Book 1: Siren of the sea
Chapter 3: Goodbye
Michelle sighed as Evander held her in his arms. She looked over toward the casket where Stefan’s body laid. A sigh escaped her lips as she watched everyone else.
Evander: Were you not close to him?
Michelle: I was Evander. Just…I’ll go up there when I can. I need some time Evander.
Evander nodded.
Evander: What was he like?
Michelle: Stefan was a good man, I mean that may not seem that way but under the wrestling persona I knew him. He’s a good man, had a bright personality and enjoyed the family.
Evander: Is he like Claude?
Michelle: Sex wise yes, personalities…kinda-sorta.
Evander couldn’t help but to laugh.
Michelle: He’ll be missed. He fought till his last breath from what I heard.
Evander: If that happened to me, I’m willing you my power.
Michelle: Don’t.
Evander: Michelle please-
Michelle turned to him.
Michelle: Evander don’t! Stefan was Zeus and I’m Poseidon, I basically lost my blood brother if you think of it.
Evander winced at that.
Evander: I’m sorry Michelle.
Michelle: It’s okay, you didn’t know Ev.
Michelle sighed and got up.
Michelle: It’s now or never.
Michelle slowly walked away leaving Evander. Evander wanted to go with her but he knew she had to do this alone. Michelle felt her body trembling with each step. In a way she didn’t want to do this. Her bond with him acted up and Michelle felt a tear roll down her face. Before she knew it she was at the casket. Stefan was peaceful, he wasn’t moving and he looked healthy. Damn the cadavers did a great job!
Michelle: Hello there Stefan…well technically you’re already gone. You know I just wanted to let you know that I miss you. I know you can hear me though, you’re watching over us. I’m not sure if you’re with Tanja or at the nursery or in the Grecian realm. Either way we’ll see you sometime soon…I wish you would have been able to stay till at least after the war; Mel needs you and well Uriella’s a wreck. You heard about what happened in France. The Abaddon line that’s there is alive and well thankfully. But we did lose some magi-bloods… Stefan we miss you. It hurts knowing that you’re gone and hell Claude isn’t doing well. Rei’s trying her best. The children are alright…all your kids. Seriously over thirty five! God you couldn’t have worn a condom or something?! But you are like God, you work in mysterious ways.
Stefan…Good bye dear. Rest in peace and till we see each other again.
Michelle felt someone hug her from behind. She knew it was Evander. Michelle took Evander’s hand and he lead her away from Stefan.
Michelle: Personal struggles . . . they accumulate and build up until we’re buried so deep in them that we can’t see the light anymore. The true heart of the fighter comes alive when we’ve gotten so deep and it seems we can’t go any further to get ourselves out . . . that’s when we put up our best fight, and give it all we’ve got. The same goes with a wrestling match, that second wind that everyone talks about getting. That moment when your energy comes to life once more and amazingly you fight back when you’ve simply been torn apart before.
It is a vicious cycle, but we all live for feeling that moment seconds before you reign down on your opponent and deliver the blow of a lifetime and those precious three seconds happen before you emerge victorious.
This week I face a new comer to LAW in Jade Goldman. Oh this should be fun! You’ve had a little bit of training and yet I’ve been training my entire life. One fight to another and not just the same on song and dance, at every turn I look to increase my momentum, invoke my fighters spirit and never have I let anything stop me. We’ve seen what you’re made of and we’ve seen what it is I can do. You could take it when it came to the singles matches, but throw you inside of a cage and you choke. For me, I was given the three stages of hell and I climbed on right through, took it to town against a wolf and a hawk, and came out roaring victoriously. I play no games when it comes to that ring.
So when it comes down to it Jade, I’m going to give you a fight you’ve never seen before, I’m going to give it everything I’ve got and as we’ve seen that’s never failed me. So Jade metaphorically just think of yourself as being thrown into the Lion’s Den, one of us is getting eaten alive and it sure as hell ain’t me.
Best of Luck Miss.Goldman.
