With an outside shot of the Barclays Center we see Abby Addiction herself walking up to the back entrance door, where she stops at a security guard, who is looking down at a clipboard in his hands.
"Name?"
"I'm not on that list, I was invited by a friend who's in the big match."
The Guard still doesn't look up as he keeps his eyes on the list.
"Their name."
"Christy Chaos."
The guard looks over the list then shakes his head.
"Sorry she hasn't arrived..."
He stops when he looks up.
"Abby Addiction."
Abby is a little taken back that the man reckognized her. Cocking an eyebrow she replies.
"Yes, that would be me. You watch LAW?"
He shrugs a little.
"A little here and there... wait, you're in LAW?"
"Ouch."
The guard chuckles and shakes his head.
"Sorry I didn't mean anything by it. EWE is where I know you from. EWE was the shit and so was you. No doubt, you ruled that Women's Division."
"Thanks, but, that's in the past."
"Unfortunately, The good die young as they say."
"Not really sure if that applies. I mean outside of companies like the WWE... is 12 years really that young for such a company?"
"Fair point."
He gives a slight shrug.
"Curious, though... why haven't you joined what some call it's offspring, ran by Christy?"
"I've been over that enough and rather not get into it. What about yourself? If you were such a big fan of EWE, why didn't you apply with HSW instead?"
"First of all I like my job here and this company. Secondly, HSW didn't even exist when I took this job."
"Fair enough, I won't pry which you would have chose if it had."
"Good, like I said, I like my job.. and you never know who might be listening."
The pair chuckle.
"Anyways, yeah, Christy isn't here. Actually the entire bus load of people she's on, hasn't arrived yet. You're more than welcome to go in and wait, though. Enjoy the show regardless."
"Just like that? No offense but what if I'm a terrorist?"
The guard chuckles and nods.
"The sexiest one I've ever seen. Regardless, it actually says here on this sheet by her name that she has an invited guest. It just doesn't say their name, just A.A. Pretty sure we know what that stands for now."
Abby smirks and nods.
"So I guess Arn Anderson hasn't arrived to make you think otherwise."
The guard chuckles and shakes his head.
"No he hasn't, but if he does I'll be sure to have you removed from the building."
Abby chuckles and nods as she steps past him.
"Enjoy the show."
She gives a nod and walks on into the building. She walks the halls of the building, taking it in. It's always weird to be backstage at new company. Especially one she's not signed to, nor competing at. She gives a nod and soft smile to some of the CWF Wrestlers she passes and other various guests they have pulled in for the big match, her mentor scheduled to be one of them despite she's not here yet. As she walks the halls, her mind wanders a bit until she stops and looks at a poster on the wall. It's an advertisement for the big Golden Intentions match. At the bottom of the poster there is names of everyone signed to compete. She smiles at the name Christy Chaos. Then there's two other names she looks at. Tala Sugay & Jaslene Sugay. Before she can do much else she's tapped on the shoulder. Abby turns around to see a backstage reporter for CWF. Abby of course does not reckognize this individual.
"Are you here for the big match?"
"No... just here to support a friend of mine. And scout a couple of opponents, though I gotta be honest, I didn't know they was in it either."
The reporter looks to the poster then back to Abby.
"The Sugay Sisters aren't here yet, actually."
Abby cocks an eyebrow.
"How did you..."
"Abby Addiction, Ladies All-Star Wrestling."
"I'm impressed."
"I like to keep tabs on other companies. You got a big Tag Match on the next Show against them... the big question is, who is your partner?"
"Wait, are you really trying to interview me right now?"
"I'm bored waiting for the show to begin, so why not?"
"Other than the fact we work for entirely different companies?"
The reporter shrugs.
"Has to be worth some creative points... It's new... ish."
Abby chuckles and shakes her head.
"So how bout it, who is she?"
"We'll find out on LAW 69."
"No come on... you can tell me. I don't think there's any camera's watching."
They look around to be sure, but who is there? Maybe there is? Maybe there isn't? That is unknown, but Abby chuckles none the less.
"It wouldn't matter if there is or not. I don't even know who they are."
"Wait, what?"
"Yeah, I don't know who my partner is."
"How is that?"
Abby shrugs.
"Guess I was just trying to force myself to get a little more involved in the company, by seeing if I can find a partner on short notice. I guess we'll see."
"Wow, brave move."
~Not that you'd need one anyways with who you got.~
Abby looks around confused then to the reporter.
"Did you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
Abby sighs and shrugs.
"Nothing, I guess."
"So you have a very experienced Sugay Sisters. Well, they have a bond anyways, they've known eachother their entire lives... that will obviously show great teamwork. Yet, you don't have a partner, and could find yourself in a handicap match. That's got to be tough to think about."
Abby gives a nod.
"It is. I mean I saw these girls competing a few days ago when my mentor invited me..."
~You saw them fail.~
Abby tries to ignore it... she knows the voice she hears, but doesn't want to think about why she's hearing it in her head. Trying to forget the fact she might be going crazy.
"to her company's 1st PPV. I watched a little of it backstage before I had to leave. I left right after the Tag Title match, where they put on a good performance."
~No no No! This crap doesn't work anymore Abby. You've been that girl long enough. It's time to shake it up, and you know it.~
Abby once again shakes it off as the reporter cocks their eyebrow clearly seeing something going on with her.
"Are you okay?"
Abby nods.
"I'm fine."
"I think" she thinks to herself...
~You will be, when you embrace the calling you have waited too long for. Give in.~
"So as you was saying, they put on a good performance."
"Yea, they came up short, but it was still a commendable effort. I have a bit of re..."
~No you don't. Don't say it.~
Abby struggles to finish the word and the reporter looks concerned.
~It's time, Abby. You don't have to turn your back on your fans... but you DO need a spine.~
"I re..."
~Say it.~
"I re...sent The Sugay Sisters and everything they stand for. I mean, sure they like to talk the talk, but where was they when it was time to walk, the walk? Where are they tonight in this match? Where was the dominance they promised at Summer BreakDown? They beat a couple of has-beens... and then got beat by the 1st real challenge they could face."
~My work is done here.~
The reporter just stares blankly, not sure what to say.
"Not only are they cheap, cookie cutter trash with as cliche insults as you can get... oh LOL You're Fat and Ugly."
Abby rolls her eyes.
"They are also a couple of Grade A Cowards. All their talk, all their big game about possibly staying, what happened the moment they lost? They turned tail and never gave another look. Because they are trash like that. They don't know the meaning of being a champion. They don't know the meaning of being anything but a couple of cheap and pathetic trash. I lost the Queen of the Ring tournament... If the bracket had been done ANY different, I would of been no less than a Semi-Finalist, if not right there at the end... but no, of course, I had the short straw, I drew the eventual winner right out of the gate. I take nothing from Gaby and I will not do that. She got the better of me, she earned it. The fact is, I lost, and I lost way sooner than I would of liked... but yet... here I still am."
"Well we're not technically in..."
Abby ignores them and keeps going.
"The last match I had... I lost to an even worse piece of shit than these two. Why? Not because she was a better wrestler than me, oh god no of course not. I have half a mind to believe she was put over, because she streamed a lot longer than I did."
The reporter cocks an eyebrow... now we're blurring lines a little, no way around that, but moving on.
"I hope not, I really do. I can't promise I will be here much longer if that is infact the case, so let's hope not. The fact is, I will not be filming myself for 3 hours, you don't need a documentary of my life... I'm a WRESTLER, not a Reality TV Star. Maybe I joined the wrong company in that case, that is true... just point me to an actual Wrestling Company, worth a damn, with a Women's Division and I'll be on my way if you want me to. I have been over time and time again why I have no desire to jump divisions... that's not my desire."
She shrugs it off.
"But I digress... the fact is, obviously I'm upset about that last one... but for the time being... I'm still here. I'm sucking it up, and standing up for what I believe it... I'm not a coward like them two. I hope there is a camera, I hope somehow they do see this. So they can see for themselves that I simply do not care about them or what god awful insult they want to throw my way. Who my partner is? If I find a partner? Who cares? I won't need one against trash like them. I'm a former champion... multiple time champion... Singles AND Tag... it doesn't matter. Say it til your face is blue, that's in the past, that doesn't matter... the fact is, what exactly have they done with their careers other than flop at the time they needed to deliver?"
"Well..."
"I flopped in the Queen of the Ring, yes I did. We're all due for it at some point no one is perfect. The fact remains I have the experience, that they do not. Whether anyone wants to acknowledge or not, is their own problem. It won't stop me from wrestling circles around these two clowns. Partner or no partner... The Sugays most certainly cannot and will NEVER Beat The Addiction."
Abby blows past the very confused Reporter who had just watched this nice girl go complete 180 on them. Total bi-polar moment that would confuse anyone. Abby herself doesn't fully understand what came over her as she walks the halls once more. She opens a locker room door ready to sit down and cool off. Sort her head on what just happened. That's when she spots... a familar face.
