From Gabby’s Blog:
Tick. Tock. The countdown is on.
Anyway, I’m going to Validation, and I get to wrestle a very familiar opponent in Melanie Gabrielle. I have tons of respect for Mel, I really do. It was always fun to wrestle her, and I know she and I will tear the house down. That’s always what she and I do each and every time we face off. Melanie is a great wrestler and deserves to have a great match. I aim to give that to her.
But that’s one of the perks of being the Franchise player in LAW.
Yes, it’s a made up title, yes, it’s more of less a joke, but still, I can’t think of someone else who deserves to call themselves that. I give my all every time I go out there and perform. I don’t need to hide behind anything, I stand on my own. I’m one of the few who actually does, stand on their own. So, there’s that. But that also applies to Mel. Mel has made no bones about it when she wrestlers, she’s on top on her game, and at the top of her game. That makes this match all the more exciting for me to compete in. It doesn’t have to be for a championship for me to get up for a match. Not in the slightest. I’m proud and happy to go out there each and every time I’m booked I wish Mel nothing but luck, she’s going to need it.
And then, I set my sights on bigger goals. I have to reclaim what’s mine. The LAW championship. It means so much to me, but unlike folks around here. I plan to earn it back. It means I have to win Queen of the Ring. And that is the next goal for me. I remember that first year being the Marquee champion, and being eliminated the next year by Mackenzie. I didn’t do what I knew I could do. I cost myself a chance, but in the end it worked out. But, being on the verge of becoming a 3 time LAW champion is appaealing, and when that happens, no one is going to be able to say I walked into anything. No one is going to say I lucked into a championship match. I will enter my name to at the very least Queen of the ring Qualifying. I have my sights set. So, Mackenzie, or Amy Jo Smyth, will indeed get a few months to cherish having the LAW championship because I’m not coming to reclaim it just yet. I’m going to earn my way back, and then, I am taking back what has been mine for the better part of two years. I’m putting everyone on notice. You get in my way, and you will be dealt with. I will not stop, I will take down everyone who is in the way. Fair warning. No more Mrs. Nice Gabby. Trust me.
