With a scrape of steel on steel, Alex looked with rare enthusiasm at what lay before her. Alex wasn't a very fashion-conscious person and tended just to go with what she found comfortable but she was a woman on a mission.
Following her successful debut against Katrina, Alex also had three weeks to prepare for her next opponent, Serizawa. In the meantime, she'd flown back home and was at present shopping with her best friend, Cheryl, searching through the local mall for bargains.
Cheryl: So does it hurt?
Alex is almost too busy looking through clothes to really respond.
Alex: *something unintelligible*
Cheryl: Does it hurt?
Alex is quiet.
Cheryl: Alex!
Alex turns around and beams a cute smile.
Alex: Yep?
Cheryl: Does wrestling hurt?
Alex: Only if you don't do it right.
Cheryl: But aren't you flinging people around...punching them...
Alex: Well, I'm too small to fling anyone and I kick people.
Cheryl:...You know what I mean. What's the worst injury you've had?
Alex: Geez, did you become a sadist whilst I was gone? Alright...
Alex suddenly opens her mouth really wide as Cheryl looks disturbed at her best friend's antics.
Alex: 'ee ose eef?
Cheryl: Alex, close your mouth.
Alex does so.
Alex: See those teeth? The two front ones?
Cheryl: Yeah.
Alex: They're fake. Had them knocked out.
Cheryl: Oh my god. In a match?
Alex: No. Billy Soames. Year 2. Last time I turn around at the bottom of a slide.
Cheryl: I didn't think it was possible, but you've gotten weirder since you've been gone. What did those Yanks do to you?
Alex: Nothing. Wait a second.
Alex shuffles out of her pumps and pulls at her white socks. Taking the socks in hand, she then places them over her pigtails.
Alex: Braid warmers. Good idea?
Cheryl: If you want hair that smells like foot cheese.
Alex looks deep in thought for a moment and then takes the socks off of her head and stuffs them in her jean pockets. Already attracting some attention.
Cheryl: So...with that weirdness out of the way...who are you facing next?
Alex smiles as she rushes off to another rack of clothes. Cheryl follows suit.
Alex: Some girl named...Serizawa, that's it.
Cheryl: A fellow asian. Interesting.
Alex: They have their own group. Seriously, there's an asian gang in the company.
Cheryl: And you won't join?
Alex: I'm a lone wolf, Cheryl. A lone, solitary wolf.
Cheryl: I thought you were a sloth.
Alex turns and raises her eyebrows at Cheryl.
Cheryl: I watched for about five minutes. You just happened to be on. Surprisingly, you weren't naked.
Alex: Why would I be naked?
Cheryl: Come on. All female wrestling company? You're not seriously suggesting that no perverts go to your shows.
Alex: Everything's above board.
Alex continues searching through clothes and finds a lacy thong as Cheryl raises an eyebrow.
Cheryl: Always had you down for boxers.
Alex: I'm thinking...for the KMA...is it too much...too little maybe a better term.
Cheryl: KMA?
Alex: Yeah. It's when I've got someone sitting in the corner. Pull down my jeans and...
Cheryl: Oh, Alex! What the hell!?
Alex: Just a little rubbing. Y'know, it's what it stands for Kiss My A-
Cheryl: Charming.
Alex: What's wrong with cutting loose? Look, I've never really been in trouble my whole life. Never rebelled, never bucked the system and I'm happy with that. Just give me this one little slice of subversion.
Cheryl: Alex, last Christmas you ran around in a cape screaming "I'm the Mistress Of Planet Pigeon!"
Alex: So? It's not like I was drunk or on drugs or anything.
Cheryl: No! Because that would explain your weirdness!
Alex: You know what I mean. I always try and be good. I'm proud of that. Just give me this dark side.
Cheryl: *sigh* Alex, it's not a dark side. It's you pushing your bum into a stranger's face.
Alex: Colleagues. Not strangers.
Cheryl simply stares back.
Alex: So I have your permission?
Cheryl: Permission? Alex, wha-?
Alex: Great!
Alex sweeps Cheryl in a hug and kisses her on the cheek. Fade to later in the day and we get a close-up of Alex's face as she's still smiling
Alex: So...great debut against Katrina from THE UNDEFEATED ALEX YIIIIIIIN! Yes, it's still Alex Yin. Y-I-N. Now, it's Serizawa's turn to experience some "Yinnovation".
Alex leans into camera slightly.
Alex: Miss Serizawa, I've been checking up on you. Street tough rockin' chick. You look like you breathe fire and spit nails. Well, as for me...
The camera pans out and we see Alex is wearing a pink onesie. She pulls up the hood and it has freakin' bunny ears!
Alex: Meet your opponent! Now, I'm trusting you saw how I handled Katrina, so I'm guessing that you know I'm no pushover. However, I am still new around these parts and I'm looking for a buddy.
Alex tilts her head to the side, her big eyes full of sincerity.
Alex: Maybe we could be friends. But in the meantime, we'll have to settle as opponents. Also, I'm bringing a friend with me back to America!
Cheryl suddenly jumps in, holding a plane ticket.
Alex: We have a lot of packing and organising to do...so I'll just leave you with this gesture.
Alex turns slightly and kisses her palm. Her other hand seemingly moving to unbutton the underside and display her backside. Cheryl darts in to stop her as we fade to black.
