They say there's a first for everything and at the moment, this seems to be the first time (at least simce joining LAW) that Alex Yin looked angry. Genuinely angry. Granted, an angry Alex Yin was not quite as angry as most people but the lack of a smile on her face was a startling look already. Beyond anger though, Alex just felt hurt. She'd just witnessed Mackenzie Roberts act like a complete monster in the ring and it shook her.
Of course Alex knew Mackenzie was "bad news". Everyone had told her that since the day she declared her feelings for Mackenzie but this was still rather shocking. It stung Alex just as muchnas if it had been her attacked in that ring. Still feeling sore from her intense match with Oni, Alex's emotions were already set on edge. She was happy...sort of...that Mackenzie had won. That smle that she so rarely saw took her breath away. Still, it made her wish that she'd never laid eyes on Mackenzie, let alone fall for her like she had done.
Like she was still doing.
Alex still had faith that somewhere inside Mackenzie was a good person. A caring person. But that faith had been tested tonight.
As the locker room door opened, a wincing Alex pushed herself up onto her feet, shaking with fatigue and pain both emotional and physical. Before the door was even fully opened, Alex found herself shouting almost despite herself.
Alex tries to respond, but the words catch in her throat before she can finally spit them out.
Alex: Happy!? I have put up with a lot from you these past few weeks, Mackenzie but...GOD! I don't think I've ever been this angry at someone!
Alex was visibly shaking, her face turning almost red with rage. After taking a few breaths, Alex tries to calm down.
Alex: Do you honestly not see what's wrong with what you just did? You made an impact, alright. You acted like a flippin' psychopath!
Alex then threw her head back as she covered her face with her hands.
Alex: Also, do you realise that if Gabby decides to get even, I'm a target. People talk about us, Mackenzie; and if Camacho, who I've never even met and may quite like if I did, sees a way to get to you by taking me out...she may just take it.
Alex then siat back down, partly because she felt like she was either going to faint or puke if she stood much longer, and lowers her head.
Alex: I've been sat here, all these thoughts whirling around my head. You...the brutality of what you just did. What that means to Gabby....what it means to me...the fact that you could end up getting really hurt over this. I mean, really hurt.
Alex then raises her head.
Alex: I don't want to feel this way about you, I don't. You're sick, Mackenzie. I don't mean that you're evil, I mean that I seriously worry that you have a problem and I want to help...but...
Alex then starts to sob. How many tears must she shed before Mackenzie actually listens?
Alex: I don't know how much more of this I can take!

Mackenzie laughs a little bit and shakes her head. She quickly puts her hair up.
Mackenzie Roberts: I need help? Look at you coming into this locker room crying to someone that doesn't care what you think what you feel. Really? Come on.
Alex wipes some tears away as she scowls at Mackenzie and her heartless attitude. Alex still assumed it was all an act. At least she hoped it was.
Alex: I guess I may just have to accept that you don't have the same feelings about me that I have about you, but that's not the issue. Frankly, even without these...complications...I would still chew you out over this.
Alex then actually starts to laugh, almost mirroring Mackenzie.
Alex: Of course, we all know that this whole "I don't care" act is all bull. What are you, fifteen? Even I know that the ones who shout about how little they care are usually the ones who are the most scared.
Alex wipes her last tear away, sniffs, and then smiles.
Alex: Mackenzie, I'm so angry at you right now but I don't hate you. I don't. Because you know what? I'm stronger than that and...sorry to say this, but I'm stronger than you. Frankly, I feel sorry for you more than anything. I've been fortunate to make friends here in LAW. Nyako, Oni, Serizawa, even you. And you know why? Because I'm happy enough about myself to be around other people. I bet you everything that Kate Steele doesn't give a stuff about you.
Alex then moves close to Mackenzie. Not enough to be aggressive, but enough to know she's not scared of her.
Alex: And the real kicker about all of this? I don't care about "The Queen Bitch". I do care about Mackenzie Roberts, but that's a different person. A stronger person. A better person. A person who is stronger because she's not afraid to trust other people. As "The Queen Bitch", you may be successful and self-reliant but you're scared. You're terrified. That's the difference between me and "Queen Bitch", and that's why no matter how many titles she wins or how many more victories she has than me, I will always be stronger.

Mackenzie shakes her head.
Mackenzie Roberts: You stronger than me? Don't make me laugh Alex. I have beaten you in that ring and I am in the finals for my title. You can say what you want about me you can think what you want about me but the reality of it all sweetie is that I am better than you and I have proved it. I don't care what you say. I am going to win the title if you don't want me to win oh well I will do it to spite you and the rest of LAW.
Alex: Didn't you hear what I just said!? It's not about winning or losing matches, Mackenzie! It's how about how miserable you clearly are! I also don't care if you win or if you lose! Yes, I have ties with Oni and I'd like her tomwin but this...
Alex moves her finger in the space between her and Mackenzie.
Alex: Isn't about the tournament. It's not about Oni. It's not about the title.
Alex sighs as she walks forwards and gives a compassionate smile. For the first time since this argument began, the familiar side of Alex was showing.
Alex: It's about you. It's about how I'm crazy about you and...I don't think I'm entirely alone in those feelings. But Mackenzie, listen to me. You're so much greater than the person I saw out there and no title will change that. You got this far because you're great at what you do. Not because of this attitude of yours. Or rather, that you pretend to have.
Alex looks away for a moment before fixing her gaze again on Mackenzie.
Alex: I suppose what I'm trying to say is...you need to trust people, Mackenzie. You need to let people, in there.
Alex gently prodded Mackenzie on her heart, not sure if she was crossing a line.
Alex: How long until you see that by not letting anyone in, you're just hurting yourself so much more than if you weren't afraid of how you feel?
Alex gently comforts her hand aftervMackenzie bats it away. Her smile gone once again.
Alex: Fine. But for the record, you have no reason to think Kate Steele wouldn't stab you in the back. You're going to get hurt, Mackenzie. That's not a threat. That's just life. If you don't trust people, it doesn't mean you're protected, it just means that when you need support, none will be there.
The smile comes back.
Alex: Y'know, people may think I'm the vulnerable one around here because I don't mind showing when I'm hurt, but you seem so fragile. I cry a lot, but I smile too. You just always seem so pained. You're my friend, Mackenzie even if you, supposedly, don't like me. If you want to go around acting all tough, okay.
Alex then steps closer, looking deep into Mackenzie's eyes.
Alex: But when the day comes, and it will come, when you need someone, I'll still care for you. The real you.
Alex: Whatever lies you need to tell yourself, fine, Mackenzie.
Alex then rolls her eyes.
Alex: But in the long run, you're only hurting yourself. That title is just a strap of leather and gold. It's just material. There are more valuable things in this world, Mackenzie, like other people. People who care. I care about you, Mackenzie.
Alex stopped in her tracks, a curious look on her face.
Alex: Okay, maybe you don't. I'll just give you something to think about.
Alex then leant in and kissed Mackenzie again. Like before, Mackenzie seemed to reciprocate as Alex passed her a note in her back pocket. As Alex then pulled away, she licked her lips.
Alex: Of course you don't care. Come on, Chewball.
Carefully, Alex crouches to pick up her animal carrier as she opens the locker room door and turns to Mackenzie.
Alex: You're worth than you think, Mackenzie. A lot more.
And with that, Alex was gone; leaving behind a note. Across the envelope were the words "DON'T OPEN UNTIL VALENTINE'S DAY. XOX."
