Maleek Raheem in tow.
He came to the station trying to be the white knight yet he was anything but. At least Uzai came out and showed his true colors, Raheem though tried to be slick with his and do his dirt on the down low until it was too late. Yet he put himself in her line of sight and she was not going to let him off the hook.
“And you …” She turned on him as he stood leaning by the doorway after closing the door behind him. “You fucking used me to try to get me off guard so you can spring this shit on Oni a few weeks back. It can be the only explanation why you’d show up at my place out of the fucking blue like you did. Some weak ass pretense of wanting to commiserate over Yin and work your way into bed with me just so I get my mind on what happened between us instead of what was going on with Oni. I knew your were low Raheem but didn’t think you sink that low, especially to work with that fucking skank VanReardon!”
Raheem was truly hurt by what Nyako said, but he understood why she was saying it. She didn’t know...or wouldn’t believe that he cared enough about her not to do the things that she was accusing him of. He could protest and tell her that he wasn’t what she was making him out to be, but he knew that she wouldn’t listen to him or believe it. Actions always spoke louder than words and he would show her soon enough.
He stuffed his hands into his pockets, “Ny...I aint’ come here to fight...I came here to help. I know you don’t believe me, but I’m standin’ right fuckin’ here! You can accuse me of plottin’ and plannin’ wit’ people all you want, but facts is facts homie!”
He raised his eyebrow, “Now...instead of fightin’ wit’ me, why don’t we put our heads together and figure out this damn mess! I know Oni aint’ lookin’ to leave SoLo in lock up, but if she can’t do it...her match is off and then…” he shrugged his shoulders. “...we need to git’ ready to deal wit’ Trisha and her shit!”
“I Should have popped that bitch in her other eye during my Hot Seat interview, then she might have thought twice about pulling this shit.” Nyako snarled as she plopped down on the couch.
She leaned back on ih with her face toward the ceiling. “Honestly I don’t give a fuck about what happens if Oni misses the Title match. Let your pal VanReardon put me on blast, not like she wouldn’t sooner or later anyway.”
“He wanted to argue the point, but the truth of the matter was that they both knew that Trisha was a royal bitch and it was only a matter of time before she turned her sights back to Nyako. “Yeah...maybe you right, but do me a favor...don’t be lumpin’ me in wit’ her on this mess. I mean, yo’ sis has done some MAD fucked up shit in her time...but I can see she been tryin’ to get past it. It aint’ cool what Trisha been doin’,” he shrugged, “...but I have to admit...th’ video was kinda’ tight...just sayin’ you know.”
Nyako looked over at Raheem. “This is what you call helping? And you wonder why I’m lumping you in with VanReardon. Sorry but it’s hard for me to believe your innocence in this since Priya was your girl you set me up with. It means one of two things, you are naive and aren’t as in control of ‘thangs’ as you like to think you are or you're a cold hearted bastard who likes to play Machiavelli and watch how things fall. In either case I don’t think i need your type of help then since obviously you seem to fuck up things as much as the rest of us.”
The fact that she was throwing Priya in his face really upset him. He pointed at her, “Look! The THANG wit’ Priya might have been fucked up, but don’t act like you aint’ enjoy th’ shit! That was some shit between you and me...PERIOD! Yeah...that might have got messed around afterwards, but it won’t nothin’ I was tryin’ to get over on you!”
He leaned over her, glaring at her through narrowed eyes. “I might have fucked some shit up, but I am doin’ my best to make up fo’ it! I aint’ runnin’ around like a fuckin’ crazy person tryin’ to beat up th’ goddamn po’po...IN TH’ DAMN POLICE STATION!” He stood back, shaking his head, “I should have let them taze yo’ ass!”
Nyako jumped off the couch and got right into his face, poking a finger in his chest and a snarl on her lips. “GO TO FUCKING HELL MALEEK! I don’t need you to tell me how I acted. If they didn’t fucking act like Oni and Song caused mass murder all on the word of a lying git like Uzai, none of this would be going on! They came in to LAW dead set on arresting Oni on nothing but hersay and no proof, held on to her despite not having the right to and then haul off Song when Uzai just blurts out something and they take his word on it. And you think I was wrong to jump hot at them?! GO TO HELL!!”
Raheem didn’t back down from her rage, instead he answered in kind. “YOU GO TO HELL!” He stuck his finger in her face, “Your fuckin’ answer to everythin’ is to hit it wit’ a goddamn hammer! You need to lighten up and start usin’ yo’ head fo’ somethin; other than a damn batterin’ ram!”
Raheem stared at her, waiting to her to cut loose on him again, but before she could he grabbed her behind her head and crushed her lips hard against his. He knew that she would be furious with him, but he didn’t care. He had been doing nothing but dreaming about her since the the night they spent together, only a few short weeks ago. She probably didn’t feel the same about him...but this was the closest that he was going to come to giving voice to it. He pulled back, staring at her and waiting for the punch that was surely coming his way, but it was worth it.
“I hate you…” She said breathlessly before she pulled him toward her this time delivering one hell of a passionate kiss. She didn’t know why she was doing it. For all intent and purpose she should have been beating the holy hell out of him and yet all she wanted was to have him again. Despite what had went down in the aftermath all she could think about was that night and how alive she felt after it. With Priya it was fun but with Maleek it was just too hard to describe.
She pulled him toward the couch and fell on top of him still locking lip with him without anything else on her mind. She knew deep down this was wrong she should be figuring a way out for Oni and Song but honestly all she thought was how bad she wanted Maleek.
She clawed at his chest pulling his shirt off over his head as she pulled away from him for the briefest of seconds to catch her breath before she started to grope him, Rubbing against his bare caramel colored chest, wanting him needing him.
He reached up, running his hands through her hair and then gently touching her face, turning his hand as she leaned into it. Things had started fast, but he wanted to savor this moment. His hands traced their way down her body, feeling every curve...every hill and valley. He knew that she was going to regret being with him, but if she was going to hate herself afterwards, he intended to make sure that she enjoyed every moment of this.
