We open, strangely enough, on a framed picture of a tortoise. The picture is surrounded by lit candles in the otherwise dark room. It's late at night, as Alex Yin lights the last candle and then sits back on her couch, in a pair of pink pyjamas. Settling back, she opens her laptop and the view switches to the laptop as Alex puts out an open video message.
Alex: Hiya, my LAW colleagues! Y'allright? You may have heard, but I've recently suffered a...death in the family. My beloved tortoise, Zip, who I've had since I was little, passed away at my parents' house back in Sheffield. The funeral was today. Rest in piece, my slow and scaly friend.
Alex kisses the picture and as she puts it away, we see clearly a small thing cradled in her arms. On closer inspection, it's clearly another tortoise.
Alex: So, I've gone and bought myself a new pet. George. Say, hi, George!
All we can see is a shell, but slowly a small head pokes out, opens its mouth and then goes back inside.
Alex: He's still a little shy and he won't be at any shows, so Chewie, don't be jealous. You still get the spotlight.
Alex looks off-screen as Chewie crawls towards her. Alex then puts George back in his temporary home, a shoe box.
Alex: Now, Zip's recent change of address to Tortoise Heaven has me thinking about the things precious to me but also that you have to live life while you can...and I'm feeling a little excited and so I present to you...
Alex then suddenly pushes her laptop back and puts her legs up on the coffee table in front of her. On her feet are two pink bunny slippers that are right against the camera.
Alex: Meet Flopsy...
Alex flexes her left foot to the camera as if the slipper is "bowing".
Alex: And Mopsy.
Alex does the same with her right foot.
Alex: Since I'm not going to be wrestling for the title anymore, what say I put these babies up for a challenge?
Alex then holds her arms out,
Alex: Don't worry about the bunnies. They want some time away from me anyway. The risk is all on me. So...
Alex then suddenly whips off the slippers and holds them to camera.
Alex: Anyone who beats me next week, gets the slippers!
Alex then turns and holds one slipper up to her ear.
Alex: *to the slipper* Yeah, good thinking, Flopsy. *to camera* Flopsy says it'd be even more fun if we threw something else in. What could we do?
Alex holds holds a forefinger to her mouth in thought before she suddenly almost leaps up in revelation.
Alex: I got it! Just to make things interesting...and to add even more of a challenge for me...there's only one way I can win.
Alex then stands and turns her back to the camera.
Alex: Since I've still not fully made good on the KMA, why not make it my sole win condition. My opponent can pin me, make me tap...whatever...but in order for me to win.
Alex shakes her bum at the camera. Suggestively tugs at the waistband, but then sits back down.
Alex: So that's my challenge, guys. Want the slippers? I'll be waiting.
Alex isn't kidding as she sits at her screen, waiting for someone on the roster to send a video message in response.
