It was a couple of days after LAW#4... and six days after Sarah Gordon's brother, Tony, had been injured at the Fort Hood shooting. He was now recouping in an E.R. in Austin, but was lucky that the injury wasn't too severe. He was alert as ever, and acted as if the incident didn't even bother him. He always put on a brave front, and shrugged off even the harshest of pain. He was Sarah's big brother, and he had always taken it upon himself to act as such.
snOw sat in the waiting room, her feet planted firmly on the floor. She folded her arms, and stared down at the ground below... she spoke in a hushed tone, without ever once looking up at the camera.
"I hate hospitals. I hate the waitin' rooms, I hate the SMELL. I hate the money-grubbin, penny-pinchin' 'doctors'. But most of all?" snOw paused for a moment... "I hate the nurses."
snOw nodded her head, letting that last one sink in.
"Cindy Warren... you say you wanna help people. You've seen how people in this proffession can be, you say you wanna go down a different path. Good on ya. But I've seen my fair share of nurses. And I seen how little they give a damn. Condescendin'. Uppity. Most of 'em are even more self-servin' than the docs themselves, and boy howdy is THAT sayin' somethin'."
snOw breathed deeply, frustration setting in... she let the air out, slowly, through her mouth. Before pressing on.
"But hey, what do I know, right? You might be cut from a different cloth. Watchin' yer promo work, I gotta hand it tah ya. Ya seem tah have a good head on yer shoulders. Ya seem tah have a decent ethic, good morals. I can respect the hell outta that. That's why I don't quite bunch ya in with smarmy, big-headed bitches like Aphrodite & Crystal Hilton... not quite, anyhow."
snOw glanced toward the door to the hospital hallway, awaiting to be called in to see her brother. She continued, eyes locked on the mahogany doorway.
"...but they say looks can be deceivin'. Never trust nobody with a squeaky clean, goody-two-shoes outward appearance."
And that's when snOw looked toward the camera.
"...cuz they got the devil tucked away inside. And when the moment's right? They'll let that bastard out tah play. By then... it's already too late."
"Sarah? Sarah Gordon!!"
She heard her name being called. Glancing back at the doorway, she saw the nurse. A slightly pudgy, but kind looking woman, who beckoned for snOw to come see her brother. Sarah whispered softly so the camera could hear her.
"They hide the truth behind a veil. A smile. Really... they ain't too much diff'rent from just about anybody else. Includin' me."
snOw stood up. And took a walk with the nurse... ready to see her bro.

A few moments later, snOw was sitting at Tony's bedside. He smiled broadly, and ruffled his little sister's hair, just as he did when they were growing up. She playfully slapped his hands away, grinning and shaking her head.
"Even when ya got a damn bullet in ya, yer still a pain in my ass!!" snOw joked, only making Tony smile brighter.
He replied, "Hey, I gotta keep ya in check, right? Ya may be grown, ya might be in the wrasslin' biz. Heck, yer arms are startin' tah give mine a run for their money." Tony smiled, looking snOw in the eyes... "But I'm still yer big brother. And I always will be."
snOw nodded her head. "I still remember when I had tah come to you fer EVERYTHING. I got into a fight? You were my secret weapon. I lost my favorite action figure? You were on the case. I felt miserable, down in the dumps, and needed a pick-me-up? You were right there... and ya didn't leave till I had a smile on my face. Tony, I don't know what I woulda done without you. But I know I never wanna find out."
Tony looked down slightly, trying his best to hide the tear forming in the corner of his eye. Army strong. He didn't show those kinds of emotions. He was too tough, too proud. He sighed heavily, shook his head, and looked back up at his kid sis.
"Sarah... I'm damned proud of you, ya know that? Damned, DAMNED proud. Yer not just makin' a livin', yer makin' a NAME fer yerself. Yer cementin' your face, your name, your BELIEFS in the hearts and souls of fans across this great nation we call home. And I couldn't be a bit happier. There's a lotta hate out there, Sissy. Lotta people gonna try and bring you down, but you FIGHT. You don't throw in the towel, you don't hold yer head down. You hold yer head high. That's what'cha been doin', and that's WHY I'm proud of you. You think I'm strong? Hun... I ain't got nothin' on you."
snOw visibly shed a few tears. She wasn't afraid to show it. She glanced down at the floor, before looking back up at Tony.
"Tony-tone... thank you. Fer everything."
"No need tah thank me, princess." Tony said lovingly. "I should be thankin' you. I was always there for you... now yer here fer me. That's family. That's what we do. Now, I hear ya gotta match in about two weeks' time... ya lookin' forward to it?"
snOw chuckled, wiping her eyes, and settling back into a more relaxed demeanor. "I guess. Honestly, I'm tired of practicin'. I'm tired of facin' bitches that don't BRING IT. I want a challenge, I want COMPETITION!!"
"Ya got anyone in mind?"
snOw heard Tony ask the question. She stopped for a second. But she already knew the answer. "...Violet. No doubt. I've known her since we were both a part of a fed that shall not be named. We didn't meet, we didn't work together, hell, we hardly even crossed paths in the locker room. But I saw her skill. Her desire, her determination, her DRIVE. I saw her put in work, and I THOUGHT I saw somebody different. Thought I saw someone that bucked the trend, that carved out her own path 'stead ah followin' everyone else's.
"Sadly... I think I was mistaken."
Tony replied. "Well, then. I think I know who ya oughta keep an eye on."
snOw nodded her head in agreement... "I think yer right."
Tony & Sarah continued to talk & reminisce, as the camera slowly faded out...
~
A little while later, snOw was seen heading out of the hospital, walking next to her cousin raYne as they spoke to one another.
"snOw, I know you wanna test your mettle against this gal, but ya gotta pick your spot, darling. She's the Marquee Champ, ya can't just hop right into a match with her, ya know babe?"
snOw stopped in her tracks, and clasped a hand firmly down upon her cousin's shoulder. He turned toward her, and she spoke, with cold intent in her voice.
"raYne... it ain't that I 'wanna' test anything against this chick. It's that I GOTTA. And it ain't just that, either... there's somethin' about Vi. I just can't quite put my finger on it. But I don't like it. There's a lotta fakes in this business. Lotta phonies... bleach-blonde plastic bimbos. But there's another kinda fake. Kinda person that TRIES to be somethin' they ain't. And I can't shake the feelin', that when I see her? I'm lookin' at the biggest fake of 'em all."
raYne stared, a bit puzzled.
"But, snOw... I've known her since 'the fed that shall not be named'... she seems like a pretty decent chick."
snOw shook her head, and turned toward the exit.
"Never trust yer eyes, Reeve. Just yer heart. Yer soul. And that gut feelin' deep in the pit ah yer stomach. I know what I Believe... do you?"
snOw stepped through the door... leaving raYne scratching his head.
