The camera fades in showing two members of The Triad, Aimee Hathor and Rayne Daise, standing backstage at LAW 42 after Amanda Clockworkx was interviewed.
Interviewer: Rayne Daise and Aimee Hathor, you both are signed to a Triple Threat tag team match at Rising Stars 2016. What thoughts do you both have going into the match?
Aimee: We came here to Ladies All Star Wrestling to do one thing primarily and that was to take on the tag team division and ultimately obtain the gold which are the L.A.W. Tag Team Title belts. These titles are currently held by The Frienimies, Amber Richards and Ana Valentine, who have held onto the belts since winning them back in November. They will be defending their titles against the Naughty Girls at Rising Stars, so who knows who will be champion after the event. Regardless of who are the champions, we, Rayne and I, will be taking the belts from them as soon as we get the opportunity.
Interviewer: Speaking of the championship picture, it's been stated that the winner of the Triple Threat tag match will get a future shot at the very championships you were referring to just now.
Aimee smiles before talking and looks over to Rayne who is looking down the hall Amanda had stormed down after her interview time was over earlier. Aimee taps Rayne on the shoulder causing Pro Wrestling's Favorite Weathergirl to turn around focusing back on the interview.
Aimee: Did you hear that, Rayne? We could have a chance at becoming number one contenders for the L.A.W. Tag Team titles! We just need to win our match at Rising Stars!
Rayne smiles and pats Aimee on the shoulder.
Rayne: Oh, Aims, you said we'd have a chance at becoming number one contenders and that's where you are wrong. We have more than a chance, we will become number one contenders because we are going to win the Triple Threat Tag match at Rising Stars.
Aimee smiles at Rayne while adding to what was said.
Aimee: I don't know why I said it that way, I mean, we already know we are the top team going into that match and we already know we will come out victorious. So, why would I not know whether we'd be number one contenders after Rising Stars?
The interviewer tries to say something, but Aimee continues talking.
Aimee: So, allow me to re-state what I said earlier. At Rising Stars, you will see Silent Rage and the Fireshock Sisters facing the new number one contenders for the tag team titles. We came out and told the tag team division we meant business and L.A.W. management took our words with the utmost importance giving us this shot.
Interviewer: So, Aimee, you're no stranger to being in a match which can line you up for a shot at the tag tiles--
Aimee interrupts the interviewer before he can finish his question.
Aimee: I was set up to face off, with my partner at the time, against the tag team champions, The Frienemies, and another team, I believe was the Kenzi and Alizé, if I remember correctly. This was set to be a Triple Threat tag team match for the titles, but unfortunate circumstances caused me to go missing. When I came back, I learned my former partner, Jenn Drew, moved on without even as much as a search for me.
Interviewer: Yes, this was your time as Phage where you earned you position in that match after facing off--
Aimee interrupts again.
Aimee: After we defeated the Naughty Girls, the same team facing off against the champions at Rising Stars. If they take the belts from the Frienemies, The Triad will face two women I've already beaten. If the Naughty Girls fail to dethrone the champions, The Triad will face the Frienimies and I will be able to finally face them like it was fated to happen before I vanished without a trace.
The interviewer tries to ask another question, but Aimee puts her finger up and continues to speak.
Aimee: Why did I disappear in the first place? Let's just say I was helping out a close relative of mine to fulfill her own destiny. It was a necessary occurrence and I've become a better person as a result. I've become who you see before you tonight. No longer Phage, I am Aimee Hathor and I'm reverting back to my Egyptian heritage. This brings me strength as does teaming up with Rayne Daise and Amanda Clockworkx. The Triad is made up of three very strong women in the wrestling scene and those who face us will need to step up their game a bit.
Rayne: Awe, Aims, I didn't know you felt so strongly about your partners. I'm flattered!
Aimee: You and Amanda made quite a splash in a short amount of time in your former federation. I wasn't there with you two back then, but I'd like to think that had I been, we would have still become a force together. It's best it happened here in Ladies All Star Wrestling, though, because we get to showcase directly to the women of wrestling our in-ring abilities and to the teams of this federation our teamwork and cohesiveness.
Rayne: Couldn't have said it better myself, Aims.
Rayne turns away looking preoccupied by something off in the distance...
Aimee: Is that Amanda way back there, Rayne?
Rayne: Yes, she looks to be on a concentrated rampage around the arena here. We need to catch up to her and try to calm her down a bit.
Interviewer: Well, I have to ask you two--
Aimee interrupts... AGAIN!
Aimee: My apologies for having to cut this short. We have a friend to redirect unless L.A.W. wants to have to clean up the mess afterward. When she gets focused, it's best to have her channel her feelings into her training rather than on others. Rayne, I'll catch up, go ahead.
Rayne nods and walks off.
Interviewer: So, Aimee, do you have any closing--
Aimee once again interrupts.
Aimee: Thank you very much for this time and you, just like everyone else, will just have to see us at Rising Stars as we take our rightful place as the number one contenders for the L.A.W. Tag Team Championships.
Aimee walks off leaving the interviewer dumbfounded after not being able to get a word in edgewise. The camera fades to black.
The camera fades in showing Aimee Hathor sitting in a chair dressed in her old Phage wrestling gear. She looks down at her hands as she holds the mask she use to wear when wrestling as her now alter ego. The room appears to be a storage closet of sorts as there are an shelves littered with cleaning supplies and a mop and bucket on the ground nearby.
Aimee: As I sit here staring at a representation of who I use to be, I am reminded of how fierce and fearless I was when fighting in the squared circle. No longer a permanent aspect of my attitude and arsenal, I still am able to tap into this side of me at my whim. This makes me deadly in the ring as well as beautiful...
Scenes superimpose over the scene of Aimee sitting which show quick reflections of her times spent in L.A.W. as Phage. Scenes showing of her attacking Alex Yin and of her fighting the Naughty Girls all alongside Jenn Drew.
Aimee: Who I am now is still who I was then, I just have become better than before. I am, was, and will forever be the one engineered with intelligence and ferocity in an attempt to create the perfect warrior. This Phage was my creators' dream come true while to others, my opposition, my victims, Phage was one of their worst nightmares. Did I enjoy haunting my enemies? Yes, I did. Do I still enjoy this ability to haunt them? Yes, I do... I always will find joy in this. It brings me pleasure to cause pain.
Aimee shakes her head a couple times and drops the mask onto the floor with wide eyes.
Aimee: I... I... What happened?!
The camera fades to black.
The camera fades in to a workshop area. There are spare parts from clocks such as gears, pulleys, and other pieces of scrap metal scattered against one wall with several work benches filling the center of the room. Down the other side of the room are several types of drills, saws, and welding devices. Sitting in a chair reading a magazine with her feet propped up on one of the tables is Rayne Daise. Aimee Hathor walks into the room...
Aimee: Rayne, we have a match at Rising Stars, a pay-per-view match. Why are you just sitting around reading a magazine instead of training?!
Rayne: Why are you so worried, Aims? You are a fighter, a warrior, and you've got a very dark side you are able to tap into. I, for one, can respect that and as far as tapping into dark sides of yourself, I was doing that months ago in UWF, so I can definitely relate to that.
Aimee: Rayne, the match is not just a tag team match, but a Triple Threat Tag Team match. Not only do we have to have each others backs in the match, but we have to be quick to ensure we score the pin-fall or submission victory first. To win this match, we not only have to be able to disable the two other competitors in the ring, but their partners as well. This will take a lot of work on our part which means there will be lots of training and conditioning required to overcome our opposition.
Rayne: Aims, Aims, don't worry so much! You are part of an elite group of women in The Triad and, besides all that, you are teaming with me. I'm a former UWF Intercontinental Champion and former UWF United States Champion. Not to mention, Profession Wrestling's Favorite Weathergirl and leader of the Raynedrops.
Aimee: Rayne, our opponents that we face are no push-overs. We are going against Silent Rage, Lucy Seraphina and Rachel Rosangela, then we also face two women looking to make their own mark on the tag team division, Ignis and Lightning... The Fireshock Sisters.
Rayne takes her feet off the table and sets her magazine down.
Rayne: Wow, Aims, you seem really concerned and worried about this match.
Aimee starts laughing uncontrollably...
Rayne: Aims, what is so funny?
Aimee starts to pace about the room and gesturing with her hands while explaining herself to Rayne.
Aimee: Rayne, I'm actually not worried at all, but you saw how well I portrayed it just now. You even were convinced I was worried, but I'm not in the least. You see, we are facing two teams and while one team is experienced in Ladies All Star Wrestling, you've faced both members before in the ring in another federation. You know what to expect of them and how to prepare and I trust you to help me prepare as well. The other team consists of some new faces to Ladies All Star Wrestling like yourself, but I am definitely not a new face to this federation and know what to expect in the atmosphere of the events. So, one team you hold an advantage over while I do in regards to the other team. What is interesting about all three of the teams in the match is that this is the first pay-per-view event for all of us.
Rayne: Exactly, Aims, nothing to worry about! Now, take it home!
Aimee smiles hugely before asking a question.
Aimee: Should I address our opponents directly or generally?
Rayne: Well, I think directly, but do it however you wish. I mean, I already know about our opponents, but whoever is watching may not.
Aimee: Watching? What do you mean?
Rayne: Have you not noticed the cameraboy following us around this whole time?
Aimee: Rayne, I don't think we are supposed to acknowledge him because this is a promo.
Rayne: I know it's a promo, but, oh nevermind. Just say what you want to say however you want to say it, Aims.
Aimee laughs before beginning her words. The camera slowly closes in on her face as she speaks her mind.
Aimee: Fireshock Sisters... Ignis and Lightning. A "submission specialist" and a "suplex specialist" respectively and allegedly. Why do I say allegedly? Well, let's take a look at the facts here starting with Lightning. Your claim to fame, as I just mentioned, is being a specialist with suplexes. Now, I'm highly intelligent to say the least and as such, I can safely draw the conclusion that a wrestler doing only one specific type of move is not as effective as a wrestler who has a whole arsenal of moves at their disposal. There's a thing called unpredictability in this sport and really any sport and that gives an advantage to those delivering this aspect to the opposition. A suplex can be countered and can also be outright avoided in many ways. Two such ways are keeping the opponent in front of you and avoiding any situations where your opponent could get you into a headlock position. Primarily, those are the two most common starting positions for suplexes and by taking away the opportunity to execute suplexes, Lightning, the majority of your arsenal is neutralized.
Aimee shakes her head for a moment then continues...
Aimee: Looking at another aspect, the suplex isn't really an efficient move energy-wise as it takes a tremendous amount of energy to not only pick up your opponent, but to drop them back. The suplex causes as much energy, and sometimes more energy, lost on the part of the one executing the hold as it does to the person being placed into the hold. Given the nature of the suplex, a wrestler executing the move has to fall with their opponent and this opens them up to the possibility of self injury. That's no concern to you, though, Lightning, because you are a specialist in the move, afterall. So much a specialist that of your strongest moves, your favored signatures and your finishers, only one is a suplex. This suplex finisher of yours isn't even your first one to go to.
The camera backs up as Aimee turns toward Rayne.
Aimee: Hey, Rayne, have you heard what Lightning's suplex finisher is called?
Rayne: No, Aims, I don't learn all my opponents' moves like you and your mom do.
Aimee: She calls it the Three-Handled Moss-Covered Family Gredunza.
Rayne: What the actual.. Well, that's not fun, it doesn't even have anything to do with lightning.
Aimee: None of her named moves do.
Rayne: She fails on sticking with the gimmick in my book, then.
Aimee: Yes, but the move itself is a Spinning Bridging Fisherman Suplex.
Rayne: So she's doing a Rayne Dropper.
Rayne starts laughing hysterically.
Aimee: Yes, one of her finishers is one of your signature moves!
Rayne stops laughing and composes herself.
Rayne: Aims, I don't even have to do a finisher to beat her with one of her own move! Oh, I'm loving our match even more now!
Aimee nods to Rayne then turns to face the camera as it closes in on her face again.
Aimee: Lightning, in closing, once your suplexes are neutralized, you will be just like one of those kids playing a videogame pressing the same button over and over while Rayne and I will be the ones dodging, blocking, and countering you. Then, just like that kid, you will be whining, crying, and getting frustrated because you cannot amount an offense. You may want to tag in your partner at that point, if she hasn't already been dispatched by us in the match.
Aimee slaps her hands together in a tagging motion.
Aimee: So, then we have Ignis, the "Firebird," to deal with as well. She states she is a submission specialist and let's look at the definition of such a wrestler. A submission specialist is well-versed in various submission holds and not only is able to execute the moves, but is able to target any one part of an opponent's body to weaken it throughout the match. A submission specialist also is able to counter submissions and can even turn non-submission moves around in their favor to execute submissions that way. How do I know what the definition is for submission specialist? My mother and Triad member, Amanda Clockworkx, is a submission specialist and she does a lot more than the arm submissions you employ. While the arm is an effective body part to attack in a match as it takes away an opponent's effectiveness to execute slams, there are other parts just as, if not more effective. I'm talking about the legs, the back, the shoulders, and the neck.
Aimee starts smiling again.
Aimee: Ignis, you, just like your sister, decided to adopt an offense that is predictable and easily avoidable. Just like your sister, you will only end up frustrated and angry as you become completely ineffective in our match. Ignis, just like your sister, you will be on the canvas wondering how your team didn't win this Triple Threat Tag Team match at Rising Stars.
Rayne comes into the view of the camera handing a bottle of water to Aimee. Aimee takes the bottle, removes the cap, and takes a sip before continuing on.
Aimee: Silent Rage, Lucy Seraphina and Rachel Rosangela, the Vampiric Assassin and Mistress Rage. You two are veterans in the ring and in the federation and you definitely have an experience advantage over me. You do not, however, hold an advantage over my partner, Rayne. This is because, as stated before, she's faced you both in another federation and this will help her teach me what to expect from you both in the ring.
Aimee thinks for a moment before speaking.
Aimee: Amanda, Rayne, and I have been training together for a month or so, we are fresh in the ring, and have wrestled matches together in some of the local promotions around Tallahassee to get a feel for how we all mesh. All of this was done before we signed to L.A.W. because we wanted to be sure we'd be a force to be reckoned with and have a bite just as big as our bark. What am I getting at with this? Well, Silent Rage, if they've not done the same as us or teamed up in any other federations, then you are not as experienced of a tag team as I thought. You have not been utilized since LAW #38 back in December when you defeated the Naught Girls, the current number one contenders for the L.A.W. Tag Team titles. Shouldn't you be the ones facing the Frienemies at Rising Stars? Why were you passed up? Why are you so under utilized? I stated previously that none of the teams in our match have fought on a L.A.W. pay-per-view and that includes you, Silent Rage.
Aimee puts down her bottle of water.
Aimee: Silent Rage, I could break you down as individuals based off of your in-ring abilities, moves, and other things, but... Your moves aren't very exciting, save for your finishers, maybe. Your team is all talk and theatrics outside the ring, but when inside the ring, your moves are about as boring as a Samantha Tolson promo. I know this, Rayne knows this, the fans know this, and L.A.W. management knows this because that's why you are underutilized and passed up for title shots. Maybe you'll show everyone something more exciting in our match at Rising stars, but I'm not holding my breath.
Rayne walks up standing beside Aimee as the camera backs up.
Aimee: Silent Rage, Fireshock Sisters, and eventually the Frienemies, take a good look at the future of Ladies All Star Wrestling, the future of the tag team division, and the future L.A.W. Tag Team champions! Silent Rage and Fireshock Sisters, remember in our match that when the Eye of Horus opens, do yourself a favor and just... tap... out!
Aimee throws up the sign of The Triad making two "I love you" signs with her hands and putting them together at the thumbs and index fingers creating a triangle held up to her left eye. Rayne does the same as the camera cuts to static.
