There’s an old saying that there is no rest for the wicked, and so now that the six women tag team match against the Queens of Wrestling and Saltwater Suzy is in the bag, the time for celebration has been and gone. Now I have my next challenge, which is in the form of one of my newest sisters, my fellow Angel and LAW Marquee Champion, Crystal Hilton.
But first, after everything that’s been happening lately with my friend Seleana Zdunich a.k.a Cat, I figured I’d try and see if she fancied having a night out on the town with me. I know that even though it hasn’t been all that long since Twain’s passing that she may be a bit reluctant to get back out there but I know it’s what he would have wanted for her.
She deserves to be happy…
I walk up to the front door of where Cat’s staying here in California, dressed in a pair of black leather high heeled shoes, a plain black catsuit since I hate wearing dresses and a plain black Panama Jack hat. Raising my balled up fist to the door, I knock on it three times before standing there, waiting for a few moments before Cat answers the door.
“Hey, Cat!”
Sel stands there in a pair of cutoff jeans and a light blue New Zealand t-shirt.
“Simba? Heya, Chickie, how’s it?”
“I’m great thanks, honey. I’ve got a bit of surprise for you, mind if I come in?”
She steps aside and invites me inside the rental.
“Ash put me up here for the moment. Thought I’d enjoy a moment’s peace.”
I look around the place, it’s pretty decent in all honesty, it’s got relatively plain decor but it seems nice and cozy.
“It’s nice. So how have you been holding up?”
Seleana closes the door and then turns to face me, her eyes seemingly trying not to give everything away and failing. She slumps against the door and barely nods as if convincing herself it’s ok to say it out loud.
“I don’t know, really. I manage because I usually have something to focus on but then when I don’t I’m right back to having thoughts I’m sure would make Li and Zee scream.”
Walking over to her, I pull her towards me into an embrace, rubbing her back softly for a few moments before breaking away from her. Placing both hands on the sides of her face, I stare deeply into her eyes.
“I understand, honey...I really do. It’s hard, I know...but I know that wherever Twain is right now, he would want you to continue living your life to the fullest, no matter what. He will forever be in your heart, that’s a fact...but you’re a young, beautiful, loving woman who deserves all the happiness in the world.”
Taking a few steps away from her, I outstretch my arms and twirl in a circle, showing off my outfit with a big cheesy grin on my face.
“And that’s why I’m taking you out tonight...and I’m gonna be your wingwoman!”
She stares at me for a second in astonishment, as if the idea was the single most shocking thing I could have said to her at that moment.
“I…you…what?”
Lowering my arms, I look at her rather sheepishly and lightly shrug my shoulders.
“I thought I would try and help cheer you up a bit by taking you out on the town and see if we can find someone for you. I mean, we don’t have to if you don’t want too...I just thought it’d be fun. Sorry if I came on a bit too strong…”
Her eyes start searching me and I can see she’s working up to something.
“You don’t think they’ll be put off at me?”
“Why would they be put off by you? Look at you! You’re absolutely gorgeous! If I was single and you were into girls, you can bet your bubble butt I’d be hitting on you if I saw you at a bar or club or anywhere!”
I giggle a little at that last remark as I see her cheeks flush with color.
“I mean Twain’s family. Will they be put off at me that I looked?”
“Of course not, honey. They know not to expect you to turn into the creepy cat lady who lost someone they loved and instead of getting back out into the world just ends up staying at home all day and adopts cats so she has some sort of companionship. They’ll understand, trust me...and if they don’t? Who are they to judge how you live your life?”
She nods slowly, nervously, like she’s mulling my words over in her head.
“The loneliness has been the worst part.”
“Nobody likes to be lonely, honey...it’s the way we are, we love having companionship. So what do you say? Shall we hit the town and try to find you a man? It shouldn’t be too difficult, I mean, like I said, if I were single and you were into girls...I’d definitely hit on you.”
I give her a cheeky little wink as she once again blushes bright red.
“The last girl I had didn’t look nearly as good as you do, Chickie.”
Girl? My eyebrow rises as I look at my friend in confusion.
“I didn’t know you were into girls as well as guys…”
Seleana can’t seem to help but smile at me as if she’s a kid who just spilled the beans on something.
“I think we all are in my family. Alexi was with her tag partner, Raevyn Lilja, before she married Robbie Priest. Zenna was into guys before she met Li and Katra’s always kind of been like me, looking at a bit of everything and saying, “I’ll have a bit of that and then a bit of that,” regardless of what packaging it came in.”
Folding my arms across my stomach, I cock my head to the side and smirk whilst tapping my foot.
“You continue to surprise me, Seleana Zdunich! But now that you say that, I have an idea...excuse me for a moment.”
Reaching into my pocket, I pull out my cell phone and send a quick text to Crystal, that’s Crystal Hilton, my fellow Boardwalk Angel...not my sister-in-law. I ain’t trying to ruin my brother’s marriage, haha.
“This may be much easier than I originally thought…”
Seleana frowns at me, confusion quite obviously taking hold of her for the moment.
“What might be easier?”
“Finding you someone, silly! I have a friend whose marriage recently ended sadly and so she’s back on the market and she was asking me the other day if I knew anyone who was single and that person is you.”
I feel my phone vibrate and I check my messages and I let out a squeak of excitement as I discover that not only is she in Cali too but that she’s willing to meet Cat.
”Good news then?”
Nodding, I quickly send a text back before putting my phone away and looking back up to Cat.
“She said she’s up for meeting you, if you want? The ball is in your court now.”
Seleana nods, visibly intrigued by this idea.
“I’m keen to give it a go.”
“Awesome! Well how about you go get dressed and then we’ll get going shall we?”
She nods before disappearing off upstairs to her room as I make my way into the lounge and make myself comfortable while I wait for her.
This is so exciting! I can't wait for Cat and Crystal to meet! This is going to be so much fun! Okay, Stacy, time to load up your arrows of love again!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cat and I watch the sun as it begins to slowly set over the ocean here at Moonshadows in Malibu, a club recommended to me by Zoey and Farrah. It’s quiet and peaceful as I take a sip of my Grasshopper cocktail, which is crème de menthe, crème de cacao and some full fat cream, it basically tastes like liquid mint chocolate ice cream. I then turn to my friend, who’s now wearing a beautiful red dress that really shows off her curves.
She nervously takes a sip of her own drink, a Pink Squirrel, which I’d actually never heard of but considering it consists of crème de noyaux, crème de cacao and some vanilla ice cream, it’s certainly something I may try myself sometime.
“You okay, honey?”
Seleana nods slowly, almost like she's trying to convince herself as much as she's trying to convince me.
“Just a little nervous is all.”
I rub her back softly and give her a reassuring smile.
“Just be yourself, you’re a lovely woman and so is the friend I’m introducing you too. I think you two will hit it off.”
She smiles, seeming to blush slightly as she does so.
“That’d be nice, Chickie.”
It isn’t too long before Crystal shows up, clad in a blue and white floral print dress and she is wearing a pair of closed toe white heels. She smiles as she slowly walks over to where Cat and I are while holding her small Michael Kors handbag. She should be smiling but considering everything that happened to her between her former husband and one of her recent ex boyfriends she was somehow hoping that her night could get better.
“Hey there Stacy, sorry I am late, but you know how us Hollywood stars are...we just have to be fashionably late…”
She says as she tries to put up a facade, to which I decide that since this is supposed to be a night of fun, I refuse to press the issue and go along with said facade.
“It’s okay, honey...it’s great to see you.”
We share a quick embrace before parting away from one another, I then step aside to show Cat off to my fellow Angel and smile.
“Crystal? This is Seleana Zdunich. Cat? This is Crystal Hilton.”
Cat’s eyes go wide.
“Wow, du är väldigt vacker…”
Shaking herself, she blushes as she realizes what she just said.
“I’m sorry, heya, Chickie, how’s it?”
Crystal’s eyes open wide too as she looks at me before she slowly turns her attention over to Cat. I can see a smile escaping out of her lips as her eyes never leave off of Cat and her body.
“Oh excuse me for being so rude. My name is Christina but most people call me Crystal for short. Anyway it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
I watch as Crystal walks over to Seleana and she can’t decide if she should go for a handshake or not but instead she pulls Cat in and gives her a long passionate hug.
“I think I’ll leave you two to get to know each other a little better…”
Quickly finishing off my drink as my two friends break away from each other, I place the empty glass on the bar before giving them both a hug.
“Have fun you two...and don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”
I give them a cheeky wink and a smile before giving them a wave and taking my leave.
Cupid strikes again, baby! I think that’s like four for four now? I truly am a matchmaking goddess! Maybe I should change my name to Aphrodite, hehe.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Having this match is something that I’m really looking forward too. It’s my opportunity to not only prove to Crystal that I belong in the Boardwalk Angels, but to also solidify myself as a top contender here at Ladies All-Star Wrestling.
Right now when people look at the Boardwalk Angels and see that Zoey, Farrah and Crystal all have gold and I don’t? They’ll automatically see me as the weak link of the group, of course, it’s not like I haven’t already been underestimated here in LAW by some of those so-called ‘Cool Kids’, but I digress…
Point is, I need to leave my mark at LAW #70 against one of their champions!
The camera flickers to life as I’m here, sitting on the cream coloured sofa in my hotel room located at the Hilton Hotel, not far from the Williams Arena where LAW #70 will be taking place.
Dressed in a pair of black Converse trainers, a pair of skin tight black denim trousers and my black ‘This is my zombie killing hoodie’, I cross my left leg over my right and look into the camera with a smile on my face.
“So at LAW #69, I delivered when it came to proving my worth to the LAW Tag Team Champions, Zoey Madigan-Star and Farrah Cornett when we successfully defeated the team of the Queens of Wrestling and Saltwater Suzy. However now, it’s time to prove my worth to the other Boardwalk Angel, the current reigning LAW Marquee Champion, Crystal Hilton. This time however, it’s a different challenge, as I’m not going to be teaming up with her to take on another tag team, no...I’m going up against her one on one.”
Leaning forward, I pick up the bottle of water that was resting on the table, removing the cap, I take a small drink from it before replacing the top and putting it back down, refocusing my attention on the camera.
“Now Crystal, I know that the reason why we’re facing each other is probably your own doing because I remember you contacting me via Twitter, expressing your desire to face me in the squared circle. It truly is an honor and a privilege that you were so adamant to get into the ring with me, I really appreciate that you wanted so badly to share a ring with me and I promise that I will give you the fight of your life come October 10th.”
Taking a deep breath in and out, I continue to smile into the camera.
“And yes, we may be friends...we may be sisters...we may even be fellow Angels...but when we step in between those ropes at LAW episode seventy? All of that is thrown out of the window and all you will be to me once that first bell rings is my opponent, and that will remain the case all the way up until the final bell rings.”
And now, my smile fades, however I do not display a look of anger for I have no issues with my opponent and have no reason to be as such.
“The fact that you are a champion makes this match even bigger for me than anything else. With you being the Marquee Champion, this match is more than just proving my worth to you as the newest member of the Boardwalk Angels. This is my opportunity to show the entire LAW audience, the LAW roster and LAW management that I have what it takes to become a champion here in this company! I have been a champion in every single company that I have been a part of, and I plan to become a champion here as well!”
Cocking my head to the side a little, I clasp my hands together around my knee.
“I know you’re not going to be like Milisandre Crowthorne, Roxy Cotton or Sarah Lacklan and underestimate me, Crystal. I know you’re going to expect the fight of your life and you’ll be pleased to know that you’re damn well going to get it! We’re going to tear the house down and blow the roof off of the Williams Arena when we tear it up in the middle of that ring! Because that’s what we both love to do! We both like to have matches that these great fans will never forget and I plan to show them that I can hang with the best of the best and with you being Marquee Champion? That shows me that you are indeed one of the best in this company right now.”
I run my right hand through my long jet black hair and smirk.
“So this is my chance to make a statement! This is my chance to show that Stacy Jones can hang in the big leagues! I need to prove myself by beating the best of the best and if that means having to beat you, Crystal? Then that’s exactly what I’ll do! You know it’s nothing personal, it’s just business...and this is a tough, cut-throat business where no matter whether you have friends or not? Everyone is trying to become the best of the best!”
Uncrossing my legs now, I place both of my feet firmly on the floor and rest my forearms on my thighs.
“So I hope you’re prepared for an ass whoopin’, Crystal...because I’m not gonna hold back just because you’re my friend. No matter who my opponent is, I always give them my all! Hell, I even beat my own flesh and blood when I defeated my half-brother, Seifer Black in HYBRID to become Evolution Champion...in a match where the protective mats were stripped from the ring AND the floor on the outside! So the question you need to ask yourself is this, Crystal...if I am willing to do that to my own brother? What do you think I will do to you when we step into that ring? And I don’t mean that with malicious intent, honey...I’m just simply showing you the lengths I will go to to help myself climb the proverbial mountain of success!”
I stand to my feet and make my way over to the camera, still focused on it.
“So Crystal? At LAW #70 live from the Williams Arena on October 10th, you will suffer my Judgement! Your Final Penance...is coming!”
And with that, I shut the camera off forcing it to cut to black.
Like it or not, the wrestling business is a dog eat dog world out there and if you make friends in it, there are going to be times like this when you have to face them. If you don’t like it? You either need to bite the bullet and accept it or find a different career.
I have never backed down from any challenge, no matter who I’m up against.
And this time is no different!
But first, after everything that’s been happening lately with my friend Seleana Zdunich a.k.a Cat, I figured I’d try and see if she fancied having a night out on the town with me.
