Welcome to...
Hiya guys and gals!
This is Carmen Diaz, LAW's lead interviewer, and once again I bring you "Carmen's Corner". It’s been an amazing week so it’s time to get to the news.
News and Rumors:
- It's with great pleasure and a humble heart that I announce that LAW made not one, but TWO lists of to wrestling companies on the market today. We ranked #24 on the top 50 list, and #6 for the month of June on another. You can read both lists here:
TOP 50: efedrankings.wordpress.com/2014/07/03/thetop-50-e-feds/
TOP 10: ewzine.com/archives/14145
Thank you guys so much for helping LAW make the lists. Let's continue to make July even better!
- The 8 women chosen for the mini tournament could all also be in the Queen of the Ring tournament. Who knows will be involved in that? But in August, our next iPPV will be live from, for the first time ever, Las Vegas, Nevada! The Mandalay Bay events center will be rocking on August 24, and tickets are going on sale Saturday the 12th.
- LAW has come to terms on the release of Aphrodite and Faith. We wish them well in their future endeavors.
LAW #9 Review:
- We were a little early this week, but it was for a good cause. Obviously, Violet's injury is a massive blow to the company, as she was a tremendous asset. But it has created an opportunity for Gabby Camacho, Crystal Hilton, Keira Fisher, Priscilla Price, Summer St. Clair, Ash Scion, Sidney Grey, & Skye Sparks. Skye and Crystal were already major contenders to the title, so they have to be considered favorites, but this whole thing is wide open.
- Ash Scion and Summer St. Clair had a fun match that saw Ash overcome Summer and her assistant Bambi in order to pick up the victory. Ash clearly has a bright future, but I would not count Summer out of anything in the future.
- Another great debut happened to Gabby Camacho, who was extremely impressive against Aphrodite. Gabby showed a great motor and a never-say-die attitude, and that kind of thinking can lead one far in the wrestling business.
- I will admit, this was a shocking, shocking upset when Keira Fisher defeated Crystal Hilton. I would bet money on Crystal, but Keira showed great heart out there. But, Crystal would have a good night anyway.
- Sidney Grey felt Crystal's wrath as Crystal ruined Sidney's magazine cover reveal, and the whole viewing world had a laugh at it. Cindy Warren wasn't so lucky as Sidney took out her aggression on her, and almost broke her leg. Crystal Hilton made the save, but the damage was clearly done to Cindy.
- The main event? What can I say. It was between two great wrestlers, but really, a natural great, and a rookie who has grown by leaps and bounds! It appears no one can stop The Doc, as she defeated Zelda Knite in a hard hitting match, and I for one was glad to see that in the end, Doc and Zelda each earned a standing ovation.
LAW #10 Preview
It's all about this mini tournament this week. Who is going to rise to the occasion and make their claim to the Marquee title?
Skye Sparks vs. Priscilla Price
This is probably the most interesting match to me, as Skye is a proven commodity, and one half of the tag team champions, and Priscilla has a lot of hype coming on. We've heard a lot about her, but will Priscilla be worth the wait? Skye Sparks is a tough test to start.
Crystal Hilton vs. Gabby Camacho
Gabby was very impressive against Aphrodite, but the competition level goes WAY up in Crystal Hilton. These two are opposites in styles, so that usually makes for a good match up. But will Sidney Grey play a factor into this match?
Keira Fisher vs. Summer St. Clair
Keira is riding a small wave of momentum, while Summer wasn't so lucky last week. But, there is no doubt that Summer will have something in store for Keira, so Keira had better be on her toes. Another sleeper type match which could turn out to be match of the night.
Sidney Grey vs. Ash Scion
We all know Sidney is dangerous, and extremely skilled. We all also know that Ash Scion is going to give 100% each time she's out there, so it will be extremely interesting to see which one of these women will actually go home a loser. Both women will put on a show, and I for one, and most looking forward to this match.
Closing:
Once again, thanks to everyone who made L.A.W #9 possible, and who keep us alive and growing.
Thanks goes out to our friends and affiliates: The WWO alliance, Sin City Wrestling, Boardwalk Wrestling, 4 Corners Wrestling, Uncensored Inc., Girl Power Wrestling, and Inferno Wrestling
And from Lucas and Nicole Dupree thank you's go out to all the female wrestling talent that have spread the word about L.A.W on social media, and those who follow us.
For the crew running L.A.W., I'm Carmen Diaz, and I'll see you here next time on Carmens Corner.
