The scene comes into focus and as it does we are taken to a gym where we are able to see the Warren sister in laws. Kate Steele-Warren and Cynthia Warren are sparring with one another. Kate Steele quickly arm drags Cindy to the mat as Cindy’s back hit’s the mat with a loud thud. She reaches for her back in pain as she gazes up at the ceiling in pain. Kate however is all business as she is motioning for Cindy to make it back to her feet. Cindy breathes heavily before she kips up to her feet and keeps her eyes on her sister in law.
Cindy: I can’t believe that I lost to Kandi Washington… I honestly thought I was going to advance in the tournament… I poured everything into becoming a wrestler… Everything into convincing my family that it was right to choose this path. Trying to convey to them that this is what Richard would have wanted… Yet they think that I am full of it and keep telling me that I should have stuck to…
Kate however doesn’t let her finish as she proceeds to send her back down to the mat with a quick hurricarana. Cindy’s back hit’s the mat with a loud thud again as Kate looks down at Cindy smirking.
Cindy: What the hell was that for?!
Kate: Because sometimes you just talk too much…
With that Cindy slowly sits up breathing heavily as the blonde crosses her arms glancing back at Kate.
Cindy: What do you mean I talk too much? Please elaborate…
Kate offers a long sigh as she shakes her head pacing around a bit as she begins to share her heart.
Kate: Look you can’t let your demons eat up at you. You just have to keep it hidden and lock away. The moment you let them get the better of you that is when doubt is going to creep in and it’s going to be the very thing that will cloud your judgement into making you think you made the wrong decision. Doubt is something that can be a real bitch though because it’s the power of doubt that will lead you into making even more mistakes, and it’s going to rip your mind in two. You need to be focused and despite everything just go with the flow of making your decision and sticking to it. Even if it’s one that is blatantly wrong you have to go with it and be committed to it.
Kate helps Cindy up to her feet as she looks up into the blondes eyes.
Kate: I get it though Cindy… You lost your match. You lost to a woman who has far more experience than you do… What are you going to do about it? You going to sit around and be mopey over why you did and what you could have done if you did that differently or if you decided to do that instead of this? The truth is the question to the What Ifs aren’t really that important and it won’t really solve anything. Instead of worrying about where you could have done better it would be far better to focus on what’s in front of you. You have the chance to survive in a battle royal make a name for yourself and emerge with a spot in the Marquee Championship match. Granted it may not be the belt you wanted but it’s a start and it’s a step closer to becoming a champion.
Cindy: ...Wow who would have thought I would have received the mighty words of the wise sister in law who is younger than me. And while I am working on preparing for my big Marquee match you will be focusing on…
Before Cindy can say anything else she is taken off of her feet by a leg sweep. Kate stares down at Cindy shaking her head at her as she grins a bit.
Kate: Working on what it will take to bring me closer to a World Championship match. Just think of it as a blessing in disguise you losing to Kandi. If you won there might have been a chance that you would have been facing me in the finals and we know how that would have turned out…
Cindy… As if you could beat me…
Kate: Well if this little training session is any indication of what our match would have been like it’s not hard to see which way the match would have gone… Let’s be honest here… You don’t see me complaining over how things went over the last show…
Cindy: You didn’t get that pretentious bitch in the first round! You got someone that didn’t even say anything…
Kate: What of it?!
Cindy: … I hate you
Kate: No you don’t… Because if you did you wouldn’t have been asking me for my help…
Cindy: So… how about you Kate… Do you think you can beat that Morgan chick? She seemed to pick apart Skye a bit…
Kate: Do I think I can beat her? Don’t ever ask me a stupid question like that again…You just have to wait and see what I do to that bitch in the ring just like everyone else… Just have to take one match at a time and see what happens with it… Now less talk and more training… Because if you don’t focus, you just might get slammed…
Cindy opens her eyes in amazing as Kate brings her down yet another.
Kate: Again and again…
Cindy seems frustrated as she looks up at Kate shaking her head at her, and we fade out to them sparring.
You know it’s actually quite irritating that I am going to be stepping into the ring with the likes of this chick named Morgan Alvertez. The only thing that I have seen from this stupid cunt is her constantly running her mouth again and again. From the way she truly believes that she is going to make her way into facing Kandi and she will be the one to dethrone her but instead of looking so far into the future I think it would honestly be best to focus on the here and now.
Am I impressed by the fact that Morgan stepped inside the ring and defeated Sky Sparks? To be brutally honest I couldn’t really give a damn. Sure you got past Sparks and I will give Sparks some credit because she is a fellow countrywoman and I can respect a woman who has traveled from the same country as I have to be apart of a wonderful company as this.
I can respect the amount of heart that Skye showed in the ring. For you to disrespect everything that she did inside the ring is absolutely ridiculous. But I get it, I totally get it you and Crystal believe yourselves to be the absolute cream of the crop within LAW. You plan to take this company to new heights and you won’t rest until you are ruling the wrestling world as you did with many wrestling companies before you.
To me that’s a bunch of blah blah and more blah. You think I give a crap about your background or what company you came from? Your stories about how you did this in 4CW and whatever else you want to bring up? The fact is it really doesn’t mean anything because this isn’t that place nor is it any other place that you brought up. This is LAW and this is a brand new company where we are looking to crown a World Champion.
If you want I could go on a rant on how I was a former Hardcore Champion in another company thus how I earned my name of being LiL Miss Ultraviolence and how I currently am representing another company as an Extreme Champion but does that really make a difference? No because I didn’t come here to talk myself up on how great I am. I rather focus on showing you what I am about when I whooping your ass inside of the ring.
Last time I checked that is the only thing that ever held any sort of merit within a wrestling company. You are only as good as you are for your next match. What you did in the past really doesn’t hold any merit to me. But hey congratulations you made it here. You made it to the second round of the tournament and that is where this journey of yours to becoming a World Champion will officially end. I will be damned if you think that I will be the welcome mat that acts as your rite to passage into the next round of this thing.
That is where you and I seem to have a conflict with one another. I am no one’s stepping stone and I certainly won’t be yours. I understand though Morgan that you have been wrestling since 2001 and you have over 13 years of wrestling experience under your belt not to mention an undefeated record that seems to be impressive.
I can’t say that I went about going undefeated because in my short one year of being a wrestler I have more losses than I do wins. I may not be the most athletically gifted athlete and may not be the strongest nor the biggest but one thing that I do know is that it only takes the power of one to make a difference. In the span of one match anything can happen and as the saying goes on Any Given Sunday anybody can beat anybody. How befitting would it be if I managed to beat you on Sunday?
You think the power of one doesn’t mean anything? Well let me give your some facts about the power one, and you can blame these useless facts on my husband being a Political Science Graduate and a New Yorker.
But it was the power of one vote that stopped U.S. President Andrew Johnson from being impeached…
It 2004 it started off with just One game that saved the Boston Red Sox from being eliminated from the American League Championship followed by another, another, and a final one that rallied them to get to the World Series by taking out the New York Yankees despite being down 3-0…
And last but not least it was 1 game that prevented the New England Patriots from having the storybook perfect season and playoff ending when the New York Giants stopped them in the 2008 Super Bowl.
The power of one can definitely be a game changer, and when you and I step in the ring with one another you are going to see that all it takes is the power of one Kate Steele to deter you from what you want to do, and in the course of one match you will learn out what true humility is when you lose to me which will be your first lost.
So go on bring whatever you want. Do your absolute worst to me and I will be right there fighting you back with everything that I have in me. You want to know why my nickname is LiL Miss Ultraviolence? Will don’t worry you will come to find out when it’s you and I wrestling in the ring with one another.
So tell me how that won’t be your fate. Tell me that things will go your way. And all the other things that go with being a delusional individual who doesn’t know the concept of failing sometimes. Tell me how I am out of my mind, and all the random cliche stuff you want to throw at me.
I could care less… The only thing my mind is on is beating you and advancing further in this tournament. This tournament is my way to be acknowledged not only as an Extreme athlete but as a woman who is worthy enough to be the top dog in the company…
Got something to say?
I didn’t think so… After all Silence is indeed Golden...
