”Some say love it is a rainbow that mends a broken heart or a broken bond. The Boardwalk Angels have a special kind of bond that can’t be broken. We are stronger than most combined. Set a goal, aim for it, achieve it. Tonight is my chance for Validation.”

Leaning against the railing at the famous Boardwalk down in Atlantic City, New Jersey we see Courtney Leinart-Steele looking out at the water as the waves are slowly starting to move about and her hair blowing in the wind. She lets out a sigh as the wind continues to blow her hair. Just then, her phone buzzes and she notices a text from her husband Jacob. She smiles as she reads the text while replying back to him.
”Not many people are aware of what it’s like to be apart of something so beautiful and so amazing. But, some are aware that I recently got married on Valentine’s Day this year and everything has been going great for me from all the travels together, playing video games at home, to just being in each other’s arms every single day and night. I know, I know, nobody wants to hear about all this lovey dovey stuff, right? Well, when you’re in love with someone who protects you, cares for you, loves you unconditionally and will pretty much do anything for you then you’ll know what it feels like to be in love and have the world in the palm of your hand. A new side of me has been shown at another company, a far more worse side of me and let’s just say it’s following me everywhere and it’s going to unleash on anybody who stands before me in the ring. Whether it’s Kenzi, that stupid Kool-Aid Queen, Kate Steele or my opponent for Validation, Jessika Hyde. Nobody is safe from evil and evil lurks those who hide from it.”

Walking along the boardwalk making her way over to the beach, she walks down the steps of the boardwalk and onto the sand barefoot as the breeze continues to blow her hair. As she’s walking she lets the water hit her feet as the waves move up the shore while she waits for her friends Zoey and Farrah. She needs not wait too long as her fellow Angels are soon within sight. Zoey has on a hat and sunglasses against the potent sun, black and purple from suit to sarong to sandals and the knapsack held over her shoulder. Farrah wears an open Devils jersey over her multi-colored bikini and white sandals, giving a little wave to Courtney as she sees her.
”Hey, girl… there you are.”
Courtney turns her head to see her fellow Angels walking towards her with a smile. She’s wearing her infamous red bikini that her husband got her with her hair put in a high pony.
”Hey girlfriends. ‘Bout time you both showed up.”
”It’s my fault we’re late. We had to set up for later this evening…”
There’s the faintest bit of tension that passes between Zoey and Farrah in that look, but they put it aside quickly enough.
”But it’s all handled now. Shame Crystal couldn’t join us.”
”Yeah well I sent my text message to you two only just because you two are closer to me than she is, plus I don’t know her well enough.”
”Fair enough. She’s good people, though. We need to start including her on outings like this.”
”Farrah is right. We’ll start small… let everyone get used to one another.”
Another pause, one in which Farrah maintains her calm while Zoey looks uneasy.
”So… you ready for this?”
Courtney stops and looks at her fellow Angels as the wind blows her hair.
”Agreed. I think we should have small outings where Crystal is included so we can get to know one another, but moving right along...yes, I am ready for this.”
”Jessika Hyde. She’s a bit of a weird one, though we’re hardly ones to talk. Everyone’s got a bit of strange in them. She just wears it all out in the open with no filter. That unhealthy infatuation with Katalina, though…”
The Jersey Hellcat shakes her head slightly as she and Zoey fall into step with Courtney, heading further down the beach as they scope out a good spot to take in some sun.
”It’s going to get her hurt.”
”No worries, Zee. I will handle Jessika for you. Just might make her tap out to my submission move or surprise everyone by using my husband’s finisher.”
Not realizing for a moment that she was being spoken to, Zoey has to shake herself out of a bit of a trance. She nods slightly and offers a small smile to Courtney.
”I’m sure you’ll handle her just fine.”
”Of course I will, love. Us Angels got to stick together through anything.”
The magician’s response is to smile slightly and… that’s all. Farrah gives her a look, half-concerned, half-agitated, before turning back to Courtney.
”Where it concerns Guilty Pleasures, all we ask is that you keep an eye on things from a distance. We can handle them in the ring. That’s been proven. But if any of their buddies try to stick their noses in… you and Crystal know what to do..”
Courtney listens to Farrah as she is speaking and slowly nods her head in agreement. She continues walking until she reaches the bench area of the beach.
”You got it. After suffering a loss to us I am certain that they are highly pissed considering I got the pin on one of their partners after landing a superkick. But oh well, Jessika is the next victim on my list.”
”That’s right. She’s crazy, but she’s not stupid. Keep your focus no matter what she throws at you.”
All three take a seat, with Zoey retrieving her phone briefly from her bag and checking it with a soft exhale before putting it back. She offers bottled water to her fellow Angels, sitting back to take a sip of hers as she remains quiet. Courtney grabs a bottled water as she notices her friend being awfully quiet.
”Everything okay, Zee? You’re being quiet today and that’s very unusual of you.’
”I just have a lot on my mind and I’m not sure how to handle it.”
She turns to Courtney for a moment, then back to the ocean and the people running past. It all seemed like a blur to her.
”I’ll be alright eventually.”
She leans back against the bench after hearing what her fellow Angel had said to her. Still kind of worried about her friend she leans forward looking at her.
”I hear you, girlfriend. Everything will get better. I’ve been stressed for that past couple of weeks. I snapped at Riley McCown because I thought she was flirting with my husband. I don’t take kindly to that crap.”
”This has been building since Farrah and I won the tag titles. It’s not hyperbole when I say I’m at my limit right now and that people...”
She pauses for a moment, leaning forward and lowering her head. She shakes it once before continuing her thought.
”...people might see a side of me they aren’t ready for.”
Listening to her fellow Angel, she nods her head in agreement as she has been wanting to show a different side of her to everyone for a long time. She sighs for a moment before speaking.
”If that’s what you got to do, then do it love. Me and Farrah will always be here for you no matter what. I’m to the point where I want to unleash all the anger I have towards the comments people have toward my husband and just unleash it on my opponents.”
”I hope it doesn’t come to that. I don’t know if I can make it back if I dip into that darkness.”
As the sun slowly starts to set in the distance, Courtney gets up from the bench stretching and putting her sandals back on as she looks at her fellow Angels while they stand up. She grabs her phone glancing at it for a moment as her husband sent her another text regarding dinner. She hugs her Angels goodbye and walks off into the distance towards the Boardwalk.
*Nowhere to hide*
*San Antonio, Texas*
Standing in front of the hotel mirror looking at herself as she finishes touching up her hair before applying makeup..she flashes a smile as she sees her husband sitting up in the bed playing his PS4. She shakes her head slowly as she starts applying makeup to her face.
”Where should I bare to begin this extravagant discussion on how the Boardwalk Angels took down Guilty Pleasures without any trouble whatsoever….hmm? Oh, I know exactly where to begin...you see, if I do recall the night of the show, it was I who pinned a member of that idiotic team of yours that you claim is as tough as nails. How’s it feel? Be honest with me for just a moment, will you? How does it feel knowing that the so called laughing stock of professional wrestling got the W? I highly doubt you all are smart enough to answer that question correctly, but I digress only because not everybody in this business is smart and I’m already looking at you three when that thought comes to mind.”
She stops to think for a moment before speaking again as she grabs her foundation.
”But as we all know, that was last week and tonight is a new week and that means a new showcase of LAW. Now, I’m unaware of who my opponent is but apparently she’s a weirdo and I don’t just mean that by her personality or how she acts, but her appearance overall in the ring. Jessika Hyde is it? Yep, that sounds about right to me. So, Jessika, what do you know about me or of me..other than the fact that I’m a member of the Boardwalk Angels? Is it how fabulous I am? No that’s probably not it because that’s a given. Is it how experienced and talented I am? Hell, you probably agree with those bimbos with their opinions of me...I bet I know what it is...You know I can beat you right? If that’s the thought you have running through your head everyday, then you’re probably correct my dear. I don’t play nicely in the ring which means I don’t skip my way down the ramp like some crazy ass lunatic who hopes she trips herself so the fans can have something to laugh at. I’ll go ahead and set the record straight….I am not the laughing stock of this company or professional wrestling...I am THE greatest female wrestler ever.”
She laughs for a moment bending her head down as she notices her husband is laughing at her as well while he plays his video game.
”I know what you’re probably thinking..conceited much? Maybe just a tad or possibly more than that, but that’s because I have faith in myself and more confidence than I can say about you Jessika. Do you strive off of weirdness to get you through the day? If so, than wrestling isn’t the career for you sweetness...comedy maybe, but not wrestling. Don’t get me wrong, everyone loves a little comedy within professional wrestling every now and then, but not as some lame ass gimmick. Be original darling, it looks better on you and the company. Take my fellow Angels as an example...Zoey, she’s known as the Magician and a Sorcerer...not that she’s Harry Potter or anything, but that’s her gimmick and it fits her personality...Farrah on the other hand is known as the Rated-F bomb of the Boardwalk Angels...and me, well, I am known as a lot of things and Platinum Angel being one of them. See? It’s all about creativity sweetie and that’s something you seem to lack. I’ll help you though.”
”And by helping you, I mean kicking you so hard in your head that maybe you can come up with something unique and not so weird. I’m done playing the nice one of the group...it’s time I let my vicious side run wild and free and tonight, I will do just that on you. You have been the lucky chosen one to face me in the ring and allow me to unleash the evil on you and serve you an ass kickin’ from hell. I just hope it’s something you can handle because if it’s not then I’m sure a triple beat down from the Boardwalk Angels will help you understand your surroundings a lot better.”
She finishes applying on her makeup as she stands up from the chair wearing booty shorts and a tank top. She walks over and sits on the bed watching her husband play video games as she smiles.
”You only have this one shot against me Jessika, so don’t try to blow it...and just a little message to those bimbos who are probably watching this because they have nothing better to do….I dare one of you or all three to try and attack me during my match and believe me, there will be hell to pay as Zoey, Farrah, and myself are ready and always willing for some fun with you three. I mean after all, we did kick some asses at the last show. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about little Crystal over here...she has a job and that job is to make sure you three don’t interfere or try anything stupid during my match or Zoey and Farrah’s. Just remember, we have eyes in the back of our heads. Oh, and Jessika, be ready for a fight of your life...so bring your A game.”
.......I don’t need validation from anyone but myself…..
She grabs the remote turning the camera off as she sits on the bed of the hotel room watching her husband play video games. She flashes a smile as she turns off the camera after saving her promo video.
