Walking up the stairs to Nyako's apartment, Alex was accompanied by her parents, John and Sue Yin, holding a shoebox in her hands. As is often the case, you could get a good idea of why Alex has turned out the way she has thanks to her parents. An only child, Alex was always lavished with attention from an early age and her very sweet and kind parents definitely passed their pleasent personalities onto Alex; even if they, like Alex, were sometimes a little too goody-goody for other people.
Sue: So is this one of your wrestling friends?
Alex: Yep. Her name's Nyako and she's been very good to me. She's the best person to help me out right now.
Sue: Sweetheart, if you're being bullied again...
Alex: I'll handle it, mum. It's just a load of silly nonsense.
John: But why dig up Zip, lollipop?
Alex swalllows both her emotions and a little bit of bile.
Alex: I'd rather not talk about it, dad. All goes well, you'll get him back home in a few weeks.
Alex and her parents reach Nyako's floor as they round the corner to her apartment.
Sue: Your dad's worried, sweetie. So am I. We've not seen Chewie since we've been here and you two seem inseperable in your video chats. Then there's that girlfriend of yours we met in Paris...I'll just be honest and say I don't think she's right for you.
Jon: Not that we have any problems with your....ummmm, personal attractions. Love is love, and all that.
Alex: It's okay, dad. I don't think Mackenzie's right for me anymore, either.
With that, Alex knocks on Nyako's door and waits for it to open.
