Following the wild finish of the main event, I stalked the backstage area of the arena, still angry and spoiling for a fight. I needed to get myself under control before I departed. Tonight’s match had solved nothing, but things were moving forward as if there had been some sort of resolution. Kate Steele was still in possession of my sister’s championship title and Fujiko Mine was still walking around LAW, acting as arrogant and cocky as ever!
I didn’t like it…I didn’t like it one fucking bit!
“ONI!” I turned to see SoLo running up to me, with a look of concern on her face. She held her phone up so I could see her Twitter banter with Kenzi and half of the LAW roster. “LOOK! Kenzi is trying to sign with LAW! She wants to fight Keira Fisher!”
I rolled my eyes, not giving a damn. “Song…do you think I care about any of that right now?! Did you see what just happened out there in my match!”
SoLo pulled the phone back, a look of hurt on her face. “Oni…she’s my friend…”
I folded my arms across my chest. “Well…that’s great for you, but she’s not my fucking friend, so…I don’t give a flying fuck what she does!” I could see the hurt in SoLo’s eyes at the harshness of my words and while it did bother me, the annoyance I felt was far greater. I sighed, “Jesus Song! She’s a grown ass woman! If she wants to run around here and get punched in the fucking face for a paycheck, LET HER! She’s none of my fucking business!”
Tears appeared in her eyes as she stared at me. “Her mother is responsible for brining you here! I know you don’t care about Sid…but her daughter is innocent and you should at least want to do something…for me if nothing else!”
I took a deep breath, trying to stay calm as I responded as bluntly as I could. “People act like I owe Grey a debt of gratitude for getting me signed with LAW..I don’t! Grey has been the biggest piece of shit walking the halls of the company and now that she is gone, it should be nothing but happy days! All this non-sense about who hit her is stupid!” I chuckled, “I hope they find the person who did it, so I can shake their goddamn hand!” I walked up on SoLo, getting right in her face as I poked her hard in her chest, “Fuck Grey and fuck her dumb-ass kid!” If you can't understand any of that...fuck you too Song!
SoLo stumbled back, staring at me wide-eyed, “Oni…?”
It did hurt me to say those things to her, but I needed her to distance herself from me. It wasn’t safe for her…it wasn’t safe for anyone so long as my brother was near. He has promised to stay away from her and the rest of my friends, but if they sought me out…all bets would be off. This was just the way that things had to be. I was going to exile myself from my sisters…until I found a way to deal with Senji.
I didn’t like it…I didn’t like it one fucking bit!
