It was as if it was a bad dream, a nightmare as Nyako watched her little sister get handcuffs slapped on her wrist. She stood in shock as Song was being pulled away from them, crying and pleading for them to help her. Nyako didn’t know what to do. Was this real? It couldn’t be, and yet she felt her little sisters hand get pulled out of hers. She saw the officers reading Song her rights. This couldn’t be happening. How could this be happening?!
She tried to remember what caused all this to breakdown in a matter of moments as they were feet away from leaving all together, resolved in silent solidarity to get beyond this and then it happened.
She snapped her neck around in the direction of the littler toad that ruined it all. The one who spewed the venomous words. The Judas in their group. He was the one who did this, he was the one who caused this pain.
“You fucking little piece of shit!” She snarled through clenched teeth as he felt her anger rise exponentially. She began seeing red as she looked on Uzai. She wanted to ring his scrawny neck and watch his eyes pop out as he tried desperately to breath.
“YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!” She said as she launched herself toward him, not caring that they were still I nthe police station. She wanted to see him dead with every fiber in her body.

It was if everything was moving in slow motion. SoLo was being dragged away and Nyako was inches from ripping Uzai’s head off. Detective Dillon grabbed Nyako, no doubt looking to protect his witness. I made for Uzai, grabbing him and pulling him away. I pushed him against the wall, putting my forearm right into his throat.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!!” I screamed right into his face, confusion filling me.
His eyes were wide with panic as he struggled, unsure of who had him. “Mistress Oni!! Don’t you see what she is doing? Don’t you see how she is hurting you? HURTING US?!!”
For a moment, I was confused as to the meaning behind his words. “Hurting us? Who!! What are you talking about?!!”
“SONG!! SHE’S TAKING YOU AWAY FROM THE CLAN…AWAY FROM ME!!” He grabbed my shoulders, shaking me, imploring me to understand.
His words hit me in the stomach like the hardest punch I had ever taken. He was expressing his love and devotion to me…doing what he could to protect me…at least, in his mind. I was his Mistress and SoLo was the invader…she was taking his place…leaving no room for him. My heart broke for him…and felt his pain in my own bones. I had been the cause of this…I had been the one who had made him into what he had become…a slave to what I had once been. “Uzai…you must stop this…this isn’t what I want! This isn’t for the good of the clan!”
This time I watched as his eyes focused on mine…seeing me…really seeing me as I was. “Y-You…you don’t love me?” His eyes filled with tears as his body shook.
I wanted to tell him that I did…I wanted to make him understand, but I knew how deep his obsession ran. I grabbed his shoulders, pulling him close to me as I let the words tumble from my mouth, “No!” I shoved him back hard, sending him back-first into the wall. I could see the hurt in his eyes…but it paled in comparison to my own.
Uzai stood there, staring at me…trying to see through my lie, looking for some thread that he could grasp hold of…but there was none. I refused to let my emotions betray me in this. It was all that I could do.
More officers ran in, pulling at me, pushing Nyako, and grabbing Uzai. Detective Dillon struggled to hold back Nyako as he yelled for the officers to move Uzai away from us, doing what he could to protect his witness.

“LET GO OF ME DAMMIT!!! II WANT TO KILL THAT FUCING LYING BACKTABBER!” Nyako yelled as Detective Dillon held on to her struggling form.
The only thing Nyako had on her mind was causing major amount of pain to Uzai for throwing Song under the bus like he did. From the very start she knew she didn’t like him and always felt he would do something that would make her regret not chasing him off when she had the chance. But he convinced her he could keep Kymiku safe. Of course with everything falling apart like it was that was a lie in itself. Look at what she had gotten herself into under his supposed watch. He seemed to let her go on a path a self-destruction and now was going to throw Song down the same path also.
“Ma’am if you do not stop this we will have to restrain you for your own safety and the safety of our witness.” Detective Dillon told Nyako as he tried calming her down to no effect. “GET HIM OUT OF HER NOW!” he yelled to the other officers.
A few of them grabbed Oni away from Uzai after she said no to Uzai before pushing him back against the wall. Nyako saw the hurt, betrayal in his face as he looked at Oni in shock and disbelief. Nyako wasn’t sure what happened but it did give her a small bit a relief to see him pained like he was. It still didn’t stop her for wanting to inflict her own pain on him though.
A couple of other officers lead the dejected looking Uzai toward the back of the station as those that remained stayed to keep the sisters at bay. Nyako’s struggles quickly faded as she realized she wasn’t going to be able to get at Uzai and Detective Dillon’s grip loosened up on her.
“I’m fine, you can let go of me now. Not like I can get to that snake now anyway.” she said in an icy tone toward Detective Dillon.
He gauged her with a cautious eye not knowing if her could believe her or not. “Are you sure?”
“Shawty say she fine. Take her word on it. She ain’t one to be lyin’ like that.” A tall muscular carmel colored skinned man said as he entered the Station, a moment after all the hysterics broke down. He scanned the seen liking his lips wit ha slight smirk on his face.

Raheem didn’t know what he had walked in the middle of, but he saw that it was an all out melee and Nyako was right in the middle of it. He pulled Nyako out of the grip of the plain clothes officer, feeling a bit of jealousy as he looked the man up and down. “Ease back…you don’t need to be puttin’ yo’ hands on her!”
The Detective stepped back, eyeing Raheem. “We are in the middle of a serious investigation here and your ‘friend’ is interfering. If you don’t want her staying the night…I suggest you get her out of here.” He pointed at one of the uniformed officers, “Get her information before she leaves…” he turned and looked a Raheem, “…and get her boyfriend’s information too!”
Raheem felt Nyako tense up as the officer called him her boyfriend, but he held up her his hand to quiet her. “Don’t say nothin’ Ny!” He turned back to the officer, “Fine! But we aint leaving without our peoples.”
Detective Dillon folded his arms as he raised his eyebrows. “Look Slick! This isn’t Mall Security…this is the Police Department and you two are going to get the hell out of here while we do our job, or you two love birds are going to be wearing matching bracelets!” He pointed to Oni, “She is staying here until we get a statement from that…that…man…woman?”
Raheem shrugged as he could tell that Dillon was unsure of Uzai’s sex. “Bruh, I don’t know what it is either!” Raheem pulled out his ID and handed it to one of the officers, then turned to Nyako. “Just give them th’ information….we aint leavin’ wit’out yo’ sister…promise!”
“Don’t you think you’ve done enough to ‘help’ Oni?” She snapped back at Raheem as her anger found a new target to lash out at. To her it seemed to be a parade of betrayers. From Uzai to Raheem, difference being Uzai was blatant about it while Raheem still tried to be coy about the whole thing and eve act as if he was here to help. If he was trying to be their savior, Nyako wasn’t going to make it easy for him.
She began to speak as she turned away from Raheem toward the Detective.“He’s not my boyfriend or anything of the like, he’s another backstabbing sack of crap like that one you have in police protection. But he’s right about one damn thing, you are not holding both my sisters. You may have bought that account from that thing. But you still got nothing on Kym, so if you don’t want a massive lawsuit, you will do the right thing and let me and my sister go.”
She dared him to say something. She wanted nothing more than to make everyone suffer for what was going down tonight. She wanted an excuse to let out all the rage she was feeling and just itched for Detective Dillon to say or do something to set her off.

As much as I wanted to leave the station, I knew that I shouldn’t. I was the reason for this mess and I had to see it through to the end. “Ny…I’m going to stay here. Someone should be here with Song.” The next words that came out of my mouth nearly gave me physical pain. “Go with Raheem.”
Detective Dillon seemed surprised by my willingness to stay. “You’re making the right choice.” He turned his attention to Nyako. “Now…if you are done playing at being a lawyer, I’d like to get back to being a cop!”
The Detective walked over to me, and instead of handcuffing me, he placed his hand on my back and gently escorted me out of the lobby. I turned to Nyako and gave her a look that I hoped would convey to her to be calm. I intended to see this mess through and I didn’t want her worried about what she had no power to change.
